parts [1.2] Karibou Expedition Rover [0.3.0]
goldenpsp replied to RoverDude's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
The parts show up in their own category on the left side of the VAB. Otherwise post a screenshot of your gamedata and umbraspaceindustries folders. -
[1.1.2] Kerbal Attachment System (KAS) 0.5.8
goldenpsp replied to KospY's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
You guys should really be putting this stuff in the KIS thread, as it is what handles all of the actual attaching etc. -
Which is completely unfair when replying to a lifesupport only thread, as each LS mod works equally well as a standalone mod. There was a time that TAC-LS was pretty much our only LS option for MKS, yet you aren't holding TAC-LS to the same standard.

[1.1.2] Kerbal Attachment System (KAS) 0.5.8
goldenpsp replied to KospY's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
That video is likely no longer valid. That was before KIS came out and KAS became basically just a parts pack. There were a number of KAS parts that were also depricated when KIS came out. -
parts [1.2] Karibou Expedition Rover [0.3.0]
goldenpsp replied to RoverDude's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Honestly it is kind of pointless now. The mini Rover in MKS only exists to handle the wireless logistics of the MKS mod. As of now the Karibou command module also can perform this role. So if you have a karibou at your base you don't even need the MKS mini rover. -
parts [1.2] Karibou Expedition Rover [0.3.0]
goldenpsp replied to RoverDude's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
It is a conflict. The mod in question is CKAN. Install manually. -
i'm trying to figure out the relevance of your argument. MKS is not a life support mod. And just like TAC-LS, USI-LS does not have any built in IRSU resource gathering capability to create food. So the fact that MKS has resource gathering (that works with both life support mods) is really no reason to argue for or against either life support mod. With the recent additions to habitation and kerbal happiness (not wanting to be cramped inside a capsule for years) I would personally give USI-LS the edge in terms of a more realistic feeling gameplay.
-
Alternatively, depending on how you feel about fixing up your save game you can use hyperedit. I have done this before. Where you can (like landed craft) EVA kerbals. Install USi-LS. Upgrade crafts and either Hyperedit land them and destroy the originals. For ships in flight hyperedit so it is right behind the original, eva kerbals over, destroy originals. For some situations you might need to hyperedit a kerbal in a craft to EVA attach a food container on a ship to get kerbals to go from tourists back to pilots, then just hyper edit him back to kerbin.

[1.12.x] Alcubierre Warp Drive (Stand-alone)
goldenpsp replied to RoverDude's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Let us know! -
I forget what the effects of MIA are. NVM I looked it up. I kinda like the tourist option better. Means I have to go rescue them.

This should really be in the MKS thread (wear and tear is part of MKS not USI-LS). Anyhow, have you tried the "perform maintenance" with material kits to repair? I would think that should work.

First off it helps to probably actually look at the parts and compare. They are completely different in both form and function.

Yea that's fine too. Looking forward to the new fun. I have a few rescue missions already (no MKS parts but ships that used to have enough food and now don't lol)

Yea I will have to go back and read more on the timers, I've forgotten the details of how timers are working and how they reset if at all. From a thinking about it from a mission perspective I could see it being reasonable if say they were down to 1 day in their short term happiness, by inflating the bouncy house for a few days, everyone can stretch their legs and then they would have the energy to delfate it again for a few days as they regained a little from the short term timer. But it may work like that I'll have to go back a few pages and read up again.

Just curious, now that I am finally playing with the new updates, how does habitation work with inflatables? I haven't quite been able to make heads or tails of it. For example if I have a karibou rover with an inflatable emergency hab, inflating the Hab will increase my Kerbal's habitation timer. But obviously I would want to deflate it in order to move. Does the act of deflating etc incur any penalty? Or say when deflated I would be beyond the normal habitation timer so deflating it temporarily would put the timer negative would I have immediate unhappy kerbals? Hope this makes sense, I am still early in playing around with it.

[1.12.x] Freight Transport Technologies [v0.6.0]
goldenpsp replied to RoverDude's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
You put the contents of the gamedata folder from the zip into your ksp gamedata folder as is. -
[1.12.x] Freight Transport Technologies [v0.6.0]
goldenpsp replied to RoverDude's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Likely installed wrong. Picture of your gamedata folder? If you have nested gamedata folders you did it wrong. ie ...\gamedata\gamedata -
Rover, I apologize but I think you misunderstood. I was only recommending a "fix" to I am a spaceman due to his specific circumstance. according to his post he launched a mission under the old version and as a result that mission has insufficient supplies. If he wanted to save his "save" one option would be to temporarily change the consumption down to the old levels, at least until he completes that mission or sends out more supplies. I was not clear but it was not my intent that it would be a permanent change.

Yea this is the forum. Go back maybe 5-10 pages and get caught up For your specific question, if you are using MKS it increases supply consumption a LOT. You can fix by editing the cfg file in MKS. USI-LS uses the most pessimistic setting if it sees multiple cfg files.

Since the game seems to only show kerbin time I would expect it is a kerbin month.
