Read the first page guys "These are Kerbal versions of NASA rockets, not NASA replicas. Replicas are not the direction I want to go with FASA. I want to keep it fun, simple, easy, and have it be a somewhat stock like in appearance."
-
Meaning his parts or the whole thing? I knew there were a few people working on it.
-
Forgive me if its already been mentioned or talked about but whats the status of the ISS pack, i would love to see that finally be 100%?

[0.25] Lionhead Aerospace Inc. - Icarus v0.4 updated
sp1989 replied to Yogui87's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
anyone heard from Lovad recently? -
Is it possible there is a joint problem with the RL-10's? Everytime I use it the ship is weakest at the rl-10 decoupler meeting point? I tried making the same ship except replacing the rl-10 with another engine and it doesn't fail at all.
-
Is this the proper assembly of HOME 3? Also I just wanted to show you what I mean, if you look at stage two, shouldn't those both be engines? The HOME 3 OS engine shows up as a decouple. It could be very confusing especially on long missions.
-
That goes back to my point is how do you mount them without intersecting with each other?
-
Then where do the M1'S go?
-
Is there a way to make it so they don't clip, also is there away that the engines don't overlap? Perhaps an upper stage f1/m1 mounting plate? I mean the j2 mounting plate work just fine it's just from a realism standpoint all the engines overlapping and intersecting with each other just doesn't loom right. Could you simply add more nodes to the current f1 plate for different configs? Right now the attach nodes are basically on the outside of the plate if you add 4 more inner nodes it looks like there is enough room for proper placement of the engines.
-
Don't all four f1s on the j2 plate intersect with each other? I don't know if I like that, atleast for me I don't like that. It's not realistic.
-
Alright so this version has worked fro me so far Its the f1's and then two nova fuel tanks. Then then J2 plate with 1 m-1 engine for the second stage. I got lucky and somehow got an encounter with Duna, sadly I forgot to put solar panels on the ship. Bill, Jeb, and Bob are now stranded in an orbit around the Sun with no way of return. They are happy though the ride up with the Nova parts was totally worth it. Edit: Added some Solar Panels and I made it to Duna Flyby of Ike High over Duna Getting ready for final decent SM Sep Id like to say it ended well for our intrepid Kerbonauts Gus Kerman may or may not have opened the parachutes too late and they perished from experiencing excessive G forces.

First attempt Second attempt I experienced the same ship exploding during separation. Im definitely having fun tinkering with the new parts. Purely a personal idiosyncrasy I can see the the engines clipping through the adapter plate on the first stage, no matter how much I turn them they still peek through.

Would you mind posting construction instructions or a craft file? Assembly instructions however would be plenty.

I wish I could contribute more than just being really excited about this mod and it's potential! So that being said I will be following this thread very carefully and with anticipation. Good luck! -
Eyes Turned Skywards UPDATE now with Signup Sheet

Agreed furthermore they should be compatible with each other. I mean the saturn v and nova would be how all that stuff got into space. I mean frizz is done with FASA and wants to move on to different things but it would be cool if he could help adapters, decouplers, and fairing just to make these things compatible with FASA. -
Last post of the night I noticed the Recon module doesn't work in the VAB. Obviously the Ant rover isn't updated and the the garage doesn't open in the VAB. It works in game but not the VAB. Also Im not very clear on how to use the HOME 3 OS. Everything goes together well except for the OS. Is the OS supposed to sit on top of the HOME 3 parachute? Also instead of an engine staging logo for the OS its a decoupler staging logo.
-
Me too the RPM doesn't work for the original HOME command pod. I probably messed up somewhere.
