  1. There is something you can do. The game automatically backs up your game periodically. Inside the save's folder, there's another folder called Backup, which saves the last 5 auto backups. You can copy any of these to the parent folder, and then load that game from the Load Game function in the game. Or, you can name it persistent.sfs and the game will load it automatically when you open that save in the game. How did you delete it? From inside the game or did you delete the folder manually? If you did it manually, it may still be in your Trash.
  2. First - Moved to Gameplay Questions. Second - It's Alt + F12. Alt + F4 will close the game. That would be a frustrating mixup! Third - When I'm not sure what numbers to set, I just put the semi-major axis at 1. The game won't let you put something in orbit that's below a "safe" altitude, so it will automatically change it to the minimum for the planet/moon you're trying to orbit.
  3. I got KSP in 1.3, and while I have no way to verify the count, I would guess at least 3000 hours. If the castle has ever appeared for me, I didn't see it. So it's still just an urban legend to me...

  9. If you're within physics range, which IIRC is 2.2km, then you can switch using [ and ]. In flight, you can just press M to go to map mode and switch there.
  10. Yup. Just copy what's in the address bar when viewing the view and paste it into your post. Wait a second or two, and it'll automatically embed. This video is probably what got me to start getting interested into real spaceflight again.

  14. We do! We have 50. We have 5 Action Sets of 10 each. In the VAB/SPH, you need to check the "Activate Action Sets" on the bottom when editing the Action Groups. In flight, you need to click on the Wrench/Hammer icon in the upper right to switch between sets. Personally I prefer the UI of Action Groups ReExtended, which gives you 250 action groups, but it's nice to have the stock ones expanded.

  16. Hello @OrangeHead, and welcome to the forum! I like your suggestion, and I agree it would be a great addition to the stock game. Nothing fancy, just specific triggers for events other than pushing a button. The good news is that this does exist as a mod. So while we wait for something like this to show up in stock, we can at least get our automation fix
  17. Given that this thread is making predictions about a now-ancient release of the game, we're going to go ahead and lock it.
  18. If you hit ESC and then click on "Save Game", you can create a save point named whatever you want. The game will not touch it. The only save file that the game will automatically overwrite is your persistent game save file.
