As you face the console and gaze upon it, the button to your right glows a dark blue, the button on your left glows green. A small placard on the top center of the console reads: Press one button. There is no other text on the console or in the room aside from the floor number. ColdJ Posted July 22, 2023 Share Posted July 22, 2023 Floor 3573: This floor is a dull gray and not all there. You realise that you have arrived too early and that it is still being rendered. Which means that each floor is being procedurally generated just before you arrive. This means you are unlikely to know what could be next and that there may be no end to this building. You wait patiently till it is finished and textured, it turns out to be a grand bathing house with what looks like marble for its floors and columns. You get in the large pool of water, that is at a comfortably warm temperature, and soak all your tensions away. This should give the next floor time to finish before you arrive. The door as you look at is fairly simple in construction. 2 wrought iron hinges on the left affix the door to the frame and a simple wrought iron knob is set in place on the right. With the confidence of a well practiced fighter you reach out with your left hand towards the knob. A bead of sweat forms on your half giant brow as your hand contacts the knob. You pause for a moment as you recall the words of the older elvish woman: “Beyond a door of wood and iron you will find….” The rest of her words fail to return as suddenly the door splinters as a giant owl bear bursts through.
