Looks like it doubles as a coffee table. That adds some value.

Yes, it is latitude. Or maybe both. I’ve struggled with this bug myself in my Terrainium project. I have also encountered similar issues when trying to specify a very narrow range (equivalent to <1 degree). My goal was to locate scatter-based cities, but the limits in gamenever really matched the inputs. A major usability improvement would be to allow input of Latitude (-90 - +90) and longitude (-180 - +180) In degrees rather than percents, although the calculation is not too hard, it is still a barrier to entry and complicates things. ... I have seen some configs using ranges beyond 0-1 for these values but never knew why. Maybe the intention was to “triple wrap” the area.

Comet Neowise 2020! [August Hubble photo update]
Nightside replied to a topic in Science & Spaceflight
Yay, saw it last night, finally. Had to wait until it peaked behind the neighbors pine tree. I used the Sky Guide app to find where it should be and looked with binoculars, but could then pick it out unaided after that. -

Same, I’ve looked mornings too. -
Data from people who click on the website might be more valuable than any money they make.

Sounds like an Apple-style slick white box.

KSP2 Team looking for a Graphics Software Engineer
Nightside replied to KerbalChiefEngineer's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
A job posting is just a wish list, don’t worry too much about the specifics. They may also have entry level roles that they are too busy to post. But don’t wait for permission, just go for it. Worst case scenario, you updated your resume. Maybe you get feedback or an interview, it’s all a chance to experience something new. -
[1.8.1-1.9.1] Rescale Continued v.1.0.0
Nightside replied to Profiremu23's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
The mountains of Kerbin are already the height of Himalayas, and way steeper. If you increase them with the planets radius they will be out of the atmosphere. The flat terrain is sorta realistic, but the stock terrain map is so boring it aggravates the problem. -
Finally a Kerbal flatulence simulator for the rest of us! Thanks for sharing @Flibble!

Finally a clear night here, but no luck.. Too many things in the way. And maybe light pollution too. -
Still playing through Outer Wilds for an hour or so most nights, after the baby falls asleep. It is a brilliant story and great gameplay. Definitely recommend for anyone who wished the KSP storyline was better.

Depends on humidity. if heat comes with high humidity where you live, AC will help more. If you are in a dryer climate, shade and fan should be good.

[1.8.1] Kerbal Konstructs - 1.8.1.15 - 15.Dec.2019
Nightside replied to Ger_space's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
You will probably need to post logs then. Are you trying to run additional KK static packs? Try removing them. -
But how many people now choose to spend their gaming time farming, driving trucks, planning cities, or managing complex resource chains.... They might as well be working!

even though they are huge, they aren’t out of proportion, and anyway the thing isn’t really very comparable to thex37. The design goal of starship is to optimize for reuseability, not payload/launch. Even if the payload shrinks to be equivalent to Falcon Heavy, starship will be successful if it can achieve its goal of reducing launch costs significantly . Of course, it’ll require completely different mission architecture than an Apollo mission.

Pretty sure NASA are peeved. But Boeing still has friends and influence inside NASA, but things are changing. A Boeing mole recently “resigned” after slipping them some intel. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.space.com/amp/boeing-moon-lander-nasa-doug-loverro-resignation.html

Well, presumably OP wants to EVE on the other planets. Maybe just disabling the Jool config would be enough.

[New] Space Launch System / Orion Discussion Thread
Nightside replied to ZooNamedGames's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Can you elaborate on this? -
Do you mean the larger diameter "BFR" version? The design principle of Starship is total reusability. The mass ratio doesn't have to be great if you can can launch multiple rockets at a fraction of the price of a single expendable launch. Otherwise, yeah a supersized Falcon Heavy would be pretty awesome.

[1.8.1] Kerbal Konstructs - 1.8.1.15 - 15.Dec.2019
Nightside replied to Ger_space's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Well, there is the wiki: https://github.com/GER-Space/Kerbal-Konstructs/wiki/MapDecal:-Editor but mainly it is a trial-and-error exercise. You can do A LOT with the terrain tools, oh, and I think there is an error in the MapDecal UI, it says RADIUS, but I think it should be Diameter or Width. Some examples. -
