You need the survey station to use with the stakes.

Finally - particular wanted news - announced for 1.1
goldenpsp replied to Anthlon's topic in KSP1 Discussion
You do realize it isn't an either or. The core KSP team is working on the U5 port, squashing bugs etc. They aren't going to bring on someone like Roverdude in to fix bugs. -
Eeloo of course!

hmm Let's see. It's a single player game. So I do whatever allows me to have fun while playing the game. So if that means its more fun to quick load due to a kraken, or some other bug, I reload. If its because my fingers were accidentally shifted over causing me to hit full throttle when I meant to hit cut throttle, I quick load. If I make a legit mistake and find it would be fun to overcome that challenge then I do so. But if you just came to be able to have everyone pat you on the back that you are still sufficiently awesome and hardcore then yea you are still plenty hardcore even if you reload to overcome a KSP bug.

[1.1.2] Kerbal Inventory System (KIS) 1.2.12
goldenpsp replied to KospY's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I don't think so, but this is a cute mod to go with KIS -
Hmm, that is what I thought. I just couldn't find the camera. I will look again.

So a quick silly question. I understand that this is more of a mod framework for other modders to use in their projects than an end user mod. But I loaded it anyhow just to get some of the cool benefits with the stock KSP capsules. I have seen mention of external camera views but I was unsure how to make that work with the stock mod and stock capsules. I didn't know if I just was not understanding how to make it work or that this is just something not implemented out of the box. Thanks

Sigh, I told you exactly where you could go for the details. I was on my phone at the time so I will spoon feed you now https://github.com/KospY/KIS/issues/41 -
[1.3.x] SETI, Unmanned before Manned [Patreon]
goldenpsp replied to Yemo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
It's likely just a mis-click. The whole design of sites like mediafire is to try and get you to click their links to install their junk. Why not use something like Kerbalstuff, which is free and not full of adware link crap?- 2,515 replies

I'll just put this here, as I'm sure Roverdude would show up here eventually. From his other thread -
[1.1.2] Kerbal Attachment System (KAS) 0.5.8
goldenpsp replied to KospY's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Fair enough. I would counter however with several things. First, with the exception of the KIS container shape difference, that rover is perfectly buildable with KIS. The only parts that worked with KAS prior to KIS were items that were specifically designed to be KAS-able. Part of this made things stupidly OP in terms of their ability to be carried on a kerbal's back. With KIS, everything is able to be manipulated, with the caveat that it's size and mass are more realistic. That being said it is very easy to create a config file override. So if you wanted to override some parts to make them carriable on a kerbals back without collision issues or override the weight issue you can. It's a catch-22. With old KAS you had to explicitly define parts that could be manipulated via KAS. With KIS you have to explicitly make overrides for parts that you might want to. In general I have found KIS to be far easier to work with. As an example I had a fuel tug that traveled between Minmus and LKO for refueling purposes. Stupidly I put solar panels that could not be retracted when aerobraking at kerbin. So I sent up some new panels to attach on EVA. With KIS I couldn't put the panels on the kerbals back. I was able to carry ALL FOUR in the kerbals inventory. This allowed me to replace all 4 panels in one trip rather than a lot more flying back and forth to grab each one individually. To each his own. Once getting used to it I have found KIS to be acceptable. -

[1.12.x] Freight Transport Technologies [v0.6.0]
goldenpsp replied to RoverDude's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
No idea. I've never used the hover function on the fans. I do all my tweaking with TCA -

Oh we know. You are good. -
[1.12.x] Freight Transport Technologies [v0.6.0]
goldenpsp replied to RoverDude's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
TCA is so win. I pretty much use it with the honeybadger VTOL engines. I rarely use the fans, although I haven't been to Duna or EVE yet. -
[1.12.x] Freight Transport Technologies [v0.6.0]
goldenpsp replied to RoverDude's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Well Rover hasn't really touched this mod since a quick 1.0 compatibility update. I'm sure the engines need a looksie with all the heat changes that have taken place. -

If it has a spinning blade, then it is dependent on Firespitter. -
