  1. Everything is Stock, including the missiles, yes. I have a single engine fighter with a stock rotating engine, but don't have the craft file on hand right now. I'll try and put it up soon.
  2. Hmm. It's Sunday, and we've only got one entry. The options are: 1. As @no_intelligence is the only entrant, he/she wins, and gets to choose the next aircraft to build. (This seems logical) 2. We extend this week until there is another entry, or 3. I make the next week's aircraft and we don't judge this one. (I'm not a fan of this option) Thoughts?
  3. That... thing... is monstrous! THE END IS NIGH! I threw that one together pretty quickly, it's not my best. Spectro varithingy cockpits don't look the best, but they blend into the cockpit from a distance, and I think it's worth it for the IVA. @Gman_builder 52, but I tend to ignore part count when building full scale replicas.
  4. If you were really dedicated, you could make it with stock hinges and put loads of SAS on the main body, maybe set to radial out with a vertical control point.
  5. The small blue bee looks amazing, I'm going to try and make it. I think I'll try a stock hinge cockpit.
  6. I just tried making a F-15 cockpit with spectro variometers, what do you think? It has a functioning IVA, which is barely obstructed at all.
  7. Yes. I need that, it's probably the only thing still annoying me about my Hornet. Landing gear like this would be great for older style replicas, like MiGs.
  8. Val's car is more important than the war! Will it have an ejection seat too avoid Platabbit-related injuries?
  9. Welcome @NotJeb! Going to the mun is easy, you've just got to build a thing, point it towards the blue stuff above you, then when the stuff turns black, point towards the gray round thing. NASA used this formula for planning missions.
  10. Hmm. I also have a Extreme 3D Pro, (let's start a club!) and I didn't have any of those issues. One issue i did have however, was that even after accepting the new inputs the game wouldn't recognise them without closing down and starting it up again. Try that, it might fix it. Good luck!
  11. For larger cockpits, I put 2 Mk2 inline cockpits together back to back, then connect them with seismitrons, or whatever the large dark grey science experiments are called. They have blue rounded edges along the sides, and you can offset the main part of the experiment inside the cockpits showing along a rounded edge connecting the two. I believe the seismitron edges are the closest match to cockpit blue in the game, and there is no white writing or obvious edges like with graviolis, as it's smoothed. (This also has the benefit of allowing unobstructed IVAs) Edit: as for what I'm doing in KSP, not much. I've been taking a little break to play Breath of the Wild, which is brilliant. But the thing I did was probably rework my Hornet's intakes. The old ones were, to be honest, pretty terrible. They were too small, too high up, and the casing was far too part count intensive and completely inaccurate. So I reworked it, replacing it with a fairing that, with offset trickery, appears to be open, with the outer edge about halfway in size between 0.625 and 1.25. I covered the opening up with the backs of generators to hide the indside of the fairing, and I had a much more accurate intake that also had the benefit of cutting 20 parts off my replica.
  12. Congratulations everyone! I WILL GET TOTM ONE DAY! Maybe if I built 1:1 replicas of all the active American fighters to go with my Hornet...
  13. Why can't you use the Dropbox link? If you need I'll put one up tomorrow, I can't right now.
  14. December 1984: Grumman X-29 "The Grumman X-29 was built as a testbed for forward-swept wings and canard control surfaces, and was notable for being the first aircraft to break the sound barrier with a forward swept wing configuration on the 13th of December 1985. Due to the inherent instabilty of the plane, the pilot was assisted by three onboard computers making forty corections a second. Contrary to expectations, this system limited the aircraft to relativly average manueverability, though it performed very well testing high angles of attack. The design was made possible by use of carbon composite wing materials to counter the twisting of the wing in flight. Operational History The X-29 flew from December 1984 to August 1992, with both aircraft flying a combined total of over 400 research missions. It was only the third forward-swept wing plane design to fly, with NASA reporting that it proved a number of new technologies. Both aircraft made are on display in the Research and Development Gallery at the National Museum of the United States Air Force and Armstrong Flight Research center, respectively. Landing is fine though. In flight it is very manuerable, but unlikley to spin or stall at normal speeds, though SAS is recommended to be left on, it simulates Fly-By-Wire stability.
  15. Not really, no. Stock plus BDA is the least excluding mod list.
  16. @dundun93 if you start another one, could I host a catergory that was simply Stock+BDA?
  17. I thought one of them was killed by a missile... oh well. Mine managed to stay in the air longer, so it counts!
  18. Yeah, doubt it'll do well, but it took out @dundun92's phantoms with no losses, so there may be some chance. And I always have my F/A-18C Hornet to use for stock aero if the MiG fails...
  19. I could make a stock+BDA catergory if you want. Edit: The last few posts didn't show up for some reason until I replied. @goduranus I'll be interested in seeing how your MiG-21 stacks up against my MiG-17! Wait...
  20. I joined planning to only use my account once to submit my entry to kethane station. As you can see, that plan worked out fabulously.
  21. There's nothing better than a good sci fi book, except maybe playing KSP. What are some of your favourite Sci-Fi books? I don't have one favourite, but if I had to name a few, I really enjoyed the Enders Game books, (read about half of them) The Amtrak Wars, (a really interesting series about three different nations with different tech levels interacting after a nuclear holocaust) and the Star Wars EU, particularly the Thrawn Trilogy, and the Yuuzhan Vong War. Oh, and Hitchhikers.
  22. Oh sorry, I've completely forgotten about updating this thread recently. You can find it here, I might do a full write up within a day or two. https://www.dropbox.com/s/81eyctlw3pqhcr3/F-Tech ASC-1 Floating Fortress.craft?dl=0
  23. YES! I finally saved up enough to buy The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild! Judging by reviews and other Zelda games, it might come close to matching KSP.

      ABANDONING KSP???????????????????????????????????

I play KSP on a desktop in my dad's office, but my Wii U is on my room. It just means I'll have something to play other than angry birds when I'm down in my house.

Ah, thank you for the data. Me I can't imagine anything like KSP (save for KSP)
