I'd love to know how these tech tree mods are made, I just don't know where to ask for that information. So I figured I'd ask here. You see, I'd like to make a custom tech tree myself for a cool playthrough thing I have planned for a while now -

I've been a user of BDAc for years now, are there any recommendations in terms of what I'd need to learn or re-learn for this BDA version as compared to BDAc? Especially regarding missile use and avoidance by AI. It's been a big topic for me as I love seeing both guns and missiles used in air-to-air combat- 670 replies

I tend to aim for a small lock-on range to make sure that they don't lock or have a hard time locking in the first place. I achieve this mainly through building small aircraft, but I'm sure the guys that participate in this competition are more experienced in this kind of thing. You can see what lock-on range your plane has by checking the BDA RCS tab in the lower right of the VAB and SPH. You can also opt to mount any number of ECM jammers. These pods jam the radar and, given that they're active can make it harder or even impossible to lock onto a target for the enemy aircraft.
