  1. didn't realize it would be tedious, ill try it tomorrow
  2. banned for being unsolvable (seriously though how do you solve a rubix cube?)
  3. CHALLENGE: collide two asteroids together at extremely high velocities danny2462 style! specifics A: relative velocity at moment of impact is greater than 1500 m/s as measured by the "target" velocity on the navball B: At least one asteroid must have an escape trajectory from its relative body Hardmode: both asteroids must be E class and collision velocity is greater than 2000 m/s danny2462's video (actual idea came from around 1:30) :
  4. So recently I've started going to other planets in ksp but I haven't been able to get a good periapsis for aerobreaking and always fly off into solar orbit or crash. I was hoping someone could provide a cheat sheet for a good place to put the periapsis for a capture. Ps: I know aerodynamics affect it so just give a range like between 10-20km
  5. Banned for having cake in username and NOT SHARING YOU MONSTER
  6. Banned for me not being able to think of a reason!
  7. Okay, does it tell me what the barycenter is named and does it need to be after Kopernicus and sigmabinary together?
  8. Is it possible to apply rings to a barycenter?
  9. Can ksp handle an object orbiting at the same distance the sun is from Sagittarius A? I was thinking about trying to add some of the nearby stars and known objects as an expansion to Real Solar System for those of us who want to use the warp drive EDIT: and if it can does anyone know what the suns apoapsis and periapsis are?
  10. I see in the OP you need a log to help people yet I have been unable to find the output.log or the player.log, just the ksp log which I heard dosent help. Can someone give me the path to the useful log
  11. Looks awesome! Can't wait for NH2.0. Also your doing great driving the hype train! Keep at it
  12. Nice mod! I'll have to mess around with this is it possible to make other objects orbit a barycenter without messing with it? Ex: minimus around kerbin-mun?
  13. Scatterer was an easy drag and drop for me, as for EVE I agree with @Andem you need both the EVE folder: which is the mod and boulderco which are the textures EDIT: RVE is designed to work with real solar system and be realistic and SVE is the RVE clouds on stock planets
  14. I'm also working on a comet pack (yay for comets) and what I am doing is making them come from somewhere just outside of jool or eeloo which gives them orbital pereoids of 4-6 kerbin years. As for long term comets, you can have them coming into the system within 5ish years of day 0 but have them come around every 50ish years. The early encounter would give people a chance to get prepared and have something there without leaving time warp running for an hour. I will also point out that it would be likely someone would have other mods installed as well. So you can just recommend a mod like better time warp for long term comets. Or include long term ones as a separate module to the mod. Just some thoughts good luck!
  15. Am I allowed to ask for an Oort Cloud or Sedna?
  16. Really wish I could send up a tug for everyone but my lowest part count gets to ~ 14 without docking ports (darn RCS thrusters) still looks like an awesome challenge! Good luck to... Well everyone And bring back awesome pics of the beach party on Laythe!
  17. I haven't seen many but it is easy enough to add it to the config file, but I hope more and more will be compatible, especially seeing as it dosent break the config if you have a KE node without it installed.
  18. Your profile pic is awesome! It made my day

    1. Enceos

      Enceos

      Thanks! :3

It was drawn and animated by the same guy who made the "Batmetal" video on youtube. Take a look if you haven't seen it yet

  19. Seeing As the poll is split almost 50:50 you could simply add it as an option so everyone is satisfied
  20. okay that's still a cool thing to imagine though. Do the fundamental forces affect everywhere, or are there places unaffected by certain forces and because they separated at different times, at the edge of the universe are there places with only one or two? I also noticed the kerbol system may have different chemical and nuclear properties than we know of, like how the "blutonium" in the end game generator gives a ton of EC/S and never seems to decay. There is also the super dense planets which may be simply made of something other than osmium, the ground never seems to have a scratch on it even after the biggest crash. Also is it possible kerbol has a superdense core or heavy corona resisting the heat as well as allowing it to burn hotter? those are my last questions about kerbol I promise sorry for cluttering up the thread with weird ideas EDIT: one last thing someone needs to make the eternal day thing happen in game it would be awesome!
  21. Quantum physics being weird again? i noticed we don't really know a lot about life yet we try to find it, though it's interesting to know the fundamental forces play a role What do you mean having some linkage to our universe? I thought they were all completely isolated. btw I like these conversations because I actually learn from them as opposed to looking it up and people assuming I have a Ph.D. In everything. Ty
  22. I saw somewhere you said you were dissatisfied with the stock ocean system, if you start developing something for that, can I make a feature request? If you do this can you add multi colored water? It would be interesting to have differently colored lakes and oceans. Great work btw!
  23. so weakless force stars can be hotter and still maintain hydrostatic equilibrium. the page also says that life as we know it wouldn't work, which could explain why jeb can go years without a bathroom break. this could actually explain a lot of things! EDIT: i just had an idea for a universe with a weak force, could kerbol be a post-main sequence star that had its outer layers blown off? EDIT2: i also just realized it is midnight for me XD goodnight everyone!
  24. but without radiation, all the planets wouldn't get any light nor heat. also i didn't realize there was a rule against deuterium straight to helium, interesting. could there be some force resisting the pressure of kerbols energy? and is it possible for a star to have a core of something other than hydrogen?
