Ok, I found the problem. The name changes are important, thanks. But the NEEDS can stay as is, since the directory/folder the EPL mod is in has not been renamed. From the MM handbook: New release, 0.1.15.2 Updated EPL patches to reflect the new names for the workshop and convertor Thanks to @Critter79606 for pointing out that EPL had the names changed

What you could do is add a new module to each part. The module doesnt have to do anything, it just has to be there. And then he can look for that module in the part, if its there, it can identify the mod where i5 is from.

The problem with a DIY thing like this, is that if you do it wrong, you can actually create a risk where one didn't exist before. For example, earlier it was mentioned about running a cable in the same conduit as the power. Well, that can cause problems, if there isn't a lot of room, you can conceivably exceed the rated capacity of the conduit and possibly cause a fire.

Well, it probably isn't an incompatible mod, most mods which run on any 1.4.x will run on all the 1.4.x There are a few mods, such as Kopernicus which are version specific. -

Plenty of other games have this sort of interactability. That's not the focus of kerbell space program. Adding that would be a lot of work for essentially no gain from the game point of view. -
