  1. I agree. Looked like it shut off about a person's height from the ground. Maybe there was a very low fuel margin for this payload.
  2. New ISS tour out! "Now, we don't always play with our...well...yes we do."
  3. THERE'S JUST MILLIONS OF TINY AIRBORNE ROCKS FLOATING AROUND AND EVERYONE IS JUST GOING ABOUT THEIR DAY LIKE THIS IS OKAY
  4. Somebody tell SpaceX they forgot to reset the counter on the YT webcast...
  5. A Skeksis doing things he shouldn't: And a couple Vorts: Galunga
  6. Pluto is on the council, but we do not grant it the rank of master.
  7. Swap Pluto and Triton, and make Triton a planet. Additionally, maybe make that super-Earth a water planet. We don't have any water planets and it's really hip to have a water planet.
  8. SpaceX for rockets and boosters and experimental technology. NASA for scientific probes, human spaceflight, Earth science and observation, and other experimental technology.
  9. I have to go to the campus across town this evening, and by the looks of it it's going to be...precipitating when I have to go. Ech.
  10. With the success of this test we're coming up fast on the first astronaut flight on Dragon! I'm very excited! And might I add, that was a very nice firework from the booster!
  11. Is blue people Avatar better than periodic table Avatar?
  12. For me, Mars is important not just on its own as a destination but as a gateway to the rest of the solar system. If we can develop two-way transport between Earth and Mars, we'll be able to go anyplace in the solar system and stay there. And once we do that we'll be well on our way to building interstellar ships. That's why colonization of Mars is a big deal.
  13. No one person really knows or can decide what we do with Mars. Especially since the implications of it can change the next billions of years of the galaxy. It's pretty much impossible for just anyone to go on the early ships, unless they fully expect to live a short life and meet its end on Mars. It won't get to the point of 'just buy a ticket and go' for a long time, but I do think the mentality of building ships that can support that will get us there, even if it takes a couple hundred years (gotta remember that Elon Time is a thing).
  14. Naboo Man, presumed dead after falling off bridge, found again by family after building hundreds of illegal weapons in his garage
