Zoomer v0.2.0 - KSP1 Style Zoom and Pan

If your disappointment was so immediate, you should have gotten a refund. Then you can try to buy it again when it has the features you find fun.

KSP2 Does not follow the coriolis effect.
Superfluous J replied to ryleymcc's topic in Science & Spaceflight
I would like to see your simulation to determine what you're saying. If you shoot a rocket into space, and then thrust it such that it has exactly 0 surface velocity (both horizontal and vertical) and then cut the engines, it will not (and should not) land on whatever land is directly beneath it. I don't know any other way to appreciably test this. Note: I did not test this, but have done enough similar stuff to know it's true, barring very good evidence to the contrary. -
Of course it was.

I agree with most everything you said, but I'd like to clarify: The devs don't mind NEGATIVE feedback. The problem is NON-CONSTRUCTIVE feedback. A lot of the details in this very thread are great constructive feedback. Detailing why it's important to be able to make a node in Jool's SOI when you're in Kerbol's SOI is great feedback. People foaming and complaining that the devs don't care and they ruined KSP and why did it take years for this garbage - no matter how much better you feel after saying it and no matter how reasonable it may (or may not ) be - doesn't help one lick and if 99% of the feedback is like that, yeah I'd ignore it too. -
Science Gathering UI/UX Rework
Superfluous J replied to Presto200's topic in KSP2 Suggestions and Development Discussion
Yup and a "run all" button for those who (and those times when you) want to do them all at once. -
What happened to increased communication?

I feel like none of you clicked the link. Here let me put it as an image, spoilered to give the same "surprise!" feels that I believe the original poster was going for. -
Deep Space Methalox Engines...Are Terrible
Superfluous J replied to Scarecrow71's topic in KSP2 Discussion
I've not made it to the bigger LV engines yet but so far with the basic one I've been similarly unimpressed. I make a ship with the LV, make it again with regular methalox engines, I get lower mass, higher TWR, and more dV. I recall in KSP1 the nukes didn't get good until you were really pushing massive payloads around, so maybe I've just not built big enough yet. -

Amusingly, time warp works about the same in KSP2 as it does in KSP1, so at least that core game loop mechanic was incorporated. But seriously, I do understand you are frustrated. I'm merely suggesting you be frustrated that things aren't working the way you want, NOT that the developers don't think your concerns are valid due to "hey we wanted it this way so ,,|, " -

I don't see where they said time warp at lower altitudes being too slow was working as intended. However, I actually think, as the industry defines it, that's exactly what it is. "Working as intended" isn't rhetoric, and it isn't an excuse. It's a description of the state of the bug report. i.e., you don't like something, you report it as a bug, and they classify it not as a bug (because it isn't) but instead as a request for them to reconsider a design decision (which they should). The system is working exactly the way they intended it to work. That intention, however, is wrong/bad/whatever and needs to be reconsidered and changed. This is fundamentally different than "we thought for sure we wrote it to do something else so now we have to figure out what's wrong" (i.e., a bug) You're complaining that they're giving excuses, when all they're doing is categorizing what we've told them we don't like. -
I'm cool with all that being a thing. SHOW IT IN THE MOVIE (not directed at you, of course. Unless you were an integral part of the movie's design team and if so SHOW IT IN THE MOVIE)

"Just" Sure that's possible for trained people with tons of practice, but it seems like Jessica would have gotten knocked around quite a bit in her little wicker basket. Should have shown her with a black eye and maybe a broken arm or something.

Note: You CAN put a maneuver node at Mun's SOI when you're in Kerbin's SOI. You just have to do it on the portion of your projected path that is in Kerbin's SOI, not Mun's. ...which is enough of a PITA that it's not really worth doing, but still it's POSSIBLE. -
I thought Dune 2 was a little bit more "story" heavy than 1 was, as in lots more telling stuff, lots less doing stuff. I don't recall how it goes in the books but I got the feeling that maybe they pushed some of the "boring stuff" that could have been in the 1st movie into the 2nd movie, so that the 1st movie would be better. The first movie felt like a 90 minute movie even though it was actually 2.5 hours. The second one felt like 3 hours even though it was only... well actually it WAS almost 3 hours. I'm not saying I didn't like it. I enjoyed it and will happily watch the next one. But it'd be nice if they showed exactly how they got 50 people and a woman in a wicker basket riding car onto the back of a Worm. ...and then how they got off.

Don't tell them! We don't want them to remove THAT functionality too! -
Does anyone know when landed state bug will be fixed?
Superfluous J replied to Pawelk198604's topic in KSP2 Discussion
In that video I don't see you quicksave/quickload in orbit. Also try exit THE GAME and restarting to the craft in orbit. -

Superfluous J replied to Pawelk198604's topic in KSP2 Discussion
No one knows when it will be fixed. If you install the Community Fixes mod, then quicksave/quickload, or save/exit/reload should fix that instance of the lines disappearing. -
So to sum up this thread: Chris mentioned them once, but they're not in the game currently and no one has actually said when or if they will be. My personal speculation is that they will be in the game eventually, and we'll be able to build colonies on them.

Atmospheric Sniffer Changes
Superfluous J replied to Scarecrow71's topic in KSP2 Suggestions and Development Discussion
It's also not Kerbal SCIENCE program, or Kerbal LANDING program, or Kerbal COLONY program. So they should remove Science and landing gear, and stop working on colonies? From your argument, you shouldn't be using the atmospheric sniffer anyway because you can't use it in SPACE. -

Because then it goes from an interesting gameplay challenge to a bonus for going to Duna instead of Dres. -

Not to be the old man that yells at clouds, but the whole Internet started going downhill when Usenet groups started migrating to forums.
