  1. I didn't really care for CKAN honestly. I'd be greatful if you could set that up, let me know of I need to do anything in order to make it work. @Jamesstewart97 Yes, though I'm waiting for an official word by SpaceX on how they will actually do it. They mentioned sonething with parachutes/paraglider and automatic, but I'd rather get it done properly on the first try, so I'll still be waiting a while until they release mpre information about it.
  2. Yeah, that's exactly it. Oh, I have to see about the ISRO lifters, need to see how much work they'd need. But please feel free to release yours! The way I work on my rockets is that I first model everything, and then I unwrap one part, texture it, put it in game and verify that it's working as it is supposed to (I do the real balancing later), then go back to my big blender file with the complete rocket, and work on the next part, and so on, so that I complete every part in once. This also allows me to first test each individual part, then test a couple of parts together which are already in game and then finally test the complete stack together, which makes it pretty much impossible for bugs or any problems with the textures/models to be in the release version. Also, this is much more "interesting" to do than just doing all parts per phase, by first texturing them all, then setting them all up etc. I don't know how you do it, but I found it quite a nice system. ^^
  3. Yeah, it's...well, you improve over time, and when you then look at these old, ugly models, you think - wow, how could people like *that*!? Thanks man! Yep, F9 FT is going to be remade again too, I am not that happy with it heh. Yeah, you got 16 rockets sitting on your desk? Man, can't wait for all of those to see the daylight! Based on the extreme good quality of the above images of the various Centaur stages, I am expecting only the best. Though I have to admit, I also got quite a bunch of rockets on my machine too, all unfinished models - from GLSV / PLSV over H-II and some early Thor/Delta versios to early Ariane versions. Some of them could need a revamp, but well..time is the limiting factor here, same as you! ^-^ Can't wait to see more of your work!
  4. Sounds great, good decision! Yeah, just make it right on the first try. I'm working on the Delta II now for the 4th time. Can't wait for your progress updates.
  5. Still sitting on my desk, still not very far progressed. ULA pack is simply taking all of my time in which I could continue working on this. I'm sorry, but I really want to make everything as best as I can! But yes, just to announce, I of course want to finish both Dragon and Dragon V2, and once these are released, I will redo the Falcon 9 Full Thrust, since there *are* quite some visual changes I couldn't know off when I made my FT, so I will redo that from the ground, this time also with some nice HD textures and more detailed models. Also, I will work on the early Atlas rockets, the Atlas II is pretty much done already model-wise, it's just waiting to be UV unwrapped and textured. I'm really sorry that this all is taking soooo long! Though, on a positive note, here's the first stage (without engines yet) of the Delta II rocket for the upcoming ULA mod! Textures are pretty high res, 4k for the main texture and 8k for the normal map, I will decrease this of course more or less for KSP hehe, but I don't want the logos to be pixelated, so I had to choose a higher res from the beginning for the main texture. I hope you like it! I really spend quite a bit of time fine tuning that texture.
  6. Oh, it was because I didn't install Community Resource Pack. I'm an idiot, sorry, I thought I'd know better! Thank you for this great addon!
  7. Is anyone running into issues with kerbals dying because they don't get oxygen? I have an extra oxygen tank on my spacecraft, but can't rightclick it or something to see how much units of oxygen are in there. Anyone knows what's going on?
  8. They'd quickly see by telemetry what happened and if it was the engine though. Though let's not talk further about about worst-case scenarios. I think it's an engine reuse. No other reason really why they should mark that engine, but yeah, as you said, it still doesn't make sense why they then would add those stripes on the engine, they surely wouldn't forget which engine was the already used one. Maybe we'll hear something about that in the livestream.
  9. Just to show that we *are* doing progress on the ULA mod, here's my Delta II upper stage https://sketchfab.com/models/4976409463594cfb83acdd1cfed174de
  10. Dude, put that in a spoiler. PLEASE. It takes hours to scroll down all the way to the bottom of it to read a new post.
  11. You can download previous versions from Spacedock (at last you could do that on kerbalstuff didn't test that with spacedock yet). Go to changelog and then click download.
  12. Yes, I noticed that too. It's like it was landing on ice or something. I don't understand what's going on, since I didn't change anything leg-property related in the cfg in the new version, maybe it has something to do with the Unity 5 upgrade / the new KSP version. Coming along slowly, full focus on ULA mod project.
  13. Gut morning from germany folks! T-45min and still counting!
  14. Yes, Z is up-down in blender, the vertical axis.
  15. I btw also have the SpaceX rockets in my mod:
  16. Here's my 5th SpaceX Mission Overview video, this time of JCSAT 14: The landing was completely kOS controlled, I am currently trying to write a program doing a fully autonomous boostback, reentry and landing, here you can see it in action, performing pretty much flawless! Hope you like it!
  17. SpaceX Pack V.2.3b released! Sorry for the quick and tiny patch, but we finally got to see an image of the JCSAT 14 payload fairing, so I had to redo mine. This was probably one of the most annoying fairing textures ever to do, since there were only small images available, not like with other satellite launches, but ok. Download from Spacedock
  18. How exactly? You mean the Delta renders I posted above? They are both fully done, I just didn't render them, for simplification.
  19. Omygosh, come on, just say that it's a KSP rocket put on an image from the ISS!
  20. Hey, I know that I included a config for 64k for the SpaceX pack. I guess the pack should do ok in rss/smurff, both Atlas and SpaceX, but I guess you should just try it out and report how it is ok?
  21. Thanks guys @nli2work and @NecroBones! That really cleared things up! I'll experiment a bit with it now.
  22. I'm redoing them because they were old, bad rubbish and primitive. I had planned to redo them anyway, and it was pretty much the perfect time for it now. No triston! ULA said that they would like to have a KSP mod which adds their launch vehicles into the game and such. This and the fact that Tory Bruno was at the Kerbal Space Academy stream, and so it was a great idea to have a mod like this, so they reached out to us and said if we would do it. Basically. They gave us some information on what they expect, and let us do our thing. Now we got the models, and they were totally overwhelmed by them, they didn't expect something great looking like this and EJ's stuff, and that's what I wanted. I of course could have just used the old models, but I thought (still think) they wouldn't really be appopriate for an offical mod. You can - they explicitly said that they have no idea on how to something like this for KSP, and so we were / are the "experts", we are the ones doing the things ULA wants us to do. They said that they would like to have an offical mod because they often see people on twitter, youtube etc "doing their missions", but they'd love if the players had a chance to actually do that with their "real" launch vehicles. Maybe this clears things up a bit.
  23. Hey, I can't really follow you there. I don't have any problems with fairing seperation...? Yes, the new stuff will all be released in the ULA mod (Delta II, Delta IV, Atlas V, Vulcan). Yep, right now, (my) Atlas V and the Falcon's are the only 1.1 compatible launchers. Here are two renders of Delta II and IV BTW. Wow that's awesome Cheesecake!
