[Minimum KSP version - 1.12] Kerbal Inventory System (KIS) v1.29
VoidSquid replied to IgorZ's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Many thanks @IgorZ, and Merry Christmas! As per CKAN, KIS 1.27 ist backwards compatible with KSP 10.10.1, yes? -
Doing the obvious, but it still seams, many people aren't following these basics.

I couldn't disagree more. My past made me the person I am. Without future, life would be insult in itself. You're probably from a different generation I am, have way different experiences, values. I kindly ask you to stay away from this thread and leave me be.

Hi fellow Kerbonauts, I've a little cosmetic issue with my CKAN, the first column looks a bit garbled: The column header used to be "Inst", but now the text and the checkbox are kind of merged together, and I can't figure out how to untangle it. Changing the column with doesn't help. What did I do wrong here? Thanks in advance, and as I said, it's a purely cosmetic issue, not really important, it just looks weird.

[1.8] EnvironmentalVisualEnhancements [1.8.0-2]
VoidSquid replied to Waz's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I shortly peeked in to KSP 1.11.0 (had to revert to 1.10.1 due to bugs), but from what I could see, EVE worked fine for my installation. Just because a mod is not officially updated doesn't mean it won't work with a new KSP version, updating a mod purely to have a new version number still requires the mod creator/maintainer to put time and work into it, and for purely cosmetic reasons it usually isn't worth it. -
Hmm... reminds of an issue I once had with a space station. I somehow must have hit the wrong buttons and did set a trim, resulting in the vessel rotating slowly first, then faster and faster. As soon as I entered time warp, the rotation was gone, only to start again the moment I disabled time warp. If you're on PC, try ALT X, that resets any trim. Can you load the save game and the vessel in KSP 1.10.1? Same issue there? And there is a confirmed bug about a very weird behaviour of Kerbal doing EVA, see here https://bugs.kerbalspaceprogram.com/issues/26908 , maybe you found something related/similar.

All good, I'm fine with how things were with 1.10.1 Everything worked for me with that version, no need to upgrade/update and introduce new bugs. Latest version compatible with 1.10.1 then, is it 1.8.2? 1.9? Lesson learned: Never, ever do upgrade to a new KSP version until making sure that there aren't any new game breaking bugs.

[1.12.x] Filter Extensions (No localization)
VoidSquid replied to linuxgurugamer's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I'd agree, but actually these parts do have a category assigned: FuelLine - category = FuelTank GrapplingDevice - category = Coupling smallClaw - category = Coupling -
Once, just once, an update that doesn't break the game, introducing game breaking bugs? Too much asked for a Christmas present, I get it.

Hi @HebaruSan, just a brief question: I upgraded from 1.10.1 to KSP 1.11, updated some mods to that version, had to revert to 1.10.1 due to newly introduced bugs with 1.11.0. Now I get this warning The two updated mods are in fact downward compatible with 1.10.1, not a problem, but how to get rid of this warning? I could add 1.11.0 to the list of compatible mods, yes, but that would offer me too mods that might not be downward compatible with 1.10.1. Hence I'd like to have something like a simple checkbox like "don't ask me for these mods again", is that possible?

Mysterious EVA acceleration bug
VoidSquid replied to geekus42's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, unmodded installs)
What the heck... yes, I can confirm this. Another serious reason not to upgrade. Thanks, guys! EDIT: as per https://bugs.kerbalspaceprogram.com/issues/26908 , this is now a confirmed bug. -
Interesting... reminds me of an issue I had with my last career when I removed Kopernicus (had it as a prerequisite for SVT) : all my solar panels lost their action group assignment. Turned out, Kopernicus kind of cloned the original ones to insert it's own mechanisms for orienting the panel to different light sources. Maybe something similar happens here?

Just one wish: less bugs.
