So every time I've thought of it since I read this thread (a couple of days), I've been pinching my nose and trying to breathe, and checking my digital watch. Aside from looking slightly insane, I think this might have helped my lucid dream, since I've gotten slightly better at remembering my normal dreams, and there have more times where I realize I'm dreaming right before I wake up in the morning. I've tried to stay in control of those by doing stuff like rubbing my hands together, but I find I only end up controlling my real body.

It looks like the black panels are graphite, designed to dissipate the heat from the RCS system. If you look at this image: You can see that the ascent module's RCS system is directly above the black stuff. You can also see it in LMs from apollo 11 onwards, on the landing pads, but only facing towards the engine: In this pic (from 1976, of a KSC installation, with flight hardware), you can see the blast deflectors again:

We definitely have Tantares Tantares LV, procedural parts and fairings, and FASA for the ten ton lifter. I'll add it to the doc.

Have you considered releasing that independently of the rest of the craft? the gold foil, the custom landing gear, it's the best LM replica I've seen.

That looks great, and I hate to be that guy, but the coupla window border corners aren't all the same. The lower left one isn't sharp like the lower right one. It looks amazing though, and it's great to have a new icon!

To reduce lag and make it look better, you can use struts for the cockpit structure. You could do it in KSP with whack-a-kerbal balls, if you increase the maximum number of whack-a-kerbal items visible.
