  1. Until we do get docking from Squad, don't forget we have two brilliant docking add-ons now, Erkles warp clamp and the Orbital rendezvous and Docking assistant
  2. Oh gods yes, this a thousand times, too many games are violent as a matter of course and I'm tired of that. KSP is a breath of fresh air in this industry
  3. Hi Wazup, if you don't still have your zip file you will have to re-download the game, either the demo from the main download page, or the full game from your store download page.
  4. Thanks for the files kahlzun, and okay I'll move it
  5. Wow that was ages ago Yeah, fuel lines where changed, and now work opposite to the old way, plus decouplers no longer allow fuel flow and fuel won't flow between tanks that are attached radially to each other. Adding fuel lines will make those parts capable of fuel crossfeed again though.
  6. Don't forget to pay for it as well, it's $29,95 for a single user license.
  7. I just want to be the first to say, congrats for beating physics, and, can we have the craft file?
  8. Hi Rocketeer88, this is only possible with add-ons currently, if you take a look at the Orda pack, you'll find some new pods in there
  9. I would not worry about necro'ing until a thread has been dormant for a month, and even then if you add significantly to the thread it can be revived, but anything over three months should just be left alone no matter what. As for "space tree" ? Not a clue.
  10. Not that I am aware of Ancient, and though I'd kinda like to see it in 0.17+ as well, it has a memorial now and it's time may be passed. But if you want I can move this to Add-on requests......
  11. If it's that big a deal, I'll change it, (cracks knuckles) now lets see if I remember how to do this.....
  12. I think rhn94 wants something that will help with getting to the station, not a tool to dock once you are there. I remember Kosmo-not made a table that helped with orbital rendezvous, it told you when to burn to correct your orbit so you could put yourself in a higher or lower orbit in order to intercept/be intercepted by your target. I'll see if I can find it. Edit: Found it!
  13. In Gimp, you can use the magic wand (fuzzy select tool) to select all the white outside the face, then delete it. Then save as a PNG, viola! one face ready to paste
  14. I guess it depends on how it eventually works, both in KSP and in reality. A technology that would replace rockets would be no fun, and may also be beyond physics on the scale of small craft, any such FTL system may well be extremely unwieldy or even by necessity a stationary device in relation to the rocket, unable to travel within its own warp bubble. Basically, all those games that have jumpgates might have gotten it right all along. What this might mean for KSP is this, all our learned skills at orbiting would still be necessary, and not only would we have to build/move the gate out to the edge of the system for safety, we'd have to rendezvous with it. Also, if such gates were highly directional, each gate could only send you to a system currently within its arc/range, these limitations placed on such a late game tech would retain a lot of the fun of having to plan your journey, it would not be a magic, do everything device, we'd have to work at it to get anywhere.
  15. Except Nibb, that FTL is a goal of Squad and an engine exists. There will be other systems eventually, with new exciting challenges, and the FTL system will be a very manual thing, not easy to use. Of course, this is late game stuff, and subject to change, but it is something to look forwards to
  16. The 1 meter boosters aren't drawing from the main tank all the time then? They should stay fully fueled if the center tank is feeding them. If they are feeding the center tank, then once they are expended they will be useless, have you tried placing the fuel lines the other way round?
  17. Lets not turn this into yet another "to Mechjeb, or not to Mechjeb?" thread shall we? Those kind of threads are getting boring.
  18. It's possible to create Scenarios that can place your starting position wherever you like, a simple way to do this is to take a persistence file and place it in the scenarios folder. People can then exchange scenarios with their craft landed on various planets, then with a bit of editing you can place your craft there instead
  19. Hehe, the demo and earlier KSP's never had such luxuries as saving and loading, or even persistence, so every flight was fraught with danger of messing up or having the game crash
  20. Stock docking and orbital (and planetary, hopefully) construction will come Dehzz, and I have yet to try Erkles clamp though I will having read your post, I was just getting to grips with Orda, only the basics mind you, I like to hand-fly with no ASAS Orbital rendezvous in KSP has to be one of the most rewarding things you can do in a simulator, it's as much fun as a decent landing in a civilian aircraft sim, it's those last few minutes/seconds of edge-of-your-seat excitement that really does it for me. My wish is for the stock docking to be "manual", maybe with a targeting reticule and distance measurements etched into the glass, Apollo style You can sort of fake it if you use these.
  21. Hi Set271, welcome to the community The demo is not likely to ever see any more updates unfortunately, so we are stuck with the features that are there, though the scroll wheel should still scroll the stage list in the VAB, and Alt+Z* should still work. The alpha is worth it mate, honest Brain derp, it's Control+Z, thanks EndlessWaves.
  22. Rockets will flip over in an atmosphere if the center of gravity is wrong, think of an arrow or a shuttlecock, it is weighted at the front with flights at the back for stability. A rocket of similar design will fly down nose first, but with enough weight in the rear, it will fly down tail first for a controlled landing
  23. Actually, this is due to the chutes being designed for Kerbin, not Duna, Duna has a much thinner atmosphere so the chutes cannot open properly, they still provide a little bit of slowdown though. You will need landing rockets as well as the chutes, or even instead of, though the chutes do help keep you the right way up for landing. Ideally, a chute designed for the thin atmosphere would be used instead, maybe it's something we'll get at some point, though there's nothing to stop add-on makers from making a new chute
  24. The output_log.txt will contain everything that KSP does from startup to shutdown (or crash) including all that you see on the F2 debug display
