I see you quite a lot, 7/10.

Take a look at this: It's not like this has fixed what Take 2 has done, but it's good to hear from a developer that the direction of the game has not been damaged by the move from Star Theory to Intercept Games, at least for now. This all but confirms that microtransactions won't be in the game, which is a very good thing.

For me at least, the negative feelings towards Take 2 - particularly the way I feel about their questionably ethical actions - are not gone at all. I still feel like this was a huge injustice towards Star Theory, and I doubt that its former employees, especially those who were left without a job, feel very good about it either. Probably the only reason why Nate and the other core members of the dev team moved to Intercept immediately was because they are certainly the most enthusiastic about it and they felt that this was the only way they could continue working on their brainchild. At least, this reassures me that Take 2's takeover and mistreatment of Star Theory's employees has not affected the direction and spirit of the game - at least for now. While it may be small next to Take 2's evisceration of Star Theory, at least we - the potential customers - know that we (probably) won't be getting a product marred by the messy office politics that happened during its development. Nate's input doesn't immediately sweep away what Take 2 has done - far from it - but it does help, a little.

docking and transfer crew
RealKerbal3x replied to Joe Kerbal's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Crew modules have a maximum occupancy so if both of your docked craft are full of Kerbals then you won't be able to transfer any crew around unless one or more of the Kerbals leave the modules and do an EVA. -
docking and transfer crew
RealKerbal3x replied to Joe Kerbal's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
@Joe Kerbal You can right click on one of your crew capsules and click Transfer Crew. It should come up with a menu prompting you to choose a Kerbal to transfer. Once you've selected one of your Kerbals you can click another one of your capsules to transfer the Kerbal to that part. If the part is available for crew transfers it should be highlighted blue, otherwise it should be orange. -
I've never played it, so I have no idea if I like it or not. TUBM thinks SLS is better than Starship for some reason.

I can't fire liquid engines
RealKerbal3x replied to Henri's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
@Henri Make sure you have a tank with both liquid fuel and oxidiser in it. If you have a tank with only liquid fuel it won't work. Also, make sure you have a command pod, like a probe core or crewed capsule. If you don't have any control you won't be able to fire the engine anyway -
I can only really say what everyone else has already said. Thank you for the reassurance, Nate - it's good to know that you and the rest of the KSP2 team still has the best interests of the game and the community at heart. The article really got everyone worried, and you've at least alleviated those fears. But knowing what Take 2 has done in the past, and the extra degree of control it now has over KSP2, still makes a part of me worried - worried mostly about its questionably ethical actions. It's so easy to hate a faceless corporation like Take 2. But knowing that there are actually people behind the development of this game who actually care about making KSP2 a true successor to the original helps a lot. Thanks so much for your input - it's lessened my skepticism quite a bit. Let's hope KSP2 can truly live up to the hype.

totm nov 2023 SpaceX Discussion Thread
RealKerbal3x replied to Skylon's topic in Science & Spaceflight
I feel like that new bulkhead is SN7's, or maybe even an early component of SN8. -
[Moderator note: this post is in response to this one. Posts were merged from another thread.] Uh...no, it's not dead. We might be sad and disheartened by Take2's actions but the game is still being developed. In fact, one of T2's motivations for gutting Star Theory and creating the new studio was probably having more control over its development so that they could make the team finish it. This may be unethical, but it hasn't killed the game. Also, have you ever posted anything that's not about KSP being supposedly 'dead'? You've created numerous threads like this in multiple subforums, and the consensus of everyone who has ever replied to them is that no, KSP is not in fact dead.

[Minimum KSP: 1.12.2] Heisenberg - Airships Part Pack
RealKerbal3x replied to Angelo Kerman's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Well, it could be up to your airship then. It may be too heavy to fly - you can open the HL window in the VAB/SPH and it'll tell you whether it'll fly or not. -
[Minimum KSP: 1.12.2] Heisenberg - Airships Part Pack
RealKerbal3x replied to Angelo Kerman's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Do you have Hooligan Labs installed? It's required for the airships to fly. -
This time, SpaceX's Demo-2 was on the front page, which made this fairly easy. NASA Space exploration Spaceflight Orbiter (simulator) Kerbal Space Program 5 links! I believe that is a record for this thread

RealKerbal3x replied to Skylon's topic in Science & Spaceflight
That was fantastic! I couldn't watch it live as it was at 2:25am for me, but that booster landing coverage looked great. What a debut for JRTI after its refit And we got the satellites deploying on live video, too! Good times all around! Anyway, it appears that I have made it my duty to post NASASpaceflight Boca Chica videos when they're released, so here's the new one: -
Will you boycott KSP 2 if T2 throws it under the bus?
RealKerbal3x replied to Bej Kerman's topic in Prelaunch KSP2 Discussion
I'll repeat the same sentiment: I'm not buying KSP2 on day one anymore. I'll wait for reviews and YouTube gameplay videos and make a decision then. -
How to Read The G'S Bar
RealKerbal3x replied to Little Kerbonaut!'s topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
@Little Kerbonaut! Each little line corresponds to 1G, and the maximum G force that the scale can show is 15G. -
Huh. This is a bit disheartening. So the development is directly controlled by T2 now? That can't be good - remember how scared everyone got when we got their new EULA in early 2018, and that wasn't ever really enforced. Now that it's in-house rather than being contracted out to an indie developer, a lot of the values that made me fall in love with KSP could go out the window, as others have said. We could be peppered with cosmetic DLC, we could have barely any modding support, it could even become an Epic Games exclusive or whatever. This game could still be amazing. I hope you can do the sequel to my favourite game of all time justice, Take 2. But from now until release, I will be watching with scepticism.

Sadly, it's at 2am for me, and I don't consider a Starlink launch exciting enough to get up super early in the morning -

RealKerbal3x replied to Skylon's topic in Science & Spaceflight
I was just looking back at the livestream of the booster return that I linked to yesterday and they were discussing whether B1058 will be reused. I can see both sides; on one hand, it would be awesome to see that NASA worm fly again on a uncrewed resupply mission; on the other hand, once they get the capsule back, combining the booster, capsule and a dummy second stage would make for a fantastic museum exhibit. What does everyone else think? Also: ooo, new Starship legs -
Cool lander! Though a bit of constructive criticism - even if you had landed on Laythe, would you have really needed a Vector engine? Seems a bit OP

What is a dumb thing you can do with magnets?

Put one on top of a table and one underneath. If you can move the bottom one surreptitiously enough, people will think you're using the Force
