How early in the stock tech tree can you put a kerbal on the Mun?

In time past I'm sure there was a parts mod, ot mod that had parts, that included gangplanksor circular disks that could be raised platforms around the 2.5 metre crewed parts. Can someone point me at this please? Thank you. Peace.

As @JadeOfMaar suggested. I realise that Global Construction does this kind of but i was looking for a more adaptable solution. In the end I'll be providing the colony part, people will find some way of getting it to where they want. Currently i have it sitting at 350 tons... I hadn't thought of recycling the drone in. That's a less elegant solution... But if that was a case the it could be a way of getting the 'colonists' into the base from their 'taxis'. However it would also make EL a dependency along with MoarKerbals. Somethings for me to consider. Thanks, Peace.

I should look into simplex profile for Snacks as the air and consumables i use in kebalism would fit right in. I could take my simplex resources too ( three ores not one) to make it a mildly more interesting experience without all the kerbalism extras. Peace.

My suggestion is having the flight navball showup in IVA. I find the iva one too small and use my KER readouts for the other infos. Woukd this be possible? No worries if not. Peace.

So... i tried to create a self building base with what @JadeOfMaar referred to as a sacrificial EL drone. It was a single part with all resources needed for a build, it also had the disposable pad and the constructor drone modules. But it didn't disappear. I assume that this is because EL won't destroy the workshop part? @taniwha please may I receive some guidance, it would be appreciated! Peace.

Just a thought... I want to create a self building base. My thought was to land (by sky crane?) a single part. It contained everything needed to build a base with no kerbals. The catch is that the part is an ELDisposablePad. Would it be able to complete the build? Has anyone tried this? Peace.

I'm home, couldn't sleep. Got up and got it working. I love it. This is really great. Turning off the UI and the camera in the game would be great too for a future update, possibly with the toggle being in the launch box in the game - if you plan to do this, having the camera name removed and the x toggle and enable streaming would be helpful - could they be moved to the Of Course I Still Love you launcher window? Finally, does the desktop client running on a different PC require the .NET plugin? I'm wary of installing anything on my work laptop. Peace.

I have a question... if you have parts... say engines.... in an stock inventory that is recovered, do those inventory parts then get added into the general kct onventory ro make construction time less (scrapyard needed perhaps?). Just wondering if parts could be 3d printed using say Sandcastle and then recovered, would they be available for construction if they weren't welded to a craft before recovery.
