  1. @TheWeeklyKerman You should include some stuff from this forum in the newspaper as well, people posting awesome KSP stuff isn't confined to Reddit
  2. This is for the NS-14 mission, correct?
  3. Sorry about that @adsii1970. To return to the topic, I'm glad that @somerandomperson has decided to stay. Of all the internet communities I've been a part of, this is by far the most respectful, civil and intelligent.
  4. @CSX6400 Welcome, and nice craft! Certainly better than my interplanetary ships, I just stack a few hitchhikers on top of a nuclear stage and call it a day
  5. There are COM/COT/COL indicators in the EVA construction mode, but no symmetry modes. I don't think it would make much sense. And if you're going to upgrade to 1.11, I'd recommend you wait for the .1 bugfix patch. There are some annoying bugs at the moment.
  6. Seemed like it was less than full duration, so they're probably going for a second attempt. However, the road closures for that have been cancelled due to bad weather.
  7. It's unlikely the game will be optimised for one specific component. We do know KSP2 will have a large improvement in performance over KSP, though.
  8. This is big: https://thehill.com/opinion/technology/533382-nasas-europa-clipper-has-been-liberated-from-the-space-launch-system Europa Clipper is no longer mandated to launch on SLS - it will now only launch on one if it is available. This opens the door for commercial launch vehicles - maybe a Falcon Heavy with a kickstage, or even distributed launch.
  9. The devs have specifically said that there would be no FTL propulsion in KSP 2. Of course, some of the sublight drives advertised are little more than concepts, and may or may not actually work in real life, but they're not outright magic like a warp drive.
  10. I agree, but I doubt there are many people here who haven't at least heard of Matt, even if they don't watch his videos. He's one of the most well-known KSP content creators.
  11. Elon said in his 2019 Starship presentation that the Super Heavy grid fins would be made from stainless steel. It has a lower melting point (1450 C for 304L steel vs 1668 for titanium) but it should do the job. And casting titanium grid fins of the size required would be prohibitively expensive.
  12. In my current career almost everything is lofted by reusable SSTO rockets. They're fun. I do also have small expendable SRB launchers, but they don't get used much.
  13. Yeah, 1.11 is a little buggy. Hopefully a bugfix patch comes soon. And I'm glad we could help!
  14. I've used neither of them but I'm pretty sure TAC doesn't have all of the fancy radiation and Kerbal health stuff.
