  1. ....or it could be that I did, indeed, place the verniers too low on the model. If so, whoops. I'll fix it when I can.
  2. The problem is he has to make a new model to fix it, but he was busy with skylab and now the texture revamp.
  3. will it be compatible with 0.18? and will it be on steam workshop
  4. ^^^this. Then you could use the core to make the UR700 (with different engines ofc) and use the boosters to make smaller UR rockets.
  5. The Titan stuff modified the Titan rocket, idk what it does exactly (moar realism?). The SaturnMB file adds in all the stuff from ETS, like Saturn Multibody, Apollo Bl.IV, and the S-IVC EDIT: And yes, you just dump whatever you want into the gamedata folder IIRC (although the only one I've ever used was the SaturnMB)
  6. Early LEO versions, and the LOK, had 2 crew. The only 3 man versions were the original station version, which had no space for pressure suits, and modern versions (where tech has advanced enough to allow miniaturization and make space for suits)
  7. Then apparently you don't. On a more serious note, maybe its related to balloon tanks? Or you accidentally put a thrust limiter on something? I really can't offer much in the way of actual help without some pictures of your rocket.
  8. Ahh, sorry I guess I did misread your post a bit. It appears we actually agree, to an extent, it's just that you believe in the point (DLC is better than mods for some/all situations) a bit more strongly/universally than I do.
  9. The issue with being unable to attatch anything to the DP is due to tweakable everything IIRC, if you can remove the "tweakable docking port" or whatever module it works fine. I do know when it comes to actual docking it must be between a gemini & an agena port, idk what is causing the problem. I do have a feeling it will be solved when you fix the 1st problem. If not, at least each failed docking still adds 5% reliability. EDIT: I forgot pages were a thing. Again.
  10. To be fair, (A) that's Shadowmage and he does the impossible daily, and (B) that is fairly reecent...
  11. I tend to disagree. While most things are achievable through modding, some things end up being very hacky and buggy, or simply aren't possible. Take Kerbal Konstructs, for example: yes, it works, but it tends to have...problems. Things like the fact that buildings can't be destructable, or that you can't refocus the camera to other space centers. (Let me make clear that I'm not trying to insult KK or its creators, heck I love that mod to death and it's amazing what they've done) There are also things that can't be done with mods: things like an AI space program. Sure, you could cobble together something from contracts and craft files, but it wouldn't be very good. HOWEVER I would like to point something else out: mods aren't availible on Console. DLCs most likely will be. On the same note, I think it would be a cool idea if Squad could work with the CKAN team to bring mods to console, and possibly require a 'subscription' of some sort, or make mods have a cost that is split between the mod maker(s) and Squad. @RoverDude seeing as you're active in this thread, can you weigh in? (A) will DLCs work for Console and (B) will mods ever come to Console in any form?
  12. If that is true, I hope Squad incorporates them into stock (and maybe down the road give other oldish parts a similar treatment)
  13. Huh. Ok then, I guess my mission was over before it ever started Back to Porkjet's revamp, I can't seem to find the thread it was in, does anyone have a link? Or at least know what license it has?
  14. To the first part: point made, and after sitting back for a bit I think its a good idea for a DLC When I say "it" I am refering to the missions. But if what I read from the OP is correct, there will be 2 packs, so I'm good with that. Now for the second part, "finished" I think a game is "finished" when the Devs fulfill all their promises. There are quite a few things we've been promised over the years, and a few of those promises still haven't been fulfilled. Speaking of, on a semi-related note, would Squad be legally allowed to integrate what Porkjet did finish into the stock game? THAT would be pretty rad. EDIT: After reading over the OP again, I'm not sure - is it 1 expansion with 2 main features, or 2 seprate smaller expansions/DLCs?
  15. That's the new part that should be a DLC....if it's what I hope it is. If it is, in fact, a new system. @sal_vager can you confrim it is, and not than just a UI to help make scenarios? Ninja'd by the man himself, well then.
  16. @Snark to sum it up, I have to say this: DLCs are great. I would buy the @#?! out of them. But this should not be a DLC. From what we know so far, every single feature lines up more with a normal update, or an official mod, than a DLC. Especially seeing as that it seems many things can already be done with mods. A DLC should add something new. Look at Fallout 4, for example: anotger game with a large modding community, and DLCs. That game's DLCs added new gameplay mechanics, and/or made things that, sure, could have been DLCs, but were much, much larger than any DLCs to-date. On to the "game not finished" debate....yes, many things are placeholders. Have you seen all the glitches around the not-max-level KSC? Or what about the 1.25m and 2.5m parts?
