@SnarkI'm not interested in updating and maintaining the mod I have no experience in that. I was asking if someone else would do it
-
So as we know, burn together hasn't been updated since .90 and due to the implementation of wing commander into BD Armory Baha has seemingly stopped working on it, he even removed the link to it from his signature. Earlier I was testing wing commander out with some helicopters, and it turns out that the AI has absolutely no idea how to fly a purely VTOL craft. But with burn together since it is based off of your inputs and not an AI pilot trying to decide how to fly, the other vessels will try and copy you to the best of their ability, making it possible to have massive Huey fleets flying through the sky at once! What I am requesting is that someone go ahead and update and maintain the mod until Baha appears again, since he has seemingly disappeared. Both the Burn together and BD Armory threads got locked because everyone was spamming the thread with requests for him to update, so there is no way to try and connect to him via his own threads. So that is why I have posted this here.

@Redshift OTF @pTrevTrevs I did a little test with both the Huey and the Cobra. The Huey made with this much fuel left, and I had to use the momentum it had to coast in to shore. And the huey I used is the modified one that has an extra 50 units of fuel via a fuel tank in the crew comparment And the Cobra made it with this much. The Cobra starts with less fuel, but it is more aerodynamic and only uses 1 Huey rotor compared to the Huey that Redshift made which uses 2 but clipped inside of each other. So the cobra consumes less fuel than the Huey

Huey Bell UH-1 Helicopter
Combatsmithen replied to Redshift OTF's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
@Redshift OTF @pTrevTrevs With the extra added fuel tank. I was barely able to make it to the shore of the island from the KSC. I literally landed on FUMES. I had about a kilometer of altitude, I went higher to save a little bit on drag and make the engine more fuel efficient. I had about 2.5 units of fuel when I was about 500 meters from shore, so I cut the engine and started to decrease altitude while using whatever momentum the heli had to coast into the shore. And then I was coming down in the water right next to the shore so I went full power, gave it a little boost and put it down as fast as I could. I wish there would be an easy way to squeeze at least a 50-70km range out of this thing, The real Huey could do almost 200 miles. -
I am having problems with the GSh-23 and the GSh-301. They have no ammo in them, and since there is no 23mm or 30mm ammo boxes for them, I can't use them. Havent tested the M129 grenade launcher, but I suspect that it is the same, along with the helicopter turret variant. There is no right click info on any of them when you hover over them in the part list, normally that would show the amount of a resource inside of the cannon. Im using 1.1.3 P.S. It sucks because im trying to build as accurate of a Mig-15 that I can D: P.P.S. It also appears that the gunpod isnt on the part list either. Interesting..... P.P.P.S. Found it

Hey @Redshift OTF I took your Huey to! Im gona do a craft review for both the Huey and Cobra tomorrow if I can I love the Huey and Cobra. It just sucks that with replicas its hard to hide fuel. Your stock Huey was about 5-8km shy of making it to the Island runway from the KSC. So I added an extra Mk0 fuel tank inside of the crew compartment itself, it actually doesn't look that bad, and it gives it an extra 50 units of fuel, which should give it enough to make it to the island runway. Sadly the Huey maxes out at like 40 m/s, so pretty much 80 MPH, the real Huey could cruise at 125. I guess so is the nature of trying to replicate real vehicles inside a smaller scale game with not exact real life physics @pTrevTrevsI haven't tested the Cobra's max speed or endurance range yet though, I've mostly been derping around with it blowing stuff up.

Realism Overhaul Discussion Thread
Combatsmithen replied to NathanKell's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
Oh. I thought maybe he had a large probe. My first film return sat used the able core. and ST2 solar panels. It lasted long enough to orbit a couple times before I decoupled it and sent the film back -

Well 3 of the early extendable panels should generate ~360 watts which should be enough for the able. Unless he is using crappy solar panels like I said before -
Realism Overhaul Discussion Thread
Combatsmithen replied to NathanKell's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
Well if he has at least 3 of the early extendable but non-retractible solar panels he should be fine.(forgot the name of the panels) So he must not have them and have some of the static panels. The static panels are near worthless for anything bigger than a small LEO sat. The ST1 being the worst offender with 12.6 watts of power generation at 100% exposure. -
