Iota is not inclined. Ceti is though, like Minmus. dV requirements for Iota are similar to stock, just the transfer times take longer. It also has much less gravity, actually making it easier than the Mun. The launch site could obviously be changed. I was not thinking of a carbon copy of GPP either folks.
-
It didn't have to be difficult, just different. Think Galileo's Planet Pack, for example. I get why they are doing it, doesn't mean I have to like it.
-
In my opinion the less it has in common with the first one in terms of parts, planets, etc, the better. I want a new game with new things to explore. Starting in the same planetary system (Kerbol) actually annoyed me a bit as a result, but since everything is going to be re-designed it is generally going to be okay I guess, but since the planets are going to have similar gravity, atmospheric pressure, etc, it really does take a bit away from the gameplay since I have already solved those problems involving those variables.

Although to be fair no recent gameplay footage of conditions which could cause bendy rockets. Don’t expect we will see that again one way or the other till the marketing campaign starts again.
-
Keep in mind that gameplay footage was from when the game was being developed by Star Theory. At this point I pretty much ignore everything from that time period because who knows what has changed between now and then. I would not be surprised if bendy rockets are no longer a thing in KSP2, although I wouldn’t be surprised either if they still were too. Entirely depends on design decisions that may have changed during the studio change.

It’s truly a wonder games ever existed at all before the Internet, since early access is apparently a prerequisite to make a successful one.

So there are two options here: 1) You think you can turn off all the heat generation of a nuclear reactor like a light switch. or 2) You plan to burn your engines practically forever. Which is it?
-
Not sure what you are referencing with this. The NERV overheating is easily avoidable with a single radiator, which is hilarious unrealistic considering the heat a nuclear reaction creates. Things exploding is an issue with the heat system and time-warping, which shouldn't be an issue with KSP 2 since you need to burn during timewarp as a core game mechanic.

This mod could help you:

Ew, I sure hope we don’t.

Is there a way to store several crew reports?
MechBFP replied to glorsh66's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Hah, I completely forgot that was a thing you could do I have had that mod installed for so long now. So ya you can do it without mods, but it is annoying busywork and there is literally no point in not using that mod if you are on PC. -

Yes, but you must install this mod. -
Save transfer
MechBFP replied to Rutabaga22's topic in Prelaunch KSP2 Suggestions & Development Discussion
100% no, they are going to be completely different games. This is KSP 2, not KSP 2.0. -
Or you know, being able to burn while in time warp.

Devs insight about KSP2 bug (© ShadowZone)
MechBFP replied to Vl3d's topic in Prelaunch KSP2 Discussion
Don't make a bunch of technical assumptions based on an off the cuff remark. Similar terminology could be used for communication purposes among the team members but the actual technical implementation could be quite different from KSP1. The only thing you can take away is that they auto generate drag cubes like in KSP1 (but the implementation of that could still be wildly different from KSP 1, and they might not even be "cubes" either). -
Those DLC are for KSP1, not KSP2. Your question is equivalent to something like “Will we get the Tribunal and Bloodmoon DLC from Elder Scrolls 3 for free in Elder Scrolls 4 or will we have to pay for it?” Its a nonsensical question. They could recreate that exact same content for KSP2, but don’t count on it.

That’s the problem though, everyone thinks they are well meaning. -
In game bug reporting
MechBFP replied to Klapaucius's topic in Prelaunch KSP2 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Similar yes, something that at least requires the user to create a new account/profile/whatever outside of the game before making a report. You’ll still get some garbage, just like the KSP1 bug tracker does, but it greatly reduces the amount of trash as most users have to be confident enough in their report that they will actually spend the extra time required to report it. -
When you ask something once it is a question, when you keep asking it, and refuse to stop asking it until you get an answer, that is a demand. "Demand: to ask for something forcefully, in a way that shows that you do not expect to be refused."
-
The longer the better in my opinion. Just to let it sink in that this type of tactic doesn't work and never will.
-
Good communication is of course telling you exactly what you want to hear, when you want to hear it. A very professional approach indeed.

In game bug reporting
MechBFP replied to Klapaucius's topic in Prelaunch KSP2 Suggestions & Development Discussion
The main goal of such a feature isn't actually to fix bugs but to simply appease the player. You have no idea the amount of complete and total garbage a system like that creates. Maybe 1 in every 100 reports is even worth looking at, as the other 99 reports are either user created problems, unrelated problems, or user ignorance. You have to understand that if a system like that exists, the vast majority of reports will never even get looked at by a human. It can, at best, find an obvious problem that a lot of people report through text analytics of the pool of reports. Generally you as a developer are probably going to know about those issues anyway. -
All game development for at least the last 20 years has been like that.
