1.1.2 Magic Smoke Industries Infernal Robotics 2.0.2
Maelstrom Vortex replied to sirkut's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Getting parts but no interface and have tried all the steps above. Not crashing because I've removed the active struts folder and struts folders as instructed, what am I missing? I get no interface for infernal robotics when either right clicking the parts or on the toolbars. -
One suggested improvement for this. Replace the beams holding the main shaft with a hollow mark 1 structural body. It'll be so much smoother when it turns.

Invented this remarkably amazing craft: With 3000+ delta V in Mun-space. It serves multiple roles. It can act as an unmanned tug for space stations.. and make multiple trips around Mun and to orbit of mun. I haven't even tried Minmus yet, but it's the ultimate in lunar exploration vehicles with a capacity to carry a kerbal on board. I'm currently working on building a mining rig based on its design. Available: https://kerbalx.com/Maelstrom_Vortex/1A-Mun-Hopper-Plus-XTRM Suggested improvements you may want to consider include binding the 4 external engines to their own on/off action group toggle. With an extraordinarily low rocket part cost I was able to assemble and fuel it in orbit of Mun at an orbital dock yard using Extra-planetary Launchpads. It is currently my primary lunar operations vehicle for my engineers. Low cost and able to do sooooo much.

[1.12.x] Near Future Technologies (September 6)
Maelstrom Vortex replied to Nertea's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Sorry to hear you are burned out. Fortunately, I do have a means of repair for my stations using KAS that's relatively simple, Just ditch the broken part, scrap it and attach a new one, will have to work around those sail models for my drones though, but they certainly are beautiful. -
[1.12.x] Near Future Technologies (September 6)
Maelstrom Vortex replied to Nertea's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
@Nertea Broken solar panel breaks.. but doesn't.. collider remains and can even move or cause impacts with other craft. Major correction needed: Model is OKEB 78, have not checked other sails yet to see how they perform when broken. Also, cannot be repaired. Not sure if the repair part is WAD. -
Will this help any with game crashes by memory leak? I consistently get crashes after 3-4 hours of game play.

Those are Nertea's massive solar panels from I think Near Future Solar or Electric. -

@FreeThinker Check this monster out that I made today: -
Orbited a Monstrosity of a Refueling station that can refuel almost everything.

KSP Interstellar Extended Support Thread
Maelstrom Vortex replied to FreeThinker's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
@FreeThinker Don't know if you can make this happen or not, but I have an idea for a new part.. a very critical part. Can you create a relatively universal graphene nosecone/radiator? I'm using the graphene body panels to make a nose cap, but it doesn't cover well so I end up having to use 4 panels to make the cap. Basically the nosecone would fit into it sort of like a finger tip into a glove. I know each nose can be different so I think the hardest part of this would be modeling it to be able to fit as many craft as plausible. I thought it might work like one of those customizable adapters I've seen in one mod where the end comes to a vertex point but the open end is able to be adjusted in diameter while the center is hollow. -
Sorry @Nertea I needed to know if they had merged before I went to CKAN because if there was just another floating file out there I'd just go grab it as I did with the engines since CKAN's not grabbing it right. I figured it out though, engines are working marvelously and the tanks are all in one download now with the engines.. CKAN's just got its links confused and it sounds like blowfish is already on it. I was always under the impression that Cryo Engines and Cryo tanks were two separate downloads, but that apparently never was the case and CKAN has always had the engine/tank think messed up or the case has changed in the last update. You see, unfortunately, I could not figure out whether or not I was doing something wrong and missed something or if the ckan program is wrong so I have to ask the source to validate which case was correct. It didn't specify in the OP that the tanks were part of the engine pack though it did mention them. I do know CKAN is not supported, but that doesn't tell me whether there was one file or two, or another cryo tanks thread I could not locate, but experimenting helped me figure that out.

CKAN suddenly won't download faster than 100 kbps, very odd. Trying to yank a few megs of data is taking forever. Just got this error: See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box. ************** Exception Text ************** System.TimeoutException: [1.12.x] Near Future Technologies (September 6)
Maelstrom Vortex replied to Nertea's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
In the case of the utility cabin, copying the game data file from the prior version of NFT and including it as its own separate game data folder also works without breaking the game. This seems to be one of the 1.29 parts that was compatible with 1.3, or at least, I've not had an issue with it yet. -
Tail hook landing a behemoth space plane: Landing a behemoth space plane/ssto/lab by tail hook on the Mun. You can barely see it, but there's a landing strut on the back of the engine to force the craft to pivot forward from a slow vertical descent. Is it me or did the Utility Cabin go missing? -
It is the plane that never lands.. or least doesn't have to for several hundred years.Primary NFT usage on this is in the electrical system, several capacitors for when it has to send boatloads of processed data home from the on board lab. Hybridized with stock and other mods, download here if you think you'd enjoy: https://kerbalx.com/Maelstrom_Vortex/Project-Phoenix-2-Final Recommended tweaks: Use non-tweakscaled large landing gear in replacement of its current gear, working on an upgrade to the design. Can visit literally every biome on kerbin in a single flight except the tiny ones at the space center.

Woohoo! Just in time for the weekend. Thank you man, cannot wait to try it out tonight! -
[1.12.x] Near Future Technologies (September 6)
Maelstrom Vortex replied to Nertea's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
That looks absolutely outstanding, I love it. I hope the 1.3 release includes electric. I just need those capacitors redone and I can resume my old career. I am just concerned looking at that cockpit that I may be having to land this baby from third person constantly because from first person it's going to have to be a landing by instruments with that view. -
Constant updates - modders still happy?
