  1. Well, the Railgun is already being tested, and the physics are sound, so yes for it. What about things like laser cannons and death rays?
  2. I want to respond, and I know the concepts of entanglement, but I'm afraid I don't know all that jargon.
  3. Unfortunately, any beings not significantly developed enough to appreciate their insignificance in the cosmos go completely insane upon operating the TPV. (P.S. You got that from Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy, didn't you )
  4. Sorry it's been a while, but I'm updating! --Year 2115 (Kerbal time), Day 258, Hour 2; Tracking Station, KSC, Klathuu, Kerbin-- "Um... Boss, this is Klemny Kerman. I've got a radio transmission coming in on most frequencies. It appears to be of intelligent origin." "Go ahead, translate it, please." "'We are the Borg. You will be assimilated. Resistance is futile.'" "That makes no sense." "Whoops, trying again..." "'[CENSORED] [CENSORED] [CENSORED]' No, definitely not that one!" "'Hello, aliens. We are invading your planet. If you surrender, there is a small chance that we will consider sparing some of your lives. If not, you will all be exterminated. Good-bye.'"
  5. With that much CO2, probably around 303-308 degrees Kelvin.
  6. Not the ISS, the Hubble. I meant a Shuttle-class vehicle could pick the Hubble up in 50 years.
  7. Kepler-186f: The first (roughly) Earth-sized planet orbiting in the habitable zone discovered (except Earth, obv.). Nickname: Carl (ok, not really), Taii'rai (Tie-Ray) ASL Gravity: approx. 10.88 m/s2 (1.1G) ASL Pressure: 1.5 atm Atmosphere Composition: 75% N2, 20% CO2, 4% O2, 1% Trace The planet's surface is 56% ocean, 35% land, 9% ice cap There are simple photosynthetic bacteria in the oceans, and a primitive food chain has evolved with predatory creatures the size of protists eating bacteria. The planet and its system are relatively young, which explains why life on it has yet to evolve to more complex forms.
  8. Well, we could just send a robot tug up to push it into a higher orbit. In 50 years, I'd be disappointed if we didn't have a Shuttle-class vehicle in service.
  9. FA was actually very true to the originals, and you're probably right about 100 years from now. Star Wars is much better than Shakespeare.
  10. I'm wondering how long MechJeb has been around. Maybe @sarbian can help?
  11. Oh, if only we had as many users as Minecraft...
  12. Good point. I think they might program them not to eat each other? Never thought of that! Hey, you never know, someday we might discover how to harness the zero-point field (not impossible).
  13. As @Tex_NL said, tidal forces will sustain life (--cough-- Europa --cough--). Burning? Like, on fire? I doubt that's possible for a gas giant. If you mean fusion, then by definition, it's not a gas giant, it's a star!
  14. Great biography! Admittedly your custom Kerbal in the save file reads: name = RocketSquid Kerman
  15. Dres mission plans are complete! It works like this: Dres mission every two years (SpaceplaneAddict or Sanic). Eight crew on the mission, two "caretakers" for the other craft. The crews will alternate between mission crew and caretakers. The craft will alternate, too. This is the basic outline for Project Demeter.
  16. You can post it in a comment. After all, I don't know your personal biography (No real-life personal info required).
  17. Note that the fine print on the flag contract reads, "genius astronaut". Does this mean that the Kerbonaut who completes this contract gets their Stupidity value lowered? XD
  18. What have you got against Nassault? Have you ever seen "Jool" or "Pale Blue Dot"? It's really kinda moving!
  19. Name: Jebediah Kerman Occupication: Kerbonaut (ID #001) Description: Jeb is the "face" of KSP, and a certified badS. He loves to fly experimental spacecraft, and is something of an adrenaline junkie. However, he is the best pilot in the Kerbol system. Name: Bill Kerman Occupication: Kerbonaut (ID #002) Description: Bill is an engineer, and serves as the mediator between badS Jeb and rational Bob. He is the best engineer known to Kerbal, which is one of the reasons he was hired. He has a strong sense of loyalty. Name: Bob Kerman Occupation: Kerbonaut (ID #003) Description: Bob is rational-minded, and is tired of Jeb's antics. He never understands the point of needless explosions, which Jeb views as a significant character flaw. He is a scientist, getting his KhD at Karvard and spending research time at KIT. He studied under the tutelage of Wernher Von Kerman, and was selected as a Kerbonaut due to his intelligence and problem-solving skills. Name: Valentina Kerman Occupication: Kerbonaut (ID #004) Description: Valentina has known Jeb, Bill, and Bob since sprouthood, and the four have been best friends since. She is as good a pilot as Jeb, and badS as well, but despite being fearless, is more rational then Jeb. She was selected as a Kerbonaut due to her piloting skills. She was the first female Kerbonaut in space and performed the first ever EVA [Yes, I know it was Leonov, but hey] Name: Gene Kerman Occupication: Flight Director/Mission Controller Description: Gene is flight director for most missions, a team player, rational, and a problem-solver. He is famous for bringing Kerballo 13 home. Name: Wernher von Kerman Occupication: Scientist (R&D head) Description: Werhner is a scientist, and somewhat vain. He wears glasses and sports a large black mustache, and brags of being famous. However, he is extremely intelligent, and tutored Bob. Names: Gus Kerman/ Linus Kerman/ Walt Kerman Occupications: KSC staff Description: These three are always seen together. They're important to the KSP, but don't get much attention. Name: Mortimer Kerman Occupication: Finances Description: He's an old accountant. I suppose he's good at his job. He loves making things cheap. UNCOMFIRMED: May be slightly evil. Forum colonists, you can ask for your bios to go here! --Operation_Super_Colonization/Files/Personnel--
