  1. According to @EJ_SA, it was a major problem. I dont remenber the details, but something broke and it fell the last 5 feet to the ground.
  2. The trailer was made by artists for artistic effect, not to be an exact representation of the game. There is a lot more wrong with the trailer, such as the orientation of the planets, etc
  3. It's a game, not reality. Not everything is perfect, and frankly, rockets are not build and launched in a day. If you are concerned about reality, then KSP is not the game for you. If they use a new technology which may or may not exist in real life, then that's the handwaving which every game has.
  4. Well, it IS a game, and while we may not have it right now (we also don't have antimatter), it is entirely probable that we will have it in the next 50 years or so

  8. Lua is what they are using during development. There is nothing which locks them to Lua, and it's too early for them to lock anything like that. And Python has it's own oddities
  9. What makes you think it doesnt work? If using CKAN, you need to set all 1.7 mods compatible
  10. Keep in mind that the mod needs to know where the icons are. This generally requires the code to be recompiled Edit: I just realized (silly me) that this was the mod's thread.
  11. If you use the ToolbarController, it has code to read the files directly from disk, and gives the ability for the player to use either toolbar, without the modder needing to worry about supporting two different toolbars
  12. If the icons are in the PluginData directory, KSP won’t spam the log, and the ToolbarController doesn’t spam either
  13. The ToolbarController will happily load 38x38 icons without any problems. I recommend to put 5em into a PluginData directory so that KSP won’t try to read them.

  16. No. I believe that rask/rusk will be a special case, probably handled with some custom code for them, but this is only an educated guess
  17. One of the things I'll be asking them tomorrow. But my guess is that Linux is a very minor part, they are concentrating on the main release. However, since it's Unity, and Unity runs just about anywhere, it may be a pleasant surprise come release day
  18. I can think of any number of reasons why they won't want to talk about them. Among other things, if they say there are clouds, then many other questions will be asked which they may not want to, or can't answer at this time. We did get confirmation that there would NOT be weather, so no rain, wind, storms, etc
  19. While we didn't see any clouds on the ground, every time we asked about clouds, the answer was essentially no comment.
  20. You should update to the latest, some issues with the ulage were fixed, and what you are describing sounds like the problem. Latest should work on 1.6.1
