  1. I didnt either. At one point I decided to take a little time and did some pull requests for some USI mods. 1. It helps out Roverdude 2. It was fun to learn how to do. 3. It felt very cool to have a piece of your own work (however small) be a part of these cool mods. If you have any interest feel free to reach out and I'd be happy to help.
  2. 1. Slap on some TAC supply containers 2. Make an MM patch to add TAC resources to karibou parts. 3. Wait for someone to do a PR for TAC configs
  3. The only thing I would be wary of is comparing to FTT tanks. We've known since 1.0 came out that much of FTT needs a refresh/rebalance.
  4. Where are you testing? Homeworld altitude is the alt which under the kerbals don't use any life support on Kerbin. If you want to test you need to get off Kerbin. Lets you use the recycler modules, which can extend Life support by using less life support per second. Set Nohome to something other than 0 to enable the habitation stuff.
  5. Some specifics might help. The settings file is extremely well commented. According to your file above you have lethality turned on, Habitation turned off (probably why hab says indefinite). The only issue I see is you have supplies set to 1/sec, which means each kerbal is going to consume 21,600 supplies per day, which is a lot. What specifically are you not clear on?
  6. Recyclers reduced supply consumption
  7. yea Nvm I looked at an old version cfg and it was there in the past. My memory isn't perfect.
  8. I don't recall them ever having a liquid fuel only option ever
  9. Which can also be explained by reading the OP on the KAS thread, namely: Since KAS v0.5.4, KIS is no more mandatory (only highly recommended). However by using KAS without KIS, take note that you will not be able to : Attach/detach connectors from EVA Store hooks in containers Mount hooks on winches from EVA Attach hooks from EVA Attach ground pylon on the ground To get all this features, You need to install KIS. You can download it here.
  10. KAS needs KIS in fact. By the way reading a mod threads OP can often help answer these and many other questions. in this case the section "Mods using KIS" with KAS as the first entry.
  11. Yea the important part at the moment is to not rely on CKAN. It is not reliable especially in terms of Roverdudes USI mods at the moment.
  12. Are you using other USI mods, like MKS or MKS-L? if so did you verify the settings for USI-LS in those mods? they may be overriding the USI-LS defaults.
  13. For me it seemed about a 5-10 fps drop with the windows transparent. I was ~40 with opaque and ~32 with transparent with a craft i just tested on the mun.
  14. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/topic/105202-105-usi-life-support-036-bug-fix-update/&do=findComment&comment=2360975
  15. yep 16 per day. across the board.
  16. Do you have rasterprop monitor installed? it seems to be causing a good bit of lag at the moment.
  17. Sorry misunderstood with the new crafts thing.
  18. I can confirm I am seeing the same thing, both with stock USI-LS recyclers (science lab) and MKS modules @sh1pman. One thought. I noticed from the MKS thread that you are also running the SETI Rebalance mod. I haven't kept up on that in a long time but it has had a history of tweaking USI mod settings, so I would be wary of it causing some odd interaction with USI-LS and MKS, especially if you seem to be seeing the opposite kinds of issues that Roverdude is. (it was bad enough that at one point Roverdude stopped supporting things as soon as SETI was mentioned).
  19. That is pretty much it. You can use multiple stakes for fancier setups, but I personally haven't ever bothered.
  20. Rover has explained already, "replacement parts" are a "hidden" resource, in that they exist but don't show as a resource on any resource panel. This was specifically done as the resource list was already getting long and this one didn't need to be shown in order to work. Just go to your parts and "perform maintenance" to refill them.
  21. With just USI-LS? no. The only way to make USI-LS self sustaining is through the creation of food, with say MKS by mining raw materials needed to produce food.
  22. On the first I haven't played enough with the new system to know why you get the two different values. On the second picture I believe all you have turned on there are the recyclers, which lower food consumption but don't actually make more supplies. Who said USI-LS was easier? I never considered it easier, just different. With the latest changes it is definitely not easier than TAC-LS.
