[1.8.1-1] [PLEASE FORK ME] Kopernicus & KittopiaTech
Galileo replied to Thomas P.'s topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
The latest GPP needs Kopernicus 1.3.1-5. 1.3.1-3 will not work correctly with GPP 1.6.1.0. GPP 1.6.0.1 uses Kopernicus 1.3.1-3 and should not be used with 1.3.1-5. Be sure you are using the correct versions. -
[KSP 1.12.1+] Galileo's Planet Pack [v1.6.6] [23 Sept 2021]
Galileo replied to Galileo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Absolutely nothing changed in regards to those folders. The only structure that changed in the main GPP folder is that terrain textures, not to be confused with planet textures, were moved into a PluginData folder, which is irrelevant in this situation. This may very well be a CKAN issue.- 7,371 replies

[KSP 1.6.1] Stock Visual Terrain [v2.2.0] [20 March 2019]
Galileo replied to Galileo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
@Battou do not use the latest Kopernicus, SVT is not updated to use it. Stick with 1.3.1-3. Also you will need to delete the sun curve cfg in the SVT folder. I will update SVT when I have time.- 1,019 replies

Are you using the Kopernicus that comes included in the RSS download? If so, it won’t work. I think you are because module manager 2.8.0 does not work with 1.3.1. Also Kopernicus is version locked. The version included with RSS is for KSP 1.2.2 and will only work with 1.2.2. You need to be using Kopernicus 1.3.1-3. And the latest module manager. There is also a patch in the RSS thread that I posted that makes RSS compatible with 1.3.1. You will need to go through the last couple of pages to find it.

Gonna needs logs, and screenshot of your gamedata folder. Also, if this is a 100% fresh install, you need to run the game once without mods so KSP can build its settings.
-
That will create an issue as your crafts are orbiting bodies with different names. You will need to edit the persistent save file. This may cause them to lose any science. Not only that, but you KSC will also likely be reverted to level 1. There are a lot more issues than this and most you can’t avoid. I’m not saying it’s not possible, but moving from a stock career to any planet pack, especially one that replaces the entire stock system is certainly not recommended. It’s far more complicated than just loading a save
-
Are you trying to transfer a stock career to RSS?

[1.8.1-1] [PLEASE FORK ME] Kopernicus & KittopiaTech
Galileo replied to Thomas P.'s topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I can’t look at your logs because I’m on mobile, but what are you trying to run that requires Kopernicus? I don’t think there is anything that has been updated yet to work with it. And some mods, like Sigma’s mods, will cause crashes right now. Kopernicus us is a tool for planet modders are typically dependent on a particular version of Kopernicus. So, it’s good practice to stay on the last version known to work with that mod until told otherwise. You aren’t missing out on any new features especially if the mod is not updated for the latest Kopernicus anyway. -

[1.8.1-1] [PLEASE FORK ME] Kopernicus & KittopiaTech
Galileo replied to Thomas P.'s topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Oh I know, but I must have read what Thomas said incorrectly. I thought he said me telling you to roll back to 1.3.1-3 was wrong. -
[1.8.1-1] [PLEASE FORK ME] Kopernicus & KittopiaTech
Galileo replied to Thomas P.'s topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Are you saying it failed in 1.3.1-3? Because all I was suggesting was that he return to that version until I updated SVT. if it was indeed broken, I will need to get an update out ASAP -
[1.8.1-1] [PLEASE FORK ME] Kopernicus & KittopiaTech
Galileo replied to Thomas P.'s topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
@Tarheel1999 I mean, I haven’t updated anything to the latest Kopernicus (not saying there isn’t a problem), but if you are just using Kopernicus for SVT, you had no reason to update yet. -
[KSP 1.6.1] Stock Visual Enhancements [v1.4.1] [20 March 2019]
Galileo replied to Galileo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I need you to run SVE without any other mods. Nobody else has reports nullrefs and my copy does not have them either. Strip your GameData and run the minimum amount of mods required to reproduce the issue. -

[1.8.1-1] [PLEASE FORK ME] Kopernicus & KittopiaTech
Galileo replied to Thomas P.'s topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
That’s typically caused by a bad texture path. You are also missing a body template, which will cause issues. -
to Add to what @JadeOfMaar said: kopernicus is version locked, so using the bundled Kopernicus won’t work beyond 1.3.0. there have been a lot of changes to Kopernicus that require changes to the cfgs of this planet pack (sun curves). Using the latest Kopernicus will not work right for the mod. a potential work around would be to try Kopernicus 1.3.1-1. The current cfgs for this mod might work with it. Or, if it’s an option, roll back to 1.3.0

Post logs. See my signature. There is a button there that says “how to get support” click that and gather the required troubleshooting files and share them here. My guess is that you are not launching the x64 version of KSP, but I can’t know for certain until you give us more info.

[1.12.5] Grannus Expansion Pack [v1.2.8] [10 May 2022]
Galileo replied to OhioBob's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Answered you in the GPP thread. Well GEP is compatible and put around its own star with GN so you may have taken some unnecessary steps. -
[KSP 1.12.1+] Galileo's Planet Pack [v1.6.6] [23 Sept 2021]
Galileo replied to Galileo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Yep, there is an issue currently with Linux and Kopernicus. This has been addressed in the test versions on Kopernicus and should be fixed later. Until then, you can convert the ring and star textures to png, and change the file extensions in the cfgs.- 7,371 replies
