[Min KSP: 1.12.2] Pathfinder - Space Camping & Geoscience
goldenpsp replied to Angelo Kerman's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
It's the nature of KSP. Has nothing to do with KIS, other than we don't really have the ability to drop items on the ground without KIS. Bottom line is never just drop anything on the ground.- 3,523 replies

That's not what we were talking about however. I'm all for having to design a long term "base" with amenities to keep the kerbals happy. The potential issue (from the post with the ideas) is that I don't want to have to manually move kerbals to these facililites. It would be good enough IMO if the kerbals moving around to "watch a movie" was automatic.

My only concern is having mechanics that require me to manually move kerbals around within a craft (or base etc). If you start having missions all over the place, the act of having to manually move kerbals around gets tedious. I think it would be fair to say if you have a craft that has sufficient living quarters, your kerbals are able to move around "automatically" to keep their homesickness down.

[1.1.2] Kerbal Inventory System (KIS) 1.2.12
goldenpsp replied to KospY's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
A couple issues. First the downloaded file needs to be unzipped. Then the contents copied into your KSP gamedata folder. It should look something like this (notice the KIS folder). -
[1.1.2] Kerbal Inventory System (KIS) 1.2.12
goldenpsp replied to KospY's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Command inventory adds real inventory space to a capsule. The individual seat inventories do not change. If you want to put something into an empty capsule you would put it into the once called "inventory" not "seat X inventory" If your picture doesn't looke like this, you did something wrong. Likely missing modulemanager if I had to guess Upload the picture to some service. I prefer imgur as it is free, works really well (I use the windows snipping tool to get a SS, and then you can literally copy to the clipboard and paste into imgur). Then paste the code. Imgur will even give you all the ones you might need. I use the "BBCode" for forums -

Yes. Post a screenshot of your game data folder for starters. -
[1.1.2] Kerbal Inventory System (KIS) 1.2.12
goldenpsp replied to KospY's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
It has. Seat inventory is not "inventory" like other forms of KIS inventory. It only exists to give items to a Kerbal sitting in that seat. This is because you cannot actually pick a Kerbal's inventory from the VAB. So yes if you try to load an empty seat you will end up with nothing. This is not a bug but by design. -
More like Roverdude is very busy working on many mods and probably could use an admin assistant to keep all of the other bits up to date (forum titles, OP details etc).

So I figured I would put this here since it has to do with modded parts, even though I'm having an issue with the stock contracts. Simply put, is there any way for the contracts configuration to restrict pods to stock pods only? Namely I have had issues concerning rescue missions where the mission is to rescue both the kerbal and the pod they are in. With additional mods the choices of pods is expanded and some that are considered a "pod" are not really appropriate to the contract.

It is not by default anymore.

IIRC the config has been added, but the full feature of homesickness hasn't been implemented yet.

[1.1.2] Kerbal Inventory System (KIS) 1.2.12

I'm sure Google knows -
[1.1.2] Kerbal Attachment System (KAS) 0.5.8
goldenpsp replied to KospY's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Maybe download the optional parts on the KAS download page. -
It only works with Blizzy's toolbar. With it you can have an icon in the VAB to toggle it off. Annoying I know but Taniwha has generally been opposed to adding support for the stock toolbar.

You could do something useful and log this as a github issue so Roverdude doesn't forget about it.

parts [1.2] USI Survivability Pack (Formerly DERP) [v0.6.0]
goldenpsp replied to RoverDude's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Should also be in the full MKS -
To elaborate, in terms of MKS modules is there is a crowding factor. So while you "could" fill all of those spots in inflatable modules, you will end up with an overcrowded situation and your MKS module functions will lose efficiency, in some cases a lot.

Yes Rover made a snack oven for MKS. He even makes converters for TAC-LS. But I don't see where you would run Snacks AND USI-LS at the same time. They act completely differently and while they wouldn't "conflict" per se you are gonna have severely confused kerbals trying to deal with 2 varieties of "food". Similarily if you tried to run USI-LS and TAC-LS you technically can, but they are gonna bump into each other in usage.

But Soylent doesn't really look to be a Life support mod and more of an addon to TACLS. From your OP It is only cosmetic standalone, or extends TACLS.

Ok stupid question. This IS a life support system. Why would you ever try to use 2 different life support systems? Short answer is no, I don't know of ANY life support mods that work with any other life support mods.

It is a hatch. Pretty sure you don't want to block the hatch. Fire code violations and all.

[1.1.2] Kerbal Inventory System (KIS) 1.2.12
goldenpsp replied to KospY's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Correct me if I am forgetting, but hasn't the entire issue not been KIS itself but putting things into your inventory temporarily? And that is done due to all the kis manipulation making parts fly around? If so you would likely be able to simply attach a dockingport to the part you are trying to rescue without it flying off and then just dock it, negating the need to shove it into inventory (honestly shoving a pod in inventory is somewhat silly due to size anyhow).
