  6. Station and lander arrived at Jool, both into polar orbits, which eventually (though separately) then had Laythe intercepts. (I should have made adjustments on approach to Jool to just come in equatorially, but forgot...). Station sitting pretty and sending back research at 7/day. Lander, well, I had it setup for a heat shield ride thru the atmosphere, and then a parachute to land, then could launch back up, however, I messed the timing on the reentry (who hasn't? ) and it chuted into the ocean, it's just as well, because it ends up the thing weighed too much, if i had hit land all would have died. So I have two Kerbalnauts in a lander can, sitting atop what's left of the lander stage, floating happily. They have power and a place to stay, though cramped, perhaps currents will take them ashore one day......
  7. There is no such thing as cheating in KSP. There are differing methods of working around issues with either the program, or the user's skill.
  8. Oh heavens no! It wasn't planned, originally these were going to go elsewhere, but if staying in the Kerbin SOI I wanted to do an exit and back, to garner points for the crew. But as far as using the one's departure and having the DV to spare on the 2nd's to match them up because I couldn't get the node to grab the intercept, well, I was quite pleased with myself for figuring that one out hehehe ... I would make the assumption that I likely could have done the same thing in LKO, thing is if the maneuver target node would have had Kerbin in the way of a matching burn when getting the second vessel there, something you likely would not have out at the edge, but agreed totally better to head out from LKO in terms of total fuel, etc. I wish I had more time to actually do those moon boost departures and arrivals, because it's fun! Just laziness on my part. The fuel you can save by using the planets and moons, well ... you know
  9. I had two craft in a parked orbit at the outermost region of Kerbin, just short of leaving SOI, they were awaiting a jool launch window. I was playing with a maneuver node to get an intercept, and did so for my manned large lander, and off it went. Came back to my other vehicle, a manned station, and just couldn't replicate the encounter, likely because of numerous factors, but, i found an elegant solution, and I had the DV to do it. From the station, I selected the lander, and then burnt to it's retrograde marker, matching it up .... Encounter! and then adjusted so that the station gets there first hehehe.
  10. Hi gang, Things are well on 1.1.2, with one exception. I had a kerosync sat orbit to perform with visual of the ground station which I executed flawlessly I was within visual sight of the ground station, maybe 3 degrees behind it (still basically overhead) and the contract wouldn't complete due to not fulfilling the line of sight part. All other aspects, orbit, equipment on the sat, being a new sat, were fine. Ok, I chalked it up to a bug, left it and cancelled the contract. The ground station in question and the kerbosync orbit are still showing up in my map. How might I remove them from the persistent file? (If that indeed would be the procedure?)
  11. I had a different issue trying it out ... True, lately I have began using the Lab as soon as I unlocked it to maximize science returns, sent one into kerbin orbit as part of KS1, to receive science data from returning ships, and one as part of a minmus lander. The minmus lander worked great, in the end I had one biome, with about 453 science processed from that data, only issue was one of power. With the amount of batt's I placed and solar panels (with what I had available at that time, and not taking that into consideration), I couldn't complete the transmission Fun huh? So, with the eventual plan to recover it (it had a heat shield and attached mk2 capsule, drogues and chutes, I had to bring it bak to recover the science hehehe ...
  12. I've had the same opinion, Happy with 1.1.2 on my gaming rig, laptop almost as much due to its specs. It helps that I don't spend time int he hangar, but the VAB
  13. Zero issues with 1.1.2 on my gaming rig, fully stock. I haven't tried planes, more into rockets, but I've found it to be great so far. Laptop, well, being less than what might be needed to run it with all the fun graphics, yes it has crashed a few times. And it has been at staging as well. Update: Strike that, I have one issue on my game rig - I killed a keostationary sat contract, but its orbit and ground station persist in my tracking map ...

  16. No, maybe not. They might fool with us and go straight to 1.1.7 1.1.1 working nicely on my win 10 power rig, I play stock. As to my pitiful laptop though, I cant say the same, but it's the laptop's specs most likely ...

Ch ch ch ch ch ch changes (I miss David Bowie) I also don't want to sound harsh (you didn't), I already was on the no sale thread, but just because it worked in 1.1, and now doesn't in 1.1.1 means it wasn't you or your design, but changes made for any number of variables in the patch, and now you might have to: make a bug report or make changes to your design to cope with said changes in physics, atmospherics, who really knows except squad? Reminds me once of a student, finally mastered hovering the helicopter, then the next day I took him up in it with some wind ...
  18. Perms in windows, there is a thread somewhere that discusses this. I place my install (KSP_Win) on my desktop (supposedly not to do that either, but... it works) The recommended install is to make that folder on your root of a drive, ex. C:\KSP_win and you can make a shortcut to the launcher. If it's working in documents and you don't mind it there organizational wise, you could leave it ...

  20. Based upon empirical evidence, I doubt that occurring ... <harsh> I don't think anyone here needs to justify the program to this person. This thread was started for the wrong reasons - it could have simply been an email to Squad or to Steam dependent on where purchased and that be that. The OP needs to have an understanding on software purchases in general, plain and simple. If you disagree, you're entitled, however the thread seems pointless - you have formulated your opinion which you tossed out here and the only purpose I can see from it is to stir up the collective pot. It's like someone who buys a smartphone, then goes on a BB for that unit to say they hate it and asks other members who have the same one to convince them to keep it. The community is here to assist you but not to respond to justify a purchase. If you don't like it, then return it, otherwise you are in the same boat as the rest of us who may or may not be having issues with it at this time. </harsh> Moving on to 1.1.1, which is just terrific on my gaming rig, less so on my laptop (which is expected considering it's specs)

  22. After you change the resize UI feature, make sure to close KSP and restart it for the changes to take effect. For my screen anyway, 80% works out, I can deal with the other smaller text until Squad readdressed scaling in the future.
  23. Zero issues with 10 and KSP, and that includes the latest build, you guys are going to like the changes to action center, notifications, the start menu and more ...
