  1. I'd prefer it work both ways for the sake of consistency, and it could be an option as well.
  2. And this is what we get after thousands of hours of complaints about the lack of communication :p
  3. Dear God no. The last thing I need is to move my mouse over the lights icon, and right as I click the abort icon pops up instead. I meant it like in KSP 1, it pops out to the side or from the top. Why would I suggest that it overlaps another button?
  4. What good is this question when we know people are going to use it? +1 Given that people usually wire it to do something that ends the mission I.E. escape boosters and parachutes, it should probably tuck itself away until mouseover as well.
  5. I love that the development of the game is going to be more linear than it was with KSP 1 - things like multiplayer and thrust-in-warp aren't being put on a backburner for the sake of spontaneous ideas and ad-lib, and the developers for this one aren't implicitly planning on relying on the work of modders for a complete experience. However bad things get, I can at least say they've not waited till interstellar before establishing something as (relatively-) simple as an art direction.
  6. I don't know, I just did one and it went pretty smoothly? Try the bigger wheels. Nah, I'll wait until they've fixed them! Not helping your case
  7. I think the fact an argument spawned over a couple Kerbals not appearing is proof people at this point are scraping the barrel for muck to throw at KSP 2. What part of our discussion insinuates that I intend to throw muck at KSP2? I've always been an advocate for this game's future and I remain so now. Please do not twist my words. Thanks. Huh. I seem to remember quoting PDCWolf and not you. I'm not sure where you came from.
  8. I think the fact an argument spawned over a couple Kerbals not appearing is proof people at this point are scraping the barrel for muck to throw at KSP 2.
  9. Just because it's funny the first one or two times (or forever to KSP's inane "don't fix the Kraken" meme culture) doesn't mean it's good for gameplay.
  10. A lot of people credit their career choices to a lot of things and KSP 1 isn't the only thing ever in existence that's inspired careers. A. They're not belittling it, this is just the state of the game. B. They literally said KSP 1 still has life in it, and they didn't even mention KSP 2, so I'm not quite sure why you're addressing an anti-KSP 1 attitude that doesn't exist in their responses. An endless number of publicity stunts like this have been pulled off in different industries and KSP 1 isn't special in this regard.
  11. You've not been around for long but the community itself certainly lost its spark.
  12. That's what we're trying to do; we know it's an uphill battle and it'll be a while but we have to try. I'd say time is better spent on battles that aren't impossible to win
  13. Which we all know they're going to dismiss. Again, they're companies, not your mates. Never said that It's a valid standpoint
  14. This isn't adding anything worthwhile to the conversation. @Great Liao is right. "This isn't adding anything worthwhile to the conversation" Then perhaps explain how I'm wrong, instead of siding with (in a manner that does not add to the convo and merely serves as a verbal like) someone who has trouble speaking without sprinkling insults in Fiddledidee, guess Squad isn't perfect after all
  15. That sounds good to me. Key word, to me. An obvious flaw of the "best of both worlds" compromise (barring optional difficulties) is that you'll get extreme pro players complaining that the feature is too light, and if you then nudge the compromise in their favour, you'll get newer players who don't feel as invited to improve their ability to play. This is a convo that has happened a million times before, so I'll just advise you that this is a road that's been walked down before and that the devs themselves have likely had hundreds of conversations about this very balance.
  16. Take Two's not dying though? Its fate certainly doesn't rest on KSP 1/2 if anything. But it's not clickbait. period. Yes it is. exclamation mark. The community is crap though and that's not hyperbole, if that's any good at catching attention.
  17. Please explain, in what universe does this contribute to any possible discussion.
  18. ...which is a corporation and not your mate from down the street who'll politely oblige to any polite request. This is how clickbait started. Please don't.
  19. I'd say the corrosive and pessimistic community nowadays is more incentive than anything to leave, but whatever floats your boat
  20. Having separate but identical tanks for methalox and methane adds nothing to the game, so consider me on-board with this.
  21. "Well, if you consider the heating effects from the indev screenshots to be part of the game, which they are, then of course they started." FTFY.
  22. You're literally wrong. It's one thing to complain all the time, it's another to literally dismiss what the devs are posted for the sake of framing KSP 2's state as worse than it actually is.
  23. Or people just want to share their gameplay without KSP 2 Doomers arriving to spoil the vibes
