  1. Merlins would be cool, specially if you can make placeholders in the meantime. I was going to suggest those but thought you would be sticking to the NASA stuff. LH2 in addition to LF would have SSTU depart from the bland LF/O of stock fuels, and make for some other design issues (less weight, more volume, so larger tanks etc). Nertea is using a 15:1 ratio right now, but that makes for some hefty tank volumes (see my pic a few posts/pages back). KSPI also uses 10:1 and has it's own boil-off method, Nertea uses something else. I think it would be cool if everyone came together on this and made a single standard for LH2 and/or boil-off (not so much a plug-in, but a standard for amount/sec and Ec drain etc). Right now I can't combine Nert's engines with your tanks, or the other way around, without diving into the cfgs to change the ratio (or have tanks with manual ratio edits, leaving dead space. Constellation: RS68 and J2X engines check, Orion/SM check, tanks check, fairings check, booster errrr... Modular SRBs are all that is left. I could use some smaller ones to be honest. And those nice nose cones that I keep bugging you about I can think of some other Constellation parts, but those would be for the Station core later (Mars EDS + hab, nuclear engines).
  2. LOL, yeah, almost got it right, the J part anyway Cool to see you are completing the set, now I can build a real Ares I/V set
  3. Asparagus is the most efficient way to use boosters, but you have to do it properly. It's only efficient in KSP as the dry weight of everything it so high that is is actually helpfull to drop off unused weight in favor of losing a little thrust (you need less and less the higher you get anyway).
  4. A demo is a way for people to check out what they are buying. I've skipped a lot of games on Steam as I was not sure I would like them, and since there was no demo is just opted out of spending €30-60. I bought KSP none-the-less.
  5. Pfff, I don't get past 30fps average with just regular parts. What kind of GPU are you running?
  6. Looking good is one thing, but if it is detrimental to cpu load, then not worth it.
  7. What did you mean with the RS68, is what I meant with what do you mean Kerbal's gotz big headz, I know. I just noticed when I wanted to send up 3 guys.
  8. What do you mean? BTW, was the 2-seat soyuz intentional? The original is a 3 seater?
  9. Hah, I actually like the way it sticks into the ground The grey suits the craft, but all-white would also be nice and stick more to the original. Is there any chance of getting textures on the fairings/decouplers at some point? Or will they stay all-white (as in only a white texture)? I've sent in PRs for the SAS torques. I've removed it completely from the OM as this is just a hab container, and the DM/SM combined have enough torque (even with my PR for lower ones) to turn the craft nice and steady. RCS seems fine for now, docking is smooth together with these SAS settings. Maybe smaller plumes, but I saw you mentioned being busy with the FX. The LS supplies in the new patches are only in the OM/DM for the C series, to keep it a bit more realistic, and also for 3+3 days instead of 3+9 as with the A/B. Having fun with the interstage decouplers, you get that Apollo feeling now when the entire fairing lets go while you fire the 2nd stage. I find myself running lower thrust rates and fuel ammounts, as with 100/100% you can actually propel your craft quite a bit dV-wise. Maybe make a rocket only out of decouplers
  10. OK will do. I've used them on the last release though, but this time the tanks were closer to each other, maybe that is the difference. I'll test some more and switch the damage off otherwise.. The new way of ejecting is a lot nice, no boosters overtaking the core etc and the glide away nicely. Thanks for that change! Gotcha on the auto-decouple!!! Took a couple of passes of reading it before the lightbulb went on. Nice feature, I'll test it out right away. [edit] Just tested it. OMG, this is so freaking cool!!! And this happened after an abort Funny!
  11. Was anything changed to SC-GEN Radial? The thrust seems to have increased a lot and the flames destroy anything near it (wings/tanks etc).
  12. Yeah, I use them for making screenshots and videos Looks nice though! I like the shiny grey effect of the LAS. [edit] For people interested in the TAC/USI LS patches: download TAC download USI
  13. I will PM you so we don't mess up this topic.
  14. There will be a menu on the right, you can use the different functions there (launch, land, rendevouz, dock etc). Check the mechjeb topic for more info. There is even a link to an online manual in the MechJeb tab (bottom). It takes some playing around to figure stuff out, and it looks like a lot of numbers, but you will only need a handfull to do the basic routines.
  15. Nice photoshoot Mage! STartin up KSP as I type... Is that EVE/Scatterer or are you using something else? [edit]Playing with it now... Maybe a 1.875 step size? [edit] Very cool!!!! This thing is very cute, nice and tiny, makes a great addition. Already love it.
  16. @Bill5 Install MechJeb, it will let you dock automatically, also rendezvous etc. If you check out how that works, you can maybe understand how to do it manually. I must admit that I only use mechjeb for this as I find it completely annoying to dock manually as you have no clear line of sight without relying on even more mods, so I use Mechjeb as fire-and-forget docking.
  17. @Bandus @mcirish3 @Kerbart Thanks for the answers! Some kind of life, or updating the 1.0 announcement to 1.0.5 at least would should some life signs. It's the first thing people see when they look for KSP. Scrolling to the bottom of the page for news means it's kind of not important enough to put it on the top where you see it when you come it. The sarcasm of "still in business" went over the heads of some people it seems, but meh.
  18. More like a RO dungeon gheghe...
