  1. The Apollo CSM will be 2.5 meter, not 3.75.
  2. yeah. Mod makers usually don't upload something if it's bugged to hell and back. If they do upload something like that, there's a label called "BETA" and they say "uploaded." I see you're relatively new here, so I'll let this slip. Now enjoy the Saturn V. I demand it!
  3. No, unless the engine blows off it's nozzle when in vacuum, which no one does.
  4. wait what? I suspect you have not been around on the forum much since the release of .23.5. I'll summarize for you: The size of the nodes determines how strong the joints will be. There are 4 sizes: 0, 1, 2, 3. 3 is best option for 3.75 and 5 meter parts. Winged spiders are a nightmare's nightmare.
  5. Now we're cooking. (not a bug report) Remember to set the nodes on these large parts to size 3, but otherwise a smooth ride with just the mk 1-2 command pod. Haven't tried any real payload yet.
  6. And it will all be mine. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/5/58/Larfleeze01.jpg/250px-Larfleeze01.jpg oops, we broke da rulz
  7. Invisible characters! wooooooooo!
  8. Dragon... we already had this conversation. You're not getting your model rocket. Stop asking for realism.
  9. *reads Mr. woot's post, and has a smile. Presses the "quote" button, and then cracks knuckles to have fresh typing fingers. Looks out the window with another smile and forms the post in his head.* Struts. If that doesn't work, you're doing something wrong. End of discussion.
  10. I'm surprised you're supporting the new LES. If you abort at ground level, or near it I should probably say, RealChute modded chutes do not have enough time to deploy before the pod smacks the ground. Yes yes, I know, can't talk about mods here, but I just want it noted. So yeah, we need to remove the thrust transform for that side motor. Is this possible with only the files provided by Squad?
  11. So I did a little math: Real SLS diameter (first stage at least lol) is 8.4 meters. If we 64% that, we get 5.3 meters. From there we can chop off the decimal and make the final diameter compatible with Novapunch at 5 meters (and probably FASA pack as well). 5 meters in KSP is size 4 before the 1.25 modifier is applied. This means that the size 3 parts we're getting will not be up to snuff for the hardcore rocket people we have here on the forums who would more than likely want a scale SLS to play with. I'm fine with the new parts, I'm just sort of making a prediction that there will be complaints about the sizes. I'm just waiting for the FASA Apollo mission release which will hopefully proceed 23.5 since the update should have the stronger joints/modify joints feature that Frizzank needs, but that's off topic, so talk about the new parts in KSP, not FASA
  12. lol no, the famousmorefamousthanyou youtubers always get a copy to play with in order to make them more famous. It's probably not even out of QA yet, though the tumblr hasn't updated with "EXPERIMENTALS!" or "QA!".
  13. I'm not enforcing that rule, I'm just repeating it over and over again till everyone is sick and tired of it. I know I am.
  14. remember, folks, bobcat is not contractually obligated to ever say another word ever for the rest of his life on this forum. All mods are like Schrodinger's cat.
  15. Size 3? Does that mean 3.75, or 3 meters? I'm obviously thinking of the mods that use 3.75 meter parts in game and compatibility. Praise the compatibility!
  16. You'll have to PM B9, then wait maybe a month or so before he'll look at his PMs, then wait another month before he'll respond. I assume that's the process currently with Artyom/bac9.
  17. Since this mod is so great, can we summon the devs to make some official statement on this resource (not ore in game lol) management? This really feels like something the devs should comfort us about. We need comforting!
  18. And another artist hits a wall. Is there a suggestion thread in the suggestion area suggesting what you are suggesting here? That's probably a good idea. Might want to make it a poll with the question, "Should Squad spend the time after .24 to update their file management systems for parts and their assets? -yes -Yes -Ja -Si -Weeeeeee -I have no idea what we're talking about, so yes." Oh wait, we'd have to put "no" in that poll, too..... the mining whiners might defeat us.
  19. Because the admins are not always on.
  20. I thought all of the official statements said "free" and "in .24." Someone summon Squad. I forget how the chant goes.
  21. It was sometime back in 2012. I unfortunately do not remember the month. I had a friend who went around telling everyone about a free game to download. I decided to give it a try. Explosions ensue. For those who are new, yes, KSP was free at one point, but that version is nothing compared to the version we have now. Back then I played with this Kerbal Space Thing for hours on end. I even found mods. Eventually, though, my interest dropped, and I deleted the game from my hard drive. It was later, during .15 or .16 long after the game went into pay mode, that I remembered "Oh hey, remember that Kerbal Thing Space? I should check that out." To my amusement, it was still alive, and I clicked "Accept" on the buy option. I still remember those early days with my pink Sundaypunch parts, the Mun (and only the mun) staring menacingly at my creations as I tried to obtain something that could be called an orbit. Such rockets!
  22. @Helldiver: People can exclude parts and internals from the texture compression if they so choose so. This isn't a case of the Texture Compression mod being bad, it's a case of people not doing things right, which is always the case.
