  1. just put it anywhere in the GameData folder already answered my bad licensing
  2. I want a well rounded mod and its obviously my goof because I designed our scatterer configs with DO installed. TBH I didn't take into consideration some one playing without it. So you are making me a better dev by making me think of how others might play so thank you
  3. OK I FIGURED IT OUT FINALLY! set ExtinctionRimFade to 1 let me know if that worked for you!
  4. Try Poodmund deep space skybox. I use it and never get the ring you had
  5. ah my bad... try turning your gamma down in the Nvidia control panel under Adjust Desktop Color Settings My Setting are Brightness: 45 Contrast: 50 Gamma: 0.65 results may vary ALSO do you have Distant Objects installed? Turn on Dynamic Sky Dimming in Distant Objects. I just tured mine off and got the exact same ring
  6. you are on OSX right? if so that might be the issue I cant test this on opengl :?/ I thought it might be a brightness or gamma issue but I just turned all of my setting higher and I don't see that
  7. Press alt+F11 and set AtmosphereGlobalScale to 1 and see if that fixes it? ALSO do me a favor and check your cloud height is correct on earth. looks like SVE scaled wrong. @blackrack what could be causing this? gamma/brightness too high or opengl? I'm at a loss
  8. it doesn't require it but you are going to miss out on the sun flare, the ocean FX and the atmospheres around planets. but that's about it. BUT you wont have the flickering that comes with scatterer so that's a plus!
  9. I haven't tried the RSS planet packs. SVE might be a thing in the VERRRYY NEAR FUTURE.. Don't go anywhere. STANDBY...
  10. yeah I tried it. wasn't perfect since rve isn't exactly compatible but it looked ok. I just could get the ocean so I stopped using it
  11. you need rss textures. please read the read me
  12. What is even better about this thread is the fact that you guys are helping each other and not asking us about everything. Maybe we can be a catalyst for change!?
  13. I completely agree. I was expecting and onslaught after the release. However it has been very quiet. Maybe the mod isn't as widely known as others just yet. Give it time and enjoy it now while it's calm!
  14. I have fixed this issue and will have the update out by tonight hopefully! I'm not sure exactly how it will look in OSX because, well, I don't have a mac but it should fix the issue. Good looking out! Thanks
  15. This sounds like you are having the flickering scatterer issue there is currently no fix for it
  16. well I may have misled him while discussing the issue. xD I too am having framerate issues with the the latest update and had to revert my scatterer back to the first one we packaged. Now while that may work, not having the newest scatterer may cause some people to be upset. HOWEVER, I just tried something and it seemed to fix my framerate issue with the newest scatterer. I have a little testing to do tonight and might have an update ready tomorrow or Tuesday at the latest. Edit: definitely fixed the issue.. Testing is done. Will package the fix tomorrow
