Well what I was going on about was based on what was written up to this point. Given that you never said you make a habit of deleting indivual parts and so forth, your posts sounds much like someone who goes around moving and or deleting stuff when they don't really know what they are doing. Up until this post everything you were talking about alluded to the standard "I installed the mod wrong" type of situation. As I've told my wife of 22 years, I still can't read her mind so I can only go off what she says... That being said, yes I generally delete most of the EL parts, yet have never had the issues you are talking about if I want to reinstall them.

Kerbal Stuff, an open-source Space Port replacement

I had said my peace and moved on for a couple pages, until Ixenso brought it back up. -
Kerbal Stuff, an open-source Space Port replacement
goldenpsp replied to SirCmpwn's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
Oh the one where he cried about not getting the love? and in the same post said he guessed he would upgrade the hosting when he had time? Doesn't change the fact that he made a D1ck move at the end. Might as well. Let the new site people start a fresh thread. -

I've never had an issue with ads. Especially if they address the "I can't afford to keep this running" issue. -
Kerbal Stuff, an open-source Space Port replacement

Well that is where we will differ. He is absolutely to blame. He had the control. He could have passed this along gracefully. He could have even put up a warning ahead of time. (hey here is my decision, I'm warning everyone as my hosting will expire in 2 weeks). Instead he decided to go out the rudest way possible. And in doing so he undermined years of good will in one act. I'm glad someone is rebuilding. I hope they have a way of restoring all the history etc. And I hope they setup a patreon to keep it funded. -
For all good things Roverdude, it is best to bookmark his Github page https://github.com/BobPalmer?tab=repositories

Kerbal Stuff, an open-source Space Port replacement
goldenpsp replied to SirCmpwn's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
It is valid to have both feelings. I am incredibly impressed at the amount of time and money he put into running Kerbalstuff.com. Much the way I am impressed with all modders in the KSP modding community. It is perfectly valid for SirCmpwn to say enough, take his ball and go home, again much like any modder. At the same time, it is frustrating that no outward attempt was made to pass along the torch to someone willing to keep things going. Many times a modder, when they get tired, or stop playing KSP, or life gets busy, will find someone else to continue the mod for the better of the community. Yes he was not obliged to build and maintain kerbalstuff.com. But in doing so he created something that the community loved and relied on. He could have: 1. Stated he's done, but made a call to the community to find if anyone was willing to carry on the project so it wouldn't just die abruptly. Or at least help fund the project so he could keep it running. 2. Take his ball and go home. He chose the latter, which is sad. -

Would have been nice if a call had gone out for the torch to be passed to someone willing to take over the website rather than the "take my ball and go home" shut down. -
parts [1.2] Karibou Expedition Rover [0.3.0]
goldenpsp replied to RoverDude's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Just bookmark Roverdude's Github page. That isn't going anywhere. -
Changing vessels resets Hab timers as well. I would highly recommend a Minmus dry run (since minmus takes a tiny bit longer than the Mun) so you can see the effects of Habitation timers and changing ships etc. And yes you may want to plan at least a small base so they can wait out their time until the return window, depending on how long that may be.

Well then you could almost make it with just the setup I tested. Not a huge ship. Keep in mind your hab timer doesn't have to be the ENTIRE mission time. The Kerbals will get happier once you reach Duna and they can go down to the surface and setup a nice base to live in.

Depends, How many Kerbals are you trying to send (keep in mind Roverdude has always talked about overstuffing). 1 Mk1-2 Capsule with 3 kerbals, 1 hitchicker, 1 2.5 supply container, and 1 science lab with recycler turned on yields 308 days of supplies, and 215 days of habitation. Honestly this is one area where I find it worthwhile to bite the bullet and go with full MKS. Some excellent parts to bump up habitation for your interplanetary flights.

I would think a more appropriate place would be for Nertea to have a USI-LS MM config if he wanted his parts to support USI-LS, since he is in control of his parts.

parts [1.2] Karibou Expedition Rover [0.3.0]
goldenpsp replied to RoverDude's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Ive had it pretty pronounced as well. enough that I've had a karibou jiggle walk itself right outside of rover logistics range. Even with only the kab and back legs down. -

goldenpsp replied to RoverDude's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Here is a quickie crappy video.(I really need to get off my rear and load up some better software for recording) it is subtle in this example but it is similar to what I've seen with only a karibou legs and maybe a set of legs in the back. when you put them down you can see all the parts kinda jiggling around. -

Well I haven't had it shake a craft apart. I usually just keep the wheels down unless im on a slope and can't stop sliding. -

goldenpsp replied to RoverDude's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I have only noticed with the karibou cab honestly. Maybe something with its 4 legs? I always figured it was oddities with landing legs. I generally try to use the minimum number of legs necessary. Yes. But pretty much just the karibou cab -

Not exactly. there is some occasional weirdness with the karibou legs at any physics warp. -

That all sounds scary. if you are installing mods correctly you really shouldn't ever need to go searching for individual files and doing all the manual cleaning up you are going on about.

Ive had shaking before, mostly having to due with the legs on the command module. I don't really know other than maybe there is a slight height discrepancy on the leg colliders. -
[1.0.5] TAC Life Support v0.11.2.1 [12Dec]
goldenpsp replied to TaranisElsu's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
It looks like you downloaded the github repository, but not the release for modulemanager. You should just have a modulemanager DLL file in your gamedata folder. Notice the DLL in my gamedata folder (old picture) -
parts [1.2] Karibou Expedition Rover [0.3.0]
goldenpsp replied to RoverDude's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
It's a known issue right now that RPM is creating a decent amount of lag with the Karibou command pod. In my brief testing you get some performance boosts from either removing RPM (obviously) or by toggling off the transparent pod in the right click menu. For now when I need the performance I turn off the transparency. -

Sounds like that would be an EPL issue then. There are no USI-LS or EPL configs in the Karibou pack so any EPL requirements are coming from that mod not this one.
