totm sep 2022 THUNDERBIRDS INTERKERBIN RESCUE

Is this mod still being updated? (you might be able to tell by my pfp I'd be interested) -
Beale, does this rescale patch still exist? I'd never even heard of it. https://github.com/friznit/Unofficial-Tantares-Wiki/issues/5

I tried with a soyuz scaled to 1.35 (would post but KSP crashed my computer as I am typing this) and as might be obvious the correct scale looked the best. I didn't suggest it initially because I was responding to the previous mention of an upscale and because 1.375 is not a standard size. Personally, I would not mind the off sizing for soyuz such that it looks better but I understand beale may not want to do that (with either scale up Soyuz is no longer Tanares size 1).

Beale, earlier in this thread someone expressed scaling up the new soyuz to 1.5m in diameter. A soyuz's main diameter of 2.2 becomes 1.375, which happens to be exactly in the middle of 1.25 and 1.5m. I believe 1.5 was suggested as a few parts in BDB use this diameter (Delta ii, Gemini capsule). I did some comparisons with other craft in ksp so people could share their opinions. Baseline comparison: Salyut: ASTP: Personally I think I prefer the oversized soyuz a bit more but the specific situation makes a difference in which looks better (I think the smaller one looks better on the rear salyut docking port lol).

I don't mean to be annoying by asking again but I don't think anyone noticed so IG this will be the last time I ask but I was curious about the possibility of ALSS as all the parts becides the habitat module itself are there. Its bascially a base built to the profile of the SLA petals but leaving the space for the LM descent stage. Update is epic!

Reviving an old thread here with this question, but I am curious as to how you operated the canadarms for the construction of the ISS. Did you have some sort of program to run inverse kinematics on it or did you painstakenly orient the arm to each part yourself? Also I believe you've added a canadarm1 elbow yaw joint that wasn't there irl! I imagine that did help a lot...

[Minimum KSP version - 1.12] Kerbal Inventory System (KIS) v1.29
Transformatron replied to IgorZ's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I guess technically a bug but it causes no problems. Placing the ground anchor using the stock construction mode gives it the ability to float. -

Mechjeb PVG ended up pitching me over 20 km too early and flying manually I could not achieve orbit with a Saturn V, gravity losses were too high. The speed at which my rockets take off is slower which makes me think somehow my gravity is wrong? Update: it seems to be working fine now, it may have been a mechjeb issue, although the BDB Saturn Ib still does not work well lol- 1,956 replies

Hi, just switched over from JNSQ to KSRSS 2.5x for my BDB/Tantares/ect saves, but I am finding it significantly harder to impossible to fly BDB/Tantares craft into orbit here than in JNSQ. This confuses me a bit as JNSQ is a 2.7 rescale of stock yet I have no issues there. Is this intended or have I installed something incorrectly? Thanks.- 1,956 replies

Rational Resources 3.0.2 [Sep 24, 2024]
Transformatron replied to JadeOfMaar's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Hi, I'm new to the mod and I can't seem to figure out how to extract gasses from the atmosphere. Is there a part that I just don't see?- 1,054 replies

Built a big Gemini S-IVB diameter today: 99% BDB with a bit of KNES, Tantares, and X-20 Moroz. 260" SRB scaled to match new Saturn parts. (There seems to be a glitch with the micrometeorite shield on Skylab, when I loaded in the craft a second time, the shield reappeared. Also, the RCS thrusters, the Gemini Ferry ones, have no plumes.)

Is there any way to launch vessels with the ore tanks full, or transfer resources stored in ore tanks between each other within this mod?- 1,054 replies

One more thing I noticed, although it isnt a bug, is that the Mira Docking Module seems too small when compared to the rest of the modules. IRL its noticably larger than Pirs/Poisk, but its smaller in Tantares. It isnt a big deal, but scaling up the module may make it look better.
