  1. So guys, I was thinking of trying this challenge again, but with a twist: Rate my insanity on a scale from 10 to 10.
  2. Problem report! The generator only allows extreme EVA on some planets. Also, no matter what planets you choose in the Grand Tour Shield, you cannot have your craft as extreme EVA.
  3. I finally figured out why Nieble's mountain looked so familiar: I tried to land on it in my Grand Tour. It was too steep for me, so bravo to you Cupcake! Also, it's a good thing the kerbals have got proton entanglement figured out so they didn't have to worry about radio delay.
  4. And now I can sleep. That was pretty amazing. I hope the story line gets really complex. (I noticed that you corrected the spelling error from the preview. )
  5. Less than two hours 'till! Are you not excited? (Yes, me being America means I'm staying up very late for this). (How late? Well, between 10PM and 3AM, depending on which time zone you thing I'm in.) (Actually, in a way, I'm getting it a few hours earlier that the rest of you.) (Aww, no morning people there to respond to me?)
  6. If there is one person who wants to keep it, I won't get rid of it. So it will be in the final release. The other mode would be linear mode, so here's a brief explaination: 1) Manuevers are arranged chronologically-ish from left to right. Planets need to be drawn multiple times. 2) Each horizontal row represents 1 craft. 3) Crafts move between rows during docking/undockings.
  7. Sorry for repost, but no one saw the original: Given that there has been little support for the flowchart style, 1) Should I phase it out? 2) Should I not put it in the generator? (Or do flowchart mode after release)

  9. Yup. That's what I have in mind. Working on it, along with Ezriilc!
  10. Yes, but you don't need a plus sign. The notation is simpler without it. And a triangle isn't necessary either. If you want to put extra information, just write words.
  11. I was not planning on marking Ap and Pe because it usually doesn't matter, but sometimes, it does. So there will be an optional orbital height marker on the generator (auto-abbreviated to a few digits). Docking and undocking: Why don't arrows work? Space relations: I thought everyone knew where the planets were. And craft position doesn't matter that much: you just need to know if things are in orbit and what SOI they're in. Also, I realize linear mode could show simultaneous maneuvers by parallel, so do that.
  12. A left-to-right format will be available. As for colors, they can be replaced by differential width.
  13. I'm not sure how these will look surrounded by arrows. They seem too realistic. But, the generator will have a texture pack system, so you could just import these if you really wanted to.
  14. Possibly. If yours are better than mine, I'll adopt hem. That was part of my plan. Yes, this notation is intended for complicated missions.
  15. I've actually changed my mind about "there and back" double arrows. They simplify things for short excursions. What if I told you I could get it simpler?
  16. Well, KerbalTek and I are already planning to make one, but you could join us when it comes time. As for the UI, I have a far different plan that will be simpler.
  17. That looks freaking amazing. This is exactly why I started this thread. The only reason against double arrows is determining what happened when. What it looks like happened: -Whole ship launches from Kerbin, gravity assists at Laythe. -Something disconnects, aerobrakes at Jool to get to Tylo, while rest of ship goes straight to Tylo -Something and rest of ship dock. -Thing undocks, goes to Vall, orbits, lands, takes off, orbits, returns to tylo, and docks -Thing undocks, goes to Laythe, orbits, lands, takes off, orbits, returns to tylo, and docks -Thing undocks, goes to Pol, orbits, lands, takes off, orbits, goes to Bop, orbits, lands, takes off, orbits, returns to tylo, and docks Past there, it just seems that either everything just stayed at Tylo or continued on an infinite loop. Did you draw an arrow backwards? Infinite looping is why we'll need to number our maneuvers/segments
  18. Well done, everyone! The KSP Forums have declared this as a "Hot Thread"!
  19. I meant that you could come from all sides or angles. The only thing wrong with "launches are always on the top and landings always on the bottom" is that that's one more thing you need to know about the notation system before you can read it.
  20. Lemme Guess: You stranded a bunch of people on Laythe. Why does Jool have a crosshair on it? While doing this without arrows for a simple mission like this is fine, it wold be very confusing for a Grand Tour. Also, just curves don't make sense for variable orientations. You need an arrowhead to show which direction you're going. Also, when you have a lot of arrows, you may need to reposition your planets to make it look neater.
