I'm a new player and I'm looking for tips and tricks
SiriusRocketry replied to Interstellar Yeet's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Awesome job! I'll help you if you want to learn how to land and get back, then on to next projects! Again, great work @Interstellar Yeet! you're a rocket scientist now, bud. Buzz me on Discord for your next plan, I'm really interested in teaching you about this wonderful game and seeing how you grow as a player. -
I'm a new player and I'm looking for tips and tricks
SiriusRocketry replied to Interstellar Yeet's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Hello, @Interstellar Yeet! If you'd like to chat on discord, drop your username and tag in a PM message, I'd be happy to help! Your Mun rocket might need a small tank and a little 0.625m tank under the science kit, so that would become an ascent stage. You could use this to minimise your landing stage and avoid lugging heavy hardware around. Put a couple of probes in orbit or bring a pilot to relay your comma to the KSC. Some stats for your ship would also help, feel free to message me either here or on Discord. Welcome to KSP! -
Include Mun and possibly Minmus, but restrict major part selection to the FLT 1, 2 and 4 tanks, little solar panels, mini docking ports and the Terrier/LV-T45. Sandbox only. Struts, clamps, radial parachutes and maybe the OKTO core with Z-100 batteries

Thanks very much, @The_Cat_In_Space! Hopefully I can deliver more on this next weekend, everyone. Thank you all for the support- guess that's all the encouragement I need for more updates! Cheers, and keep on throwing Jeb into the atmosphere at 3 km/s smashing giant planes into the VAB Kerbaling with total respect for the kerbonauts' lives!

Life At The Top (A KSP Racing Novel) (Chapter 42)
SiriusRocketry replied to DarkOwl57's topic in KSP Fan Works
Aquaria seems like an awesome track... I've finished the Owlia chapter of FTG, isn't Aquaria next? If so, @MiffedStarfish could I use it? -
Raptor's Craft Download Catalog - Tested & Proven

How did you place all those ion engines offset from the EV-5? -
0.9, 0.10 (don't remember exactly) Straight up, reached 30 km altitude with only basic control knowledge, then forgot to deploy parachute on the way down. First hours in the full game were spent madly firing SRBs at varying angles before reading a few tutorials. I bought the game on February 17th, and by the 22nd I had returned a 1-kerbal mission from the Mun. That, IIRC, was around 5 to 8 hours into the game.

About 2 to 3 hours when flying a KSP south to north pole mission in realtime. Very relaxing with good music. My most time on a single project is the 40+ hours I've sunk into my Theta program (kerballed manned exploration of Duna). Currently ongoing, we've constructed the Danube interplanetary spacecraft in Kerbin orbit, with over 4k DV, and flown Theta I and II which landed in the Midland Sea and just south of the northern ice cap, respectively. Funding has been confirmed for two, possibly three more missions.

I lost Val on a routine Skylark shuttle mission, along with rookie engineer Pondsey. A solid booster detached the wrong way, destroying the right wing and causing the unbalanced stack to rotate before disintegrating 28 kilometers up. That was three weeks ago (I still play in 1.3.1)

Yeah, I can see that... Pretty drastic measures for Jeb! Possibly killing the Krussians is pretty dangerous. Looking forward to Chapter 3!- 9 replies

"Kerbini IV" post-mission report
SiriusRocketry replied to DisKDrive's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
Interesting mission report - welcome to the forums. I like the Steam messaging between Haimon and Gene, how did you set that up? Regardless, good work and I hope to see more. -

F1 fans... Yay. Go Leclerc! Anyone got any low part count F1 cars? Or tips to make one?
