  1. It sounds like you did not install rss-textures like the instructions say
  2. Hot enough to melt lead and sulphuric acid rain, plus pressure like the bottom of the ocean, nice holiday spot
  3. When they pan off the edge of those photos you get a glimpse of the sulphuric yellow again, because they are sulphur laden clouds.
  4. They are undoubtably brightened at least and were probably black and white originally though venera 13 and 14 sent rgb tv back apparently
  5. It's not really fair I pointed out it had a slight oxygen atmosphere to @Berlin or @sDaZe and they ran wiith it. Whats interesting is that these moons though smaller than ours have more atmosphere and even clouds.
  6. @Berlin Just found an error in the scatterer folder, probably doesn't matter for you Windows users but case does on Linux and Mac, I kept getting this error spammed to my log [EXC 13:28:27.054] FileNotFoundException: Could not find file "/home/user/.steam/steamapps/common/Kerbal Space Program/GameData/scatterer/config/Io/Proland/Textures/Atmo/inscatter.raw". in your download you have the folder Proland in the above path with a lower case p, but the config has an uppercase P, @blackrack that's one error you can dismiss from my log. Edit: Also Triton is triton and the proland in it is also lower case Edit 2: Also Jupiter's proland is lower case, @blackrack this may be my Jupiter issue, yes it is, case solved! Edit 3: Pluto is pluto That should make the experience more enjoyable @Nansuchao I think it's one of Jupiters moons, callisto or ganymede
  7. Just tested deleting all the gasgiantcolor.dds files from rss-textures and adding a 10x10 pixel gasgiant.dds then changing the Kopernicus configs to point to it instead, saved about 180mb out of RAM, more than the difference between SVE High and Ultra. No worries if you guys don't want to add it I'll just put a little zip file together for myself, I only have 8GB of memory and no way to increase it at the moment, so it's useful for me.
  8. See a few replies up you need to download a texture
  9. But the inside won't look like the outside anyway, and it's anyones guess what it would look like. A black ball would be as accurate as anything else because no light would penetrate that deep.
  10. You know I would be tempted to put some simple plain low res one color textures on the Gas Giants (optional for those who don't want clouds) it will save memory and performance and the only time you would see it is when plunging to your death. Maybe a big smiley face?
  11. Also check the surface color of venus and the tint
  12. Not sure how realistic you guys want to get but here are photos from the surface of Venus (I'm playing with scatterer trying to replicate the haze) and Mars (your clouds may be a bit over the top )
  13. A picture of Venus without scatterer so you can see the clouds
  14. They are now I found a missing bracket, Did you go to surface of venus because scatterer obscures the clouds
  15. New clouds.cfg (Note: I have been experimenting with Earths Clouds so don't copy if you want to keep yours the same as they were) https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6gbi4omighqM0o3Q0VzdUpnUEE Some images, Saturn is still green, I found a performance issue and fixed it (I probably caused it too)
  16. The two layers of volumetric clouds on Earth in conjunction with scatterer really kill my FPS, this is probably due more to my aging hardware though. I will upload a new clouds config in a minute with height and color fixes for Jupiter and Saturn. (not finished just not green) Edit: when I said a minute I meant a few hours, sorry life gets in the way.
  17. Its pretty cool when you timewarp and you see the bands revolve in different directions, with the clouds
  18. Um as I said in my post I would not use mine, you will also find Jupiter and Saturn jave turned green because they are using Jools cloud configs. They can be turned the right colour and height really simply, I already have better colors in mine. This was meant for @Berlin to copy stuff out of if he wanted for his configs, not to replace their configs.
  19. Just to let you know I am having a scatterer issue at Jupiter, I tested a few different things and what seems to happen is that when I get within a certain distance of Jupiter my memory starts getting eaten up, till I am at 52000km, the last 2000km eats up 2.5gb of memory and then I crash out. This is what was causing the issue that I reported a while ago about Hyperediting to inside Jupiters moons orbits and it crashing my game in Linux. I have sent the logs through to @blackrack to look at. If I remove scatterer I can get right up close to Jupiter no worries. Edit: I deleted the configs for all of Jupiters moons and that made no difference. Edit 2: it's Jupiters scatterer config that doing it, I am going to replace it with Jools and see how that goes.
  20. @Berlin here is a clouds config for SVE with a few fixes and extras, it needs the DetailStorm texture so no-one else download it without first getting that texture https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6gbi4omighqYnBsRXZiVVVPQnc
