[1.1.2] Kerbal Inventory System (KIS) 1.2.12
goldenpsp replied to KospY's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
They don't work. Use the Strut connectors from the associated KAS mod. -
[1.1.2] Kerbal Attachment System (KAS) 0.5.8
goldenpsp replied to KospY's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
A couple things. First your question should be in the KIS thread, as it is the mod that handles all of the attaching/detaching. KAS these days is just a parts pack. As for KIS I would recommend reading the excellent manual Kospy made https://github.com/KospY/KIS/wiki Namely page 9 "Wrenches can't attach part using node snapping" -
Same as every mod. Download, unzip, copy into your KSP "gamedata" folder. Make sure not to nest folders, ie KSP\Gamedata\Gamedata.

I would concur with this. I love the concept of tweakscale but it has caused me so many issues over time that I have stopped using it.
-
Well to be fair, regardless of the outcome it is essentially the same challenge to not let the kerbals run out of life support. In reality I have never lost a crew with any of the LS mods. But at some point if the worst were to happen I still find it more challenging to have to go rescue them. What I'm meaning is if you hit that point where the crew is lost (problems occurred, no way to ship emergency supplies in time), if they were set to die then oops nothing left to do. If they are set to revolt I can still plan a mission to rescue them. That being said both options are there so all good. I just disagree that setting them to death is somehow a greater challenge than the other. They are just different.

[1.1.2] Kerbal Inventory System (KIS) 1.2.12
goldenpsp replied to KospY's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Sorry I disagree. It is one thing to have a rescue mission where the challenges and limitations, if any are self imposed. It is entirely different to accept a rescue CONTRACT, where you now have to follow the rules of that contract. -
[1.1.2] Kerbal Inventory System (KIS) 1.2.12

Capture with Claw and use transfer crew? I know it works normally. I would think it would work for a rescue contract as well. I've certainly used it for rescue missions. -
[1.1.2] Kerbal Inventory System (KIS) 1.2.12
goldenpsp replied to KospY's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Maybe I'm not understanding, but I don't see the issue. If the contract is to rescue the kerbal and cockpit, then being able to put it in inventory, or KIS connect it a different way seems an easy way to exploit the contract challenge. -
Ya know, honestly I find no death more challenging. If my crew dies, meh, hire new ones and move on. But if they become stranded, now I have to plan a whole rescue mission.

parts [1.2] USI Survivability Pack (Formerly DERP) [v0.6.0]
goldenpsp replied to RoverDude's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I'm guessing Roverdude doesn't consider pull requests pestering. -
[1.12.x] Alcubierre Warp Drive (Stand-alone)
goldenpsp replied to RoverDude's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
If you are gonna be lazy at least be consistent. In the time it took to make this post you could have been halfway done with a github account. -
[1.12.x] Freight Transport Technologies [v0.6.0]
goldenpsp replied to RoverDude's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I could spin that back to say that while the parts in a KIS container are not generally as dense for their volume, they are generally items that are far more fragile than say, a kontainer of fertilizer. Items that you don't want broken in shipping so you can assemble at the other end. Those items need a strong kontainer to protect them from rough landings. -
There's a mod for that.

Double inventory sounds suspect... -
[1.1.2] Kerbal Inventory System (KIS) 1.2.12
goldenpsp replied to KospY's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
KIS takes into account the weight of what is in your backpack. I have not had any issues using a jetpack along with KIS installed unless I was trying to carry lots of KIS items in my backpack that weighed me down. -
It doesn't help. But those silly kerbals do crazy stuff when under stress.

goldenpsp replied to RoverDude's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Hmm never thought of that. The ASET IVA is amazing. -

goldenpsp replied to RoverDude's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I haven't recently but I have used the ASET command pod in the past and it was fine. -
[1.12.x] Freight Transport Technologies [v0.6.0]
goldenpsp replied to RoverDude's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
i thought atm was largely obsolete with the more optimized textures these days. -
[1.12.x] Freight Transport Technologies [v0.6.0]
goldenpsp replied to RoverDude's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Except we will say install error or mod conflict because the textures load fine (at least for me). Everything in that file specifies "not Found!" for the textures so something isn't right with your install. standard gamedata folder screenshots/modlist etc would help. -

Fuel switch. There is more to Firespitter than propellers. -
Yes he does. I had gone searching for some of those drops on duna but it doesn't look like your old streams go back that far.

Look, ya know, its a lot easier to just ask the question rather than try to be slick/cool about it. If I actually understand what you are asking you could like ya know check the settings.cfg. Namely the CausesDeath = false

Pretty much whatever you want. The Kontainers are designed to take a beating. Here is a lander for getting some supplies down from orbit.
