  1. Why do the good challenges occur when I'm on placement!!
  2. @dboi88, looking good, wondering what this mod will do? Also I swear I keep starting new pages!
  3. I've been doing assessments so not scanning the forums, not even April yet!!!
  4. So as stated earlier, weird but where the orbital view of kerbin was changed to be the mun... i remove all mods, delete game, redownload, play kerbin is normal, install all mods (fresh download) kerbin turns into mun. Install mods one at a time (taking 3 hours of real time) kerbin remains normal, and is now stable! (Insert expletive here!!!)
  5. Yep that's right (if that's the view from orbit and map mode)
  6. I wrote a clinical audit whilst fiddling with manoeuvre nodes around Duna, absent mindedly typed "patients retrograde to clinics" it kind of makes sense, but don't think most clinicians are up on their orbital mechanics! on a more annoying note: has anyone had any issues with kerbins orbital texture been replaced by the mun's? Any suggestions please!?! I've gotta delete and reinstall something like 50mods! :'(
  7. Well Last month I did quite a lot, but posting has been quite hard to find time to do. so I'm posting short logs to get back up to date here. The first (and probably next) are nothing special, but they're the back drop for a 64scaleinterstellar/nf powered extended habitation and colonization effort! Which is definitiely going to endup with me failing a lot! Although I've payed for years I've never really used MKS and interstellar, add in USI-LS,dangit, launch failure, keepfit remotetech and KCT and things start to get interesting! (also I've never really bothered with ISRU-ing cause stock system is quite easy to get around! now with 40 tonnes to LKO being the most my end of mid game agency can manage, those kethane, karbonite and ore deposits look pretty tasty!) Today(and spoilers) I gave the Intrepid (a reusable kerbin SOI expeditionary vessel, first of its class with two more in the making) its maiden voyage to the mun, to rendezvous with the mun station (Name Ideas needed!!!!) which has the first reusable lander, (Eagle Mk1) first docking and crew transfer and first landing on the mun! Docking a vessel like the intrepid require patience! And of course just at the critical moment dangit steps in and breaks a battery, which blares an alarm jolting me into ramming the station! As you can see the Munstation (again name needed) has room for expansion! and lots of it,with the 4 construction welding docking ports! It can support a crew of 4 for a year and a half. The intrepid is designed for a duration of 80 days with a crew of 5. Considering it was only Jeb, Bill and Bob on this trip everything was severely over designed! Barely visible under here is the Alcore (so glad it's back!!!) Mandatory group shot Set up the surface experiments (grab them from the dra round the back!)
  8. So after numerous restarts of careers (the saves keep dying, or time runs out) I'm giving up on narrative and just posting some of the thousands of photos I've collected! Current stuff mods Early game Avionics First Orbit in career More aviation More of the boring stuff to come, but eventually it'll come to present day (these photos come from a month ago till today) Interesting stuff like the Intrepid And what to do with engineers when they're been annoying
  9. whenever I do this I find myself humming the thunderbirds theme...
  10. thanks, kind of reminds me of my first Interstellar career, just loads of parts that somehow work together... II'll open up a skunkworks
  11. Hey, I'm planning a colonization effort and am using mks/oks for the first time, was just wondering if anyone had any tips (using tac lifesupport, kerbalism, remote tech and 64k)
  12. Coffee always helps!!! ( The NHS would have died long ago without it!!) that at bee pod is pretty cool though, I can see it landing on gilly!
  13. I wrote a clinical audit whilst fiddling with manoeuvre nodes around Duna, absent mindedly typed "patients retrograde to clinics" it kind of makes sense, but don't think most clinicians are up on their orbital mechanics!
  14. I can't rememeber who said it (probably in the blurb for 64k) but ksp stock planets are a 10th of normal scale, however the parts are scaled for a 0.64 scale earth! I would always recommend trying a bigger world, once used to stock!
  15. I thought there were forum rules against posting adult rated photos on here what is the orbital dv of this beauty?
  16. I found a similar thing, later launches of the vagrant series and lunar recoainsance probes used solid first then core, then second. (not posted mainly cause I have 500+images, think people might get bored, I know I was scrolling!!) The scale up from 1.25m, to 2.5m feels even more dramatic at 6.4 than it does normally at stock scale! HGRs 1.85m a perfect compromise!
  17. Part - 2 Ike test flight Calliope - Ranger 2 LBSI - Leia 1 Test Station 2 - Crew transfer 1 Eagle - 2 Station 2, Module 2 I think I'll leave the rest with a few shots This is a station science package return module, docking to Synergy node Next is an even bigger Lab module for station 2 Followed by an LBSI Leia for crew transfer Original plans for this station include two cyclotrons one to be posterior and one on the inferior construction port. The superior construction port would have been another solar array to power all that! I love the look of this capsule, feels somewhere between stock and space X! It was an absolute pain to get it up there without the full use of 3.75m tech as well! Not shown are the 4 failed editions where they either ran out of vertical speed and/or DV! I'm just a sucker for when something looks good and works... I'm sticking with 6.4 scale, but starting again due save game corruption! that's okay, it's in there somewhere but is probably hidden! Scale up actually is quite fun, most of the time in ksp you're launching stuff, so making that the challenge again is great (not to belittle anyone who finds standard scale hard/rewarding, everyone do what you like!)
  18. it's annoying cause back when I first started using it everything worked perfectly, then imgur updated something and it broke Anyway huge collection of pictures to wade through (about 30hrs+ gameplay) Part 1 Station 2 Launch Mun Station Core An almost identical mission was flown to minmus so I won't post it Vagrant 1a - Ares 1
  19. I've always felt thislooks like a LBSI-ised copernicus concept vehicle That central docking zone made me remember this image! I'm just wondering about the clearance to the solar panels, in the original images they're next to the habitation model? I'm guessing the bottom image is in launch configuration? I was wondering if a service bay somewhere might be a good idea, means you can hide all the lifesupport/other difficulty stuff) so to keep the beautiful exterior! On a different note, here is crew transfer to station 2 after being outsourced to a private firm called LSBI (love the Leia) And light transfer vehicle - Kappa These are part of what makes me excited about the Avalon (well that and being welsh, Ynys Afallon appears a lot in stories from my youth!)
  20. No idea, past two weeks its been truly awful, anyone got suggestions for a different image host?
  21. strictly speaking it happened last night, main career save bugged out, nothing working, NaN's everywhere, I don't have the desire (or time) to sit through the half hour boot to find out where the problems are coming from, so guess clean install, fewer mods (well nah) Prepare yourselves, when Imgur reboots, a massive photo dump is coming your way!
  22. Great thanks @RaendyLeBeau, thisall looks seriously amazing! (and is definitely the number one distraction from work...)
  23. Well I'm currently blitzing my save file (had a something go wrong and everything turn into NaN clean file for now) is there a link for a test version? (if you don't mind) Sounds fab, as it is this mod sounds great!!
  24. I keep this thread up just to stare at the pretty pictures! Looking great, really cannae wait to try this! I was wondering with the nuclear lightbulb and Nerva engines if there was a way to make it work with the interstellar versions?
