Fuel and engine thrust slider?
Geonovast replied to MattCoast's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Part Action Window. It's the orange window that pops up when you right click on a part, aka the one in your screenshot. -
I think they're frequently too short. I see YouTubers all the time apologize for their videos being "too long" when they're maybe 10-12 minutes long. I want the in-depth details, not just skim over the topic as quickly so I can get to the next thing to skim over quickly. The Raptor and Aerospike videos are a very nice length.

He's one of my favorites. I've seen almost all of his videos, and have three shirts from him.

Some posts have been moved to the SpaceX thread. Let's try to keep it on topic, yeah? We have a SpaceX thread for SpaceX discussions. I'm trying to get back into KSP by making my own parts. I'm terrible at it, but at least these work!

Some posts have been merged in from the WDYDIKSPT thread. I, for one, was glad to see a scrub. Those lives are more important than "But I wanted to see a rocket launch today". Launches get scrubbed all the time for many different reasons. They're not failures.

I'm busy. Ask @Vanamonde

totm aug 2023 What funny/interesting thing happened in your life today?
Geonovast replied to Ultimate Steve's topic in The Lounge
It's been an interesting couple of days. We've been doing a spring cleaning purge, and my wife found a bunch of old pictures of her older kids that she thought were long lost. Saturday night yet another cat showed up at my door, having made the decision that it now lives with us. (Assuming the owner doesn't come looking for it, this will be the third time...). My new (to me) Lenovo Twist arrived today, and I already love it. I'm sure once I scrub that Windows nonsense off of it, I'll love it even more. (Didn't come with a charger, so waiting for that to arrive before installing a new OS). -
Beginning to look like a bell curve now. I don't play KSP very much any more, so when I do, the mod list seems to actually be getting smaller.
-
I've also been thinking of taking the afternoon off. At least if it's a scrub, the backup day is Saturday so it wouldn't be any additional time off..
-
I've been seeing that more and more. Had one that countered my offer at $0.24 below what it was listed for. At least they countered. I hate when I send an offer that I think is reasonable (20% off or less) and they don't even counter, just flat out decline. That button isn't free. They paid to put it there.

How can I save my rockets?
Geonovast replied to KrisKelvin's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
This is where it can be a little confusing. The game has a master "Ships" folder where it keeps the stock crafts. That's not where you want to put it. Each game you create is also called a "Save". Each one of those has a name, which you type in when you create the game. So when you're transferring a ship from one game save to the other, you want it in the exact same location relative to its game save folder. I have two saves: My Old Save, and My New Save. (Example done with a GoG Install on Linux. Store install on Windows will look different, but the process is the same.) So if I have a rocket called "Really Super Awesome Rocket" in My Old Save, I would need to find it in the game/saves/My Old Save/Ships/VAB folder And copy it into My New Save, in the same location After it's copied, you just go to the VAB, and click the Open button, and it'll be there. The game looks in that folder for craft files when you click the Open button, so you can copy crafts in all you want without needing to reload the game. The "different name" aspect is when you create a game save. If you create a new game save that has the same name as your old one, the old save will be overwritten and all of your crafts will be gone. -
How can I save my rockets?
Geonovast replied to KrisKelvin's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Not directly in a stock game, no. But as long as your new save has a different name, your rockets from the first save still exist. If you open up your KSP folder, go to Game->saves. In there is a folder for each save with the name of the save. Inside there is a folder called Ships. In there is two folders, VAB and SPH. Your ships will be in those two folders, depending on which building you built them in, and are stored as a single file with a .craft extension. You can copy and move these .craft files around as you wish, from save to save. You won't even need to re-load the game. Just copy the ship over, then hit Open in the game VAB/SPH, and the craft will be there! Another option is a mod called Craft Manager. This will let you access ships across saves. And it's super handy in other ways. I really like it. -

Liquid engine not working
Geonovast replied to exxaminer's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Which part of the rocket is the root part might be tripping it up. You can use the re-root tool to set the command pod as the root part and see if it makes a difference. -
Liquid engine not working

Welcome to the forum, @exxaminer Any chance you have the two circled decouplers swapped in your staging? -
Thank you squad and other developers!
Geonovast replied to 9.8 m/s^s's topic in Prelaunch KSP2 Discussion
Some content has been removed for bickering over how a word is spelled. No need to nitpick here, especially with our international group of users. Welcome aboard, @9.8 m/s^s! I completely agree. KSP has changed so much for me. -
This can be done with SmartParts You would put the brakes in an action group, and use a SmartPart... part to activate the action group upon staging.

The Name Change Thread (WARNING! ONE TIME ONLY!)
Geonovast replied to Souper's topic in Kerbal Network
That is no longer true. Please see this post. -
No, but the unwrapped one floating above Val's hand indicates it's likely.

Moved to Kerbal Network. I'm not aware of any outlines yet, but we will definitely have something ready when it releases.
