Dumpling range challenge
Rocket In My Pocket replied to Pds314's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
I mean..the offset tool is far from a trick? It's pretty simple actually. (It's absolutely something most people here on the board who do these challenges know about.) We've had challenges to glide all the way to the island runway using launch clamp height, so it should definitely be clarified in the rules if such things are allowed or not, as it will add considerable distance to any flight, and will most certainly be used if allowed. -
Dumpling range challenge
Rocket In My Pocket replied to Pds314's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
I don't see any rule about starting way up on a launch clamp? Which would easily let you go way further, prolly further with no fuel just gliding, than someone could do powered from the ground with the fuel. Should definitely be a rule about a max starting height. -
A 'night mode' for VAB and SPH
Rocket In My Pocket replied to GoldForest's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
It was outdated and abandoned, but then picked up by @linuxgurugamer It's only listed as 1.6.1 compatible, but I wouldn't be surprised if it works fine. -
I find the "not just for purchasers" tag a bit confusing?

Asymmetrical Aircraft Challenge
Rocket In My Pocket replied to Klapaucius's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
Well; A. We all understood what he meant by the name clearly. B. Naming conventions aside, the challenge is to build a plane without ever using a part twice. Perhaps the name isn't 100% accurate but if anything it would be the name that changed, not the rules. C. No one cares? Lol.- 148 replies

What possible practical use could that have for starters? It was done to fix bugs, some very nasty ones at that; even you seem to accept this despite stating you can't understand. KSP is supposed to be a realistic orbital mechanics simulator, not a realistic "tire touching" simulator. Lol.

[Thread Closed Either Temporarily / Permanently]
Rocket In My Pocket replied to FahmiRBLX's topic in KSP1 Discussion
My advice would be to stop caring what others think about what you choose to play. Also, yeah; rather one sided thread. (You only listed the pros for your side and no cons.) Obviously anyone here would be too biased towards KSP, so our opinions would mean little to anyone you need to "defend" KSP to. -
Am I the only one who hates how Scatterer looks? I have a great computer now that can run it with no issues, but it just doesn't fit the look of the game at all, and actually makes it look worse in places. Making it stock? No thanks! We won't even get into how that would affect the minimum system requirements for people with weaker computer setups.

Node markers
Rocket In My Pocket replied to Ron Devu's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Just eyeball it till it's relatively straight up and down? Doesn't have to be perfect, and if it's for a contract, they'll show you the exact orbit it needs to be in. -
EVE+SciFi is very performance friendly; Scatterer is the culprit here. You need EVE. Scatterer is a separate mod that is optional. That's Scatterer, which is the exact reason I don't like/use it myself.

I tested it launching from Kerbin, landing on the Mun, and returning basically, and my plan was just to orbit Minmus after/before and return. May need more tweaks for that though, haven't tested that portion. Well, it was empty while testing, and I'm not sure how I'd actually fill it if that's a requirement? I don't have that many Kerbals lol. However, actually having them onboard wouldn't change anything so I don't see why that should matter. Your challenge though, your rules; let me know. The entire thing de-orbits safely, and lands with everything that you see orbiting the mun in the one screen shot from my last post. It goes nose first with an inflatable heatshield and then turns around after heating and deploys parachutes/legs. (If I recall correctly, on my test run; I did lose a couple landing legs to heat I think? But it had enough left to land upright.) As I said in my post; I really don't know if I'll have time to actually finish your challenge, but I'd like to do so, and would like to record the whole thing and upload a nice video if I can. I appreciate your interest, and the fun I've already had so far with your challenge!

The fuel highway rough idea (edit: more like hub)
Rocket In My Pocket replied to M_Rat13's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Something I like to do a lot is, to send the craft itself up to LKO empty of fuel on a launcher. This makes the most inefficient part of the trip easier, and then it's a simple matter of using a refueler in LKO to top it off, or just send a second launch with a fuel payload to dock and fill her up. They say once you are in LKO you are "half way to anywhere" so to me at least, it makes the most sense to refuel there and then head out to your destination. It's also easy and convenient, as setting up infrastructure there is simple and close. -
Not entirely true actually. The last available version of the demo is still available on 3rd party "free download" sites like Softonic. Or at least it was last I checked. Update: Ok, so looks like that particular link is broken, you can try this though if you are on Steam. https://steamdb.info/app/231410/

I need help
Rocket In My Pocket replied to Mikenike's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Not really, nor would it matter since it's single player. There is a building editor if that's what you are asking? Where you got o build the ships you will be using to complete your contracts. -
I need help

Off topic, but man I kind of hate the whole answer voting thing, this conversation is almost impossible to follow because all the responses have been moved out of place.
