  2. Your statement that crossdressing and being trans aren't that different is a classic transphobic dogwhistle. The fact that you're acting righteous about it just indicates that you're doing that knowingly. I know you're not going to care, because, very clearly, you're doing this with intention, but I want it on the record so that nobody starts asking "What did Meecrob do?" when you get the boot for breaking forum rules.
  3. Pretty much the point I was making in response to Sure it was an improvement and there was some actual content finally after a year of development; but it is far from what I would refer to as "extremely polished".
  4. Edge of Eternity is now on version 0.23! Ensure you download the new dependencies when you update. Changelog available on the github
  5. I think Take-Two is definitely being silent due to the near date for that earnings call. That may be the first time we hear anything new. Although it may be very low-content corporate-speak. I really don't know about Take-Two backing a restart of KSP 2. And any independent studio entering into a contract with Take-Two to do so better read and negotiate very very carefully. I am almost certain that Take-Two will never sell KSP, even if KSP 2 is shut down. That bears the grave risk of someone doing a better job with KSP than Take-Two's minions did, making Take-Two and its execs look incompetent. If they figure there's no future, they will take the loss and wind things down, one way or another.
  6. You know, the idea is not bad - but I would do some calculations the same just for it, and I think I found a dirty trick to get it for free. I don't have the time to try it in the short term (things are somewhat hairy on DayJob©), so I'm reticent to open my big mouth without proper grounds (I had to eat my words recently on MM/L on something about :HAS, I think it's a good idea to try to avoid doing it again! )
  7. But then why not just deinvest the Studio and recoup the money? Like... I'm a taxi driver, and the costs of the car are eating badly the incoming and I want to quit this taxi business. In this situation, how I would recoup most of the money? By selling the car to someone willing to be in this business or by putting it down into a recycler for the money from the recycled materials? It's the reason I think we are missing something important - the only situation in which the second option on my example above would be the best outcome is if the price of the recycled materials after writing the car off outweigh the money you would earn by selling the car to someone. What's only true if the car is really a rotten tomato... Or you had stripped the car of anything valuable and then are going to deduct the price you paid for it from the taxes as losses.
  8. What's more, as would be said in the Intelligence World, his Legend has been burned. Who in their right mind will ever believe anything he says in the future?
  9. It's a major change, the increase in observation and combat drones. This has actually been going on over the last few decades. It's just not been put out in public that much before the Russo-Ukraine War. There's been similar factors for decades, like overhead satellite and aircraft observation. Thus the need for Air Sentries and appropriate reaction drills. Also the need for survivable surveillance radars and a warning system, because without them, if fast air (a threat decades old) attacks, you don't know it until they're leaving, having dropped their ordnance.
  10. Unfortunately, there seems to be an issue for me - when I gain funds (like through milestones or contracts) they're just added to the cap. From what I can guess based on the description, that's not supposed to happen?
  11. How many years of professional game development work do you and many others have combined? How many people have you hired to work on a game project? How many people have you had to fire for poor performance in game development? How many lay-offs in game development industry have you survived? I have a decade of experience, led multiple development teams at companies ranging from start-up mobile games to Blizzard managing cross-platform development on a live title, put in people for promotions, put people on PIP, fired people, have been layed-off as the highest salary engineer on basis of that alone, have been hired for an even higher salary immediately after that, and have seen waves after waves of people come and go for more reasons than I care to name. Never in my life have I seen a studio shut down for poor performance. Because if you're a VP and all you have is an underperforming studio, you fire five people at its head, replace them, and show how badass you are to your management when that studio starts delivering on target. That is the easiest way to score promotions and bonuses in management. You don't throw that opportunity away. This is a career move for absolutely anyone with high management aspirations. But go on, tell me how you and many others are a better judge of that based on your career doing whatever it is you do.
  12. liquid right off! I was extending an olive branch because we have had it out before, but no, YOU said "transphobia" nobody else did. I said I crossdress. Do you understand the difference between I'm, 39 and I am bored of pants, and being scared of trans people? Get real, Go report this, I'll take my lumps. Get out of my thread, please...is what I would say if I was a jerk, lol. You can't get under my skin, no matter how hard you try. I try
  13. I'm about the current events to the North from the Black Sea. Based on what we know about them, both parties use tens thousands of (expendable and reusable) air drones and train tens thousands of their operators, together with tanks and shovels. Also the sea drones are widely used, and the ground drones have been tested. So, it's almost a whole army of bots flying, swimming, and sometimes crawling around, and they are quickly evolving. Just now they are controlled by humans.
  14. I find "trans = crossdressing" brand transphobia hard to take seriously when it's coming from the second person this week to start talking like an anime villain during the climax of a battle.
  15. Things are getting busy around the household with the end of the school year and whatnot. So the mission report will be going on hiatus for a little bit. Check back again about the middle of June or so.
  16. I love that joke! You and me..we aren't that different. I crossdress. We have different opinions, but thats the point...its boring if we all think the same.. I know you are growing up...hell, I still am...we all find ourselves in our own way. Keep on doing yo' thang!
  17. I, and many others, say poor performance makes you more likely to get fired than not. If you have something to back up this illogical claim that this is untrue, then I could use a good laugh too.
  18. All that says is that your intuition about the industry is way off and you have not developed critical thinking skills to challenge it. And if you feel like arguing about it, start by providing some numbers showing that Tango Gameworks was a failing studio not generating the revenue. We can all use a laugh.
  19. Gotta be honest and tell you that I reported this thread. This is far more dangerous and poisonous than any flame war between forum members ever could be.
  20. This isn't a problem that is best characterised by anecdotes. This is best characterised by statistics and examining the details and intensity of the failures. In short, adoption of large battery packs in hybrid and EVs poses some major significant threats that are being barely dealt with. Currently, the handling of petroleum products in vehicles has had over a century of experience, development, and improving safety standards and firefighter responses. Near every tool the firefighters have can be used against petroleum fires, even in the worst case water (as a fine mist spray that cools the fire and puts droplets on top of the liquids despite the relative densities). As many working in chemistry and material handling know, large metal fires are nearly the worst to deal with short of letting them burn and trying to minimize the peripheral damage and inhalation of the toxic smoke. Even outside of damage induced incidents, large batteries from those in hybrid vehicle and up suffer a significant rate of thermal runaway. The handling of petroleum products is sufficiently mature and proper equipment and training so near universal that there is no equivalent threat from conventional petroleum powered vehicles. Thermal runaway of even just hybrid battery packs is a catastrophic event that only recently has firefighters equipped with an appropriate tool: firefighters in full gear smash in a window, then back off and put in a brine flooding wand to cool and discharge the battery. Despite the lower proportion of large battery equipped vehicles in the overall vehicle population, large battery pack fires are a more significant threat due to the intense nature of the metal fires.
  21. So you think if we hear a confirmation that the studio got shutdown, it had nothing to do with their “performance”? So you’re saying if they had stellar performance with ever increasing sales numbers they would still have been fired? That seems very unlikely to me.
