Improved Runway Lights
royying replied to Stoney3K's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
How about add a Tier 4 runway? Tier 4 = Tier 3 runway + guidance light That makes Tier 4 runway a optional upgrade -
Squadcast September 8th: 1.2 Experimentals Unveiled!
royying replied to AlphaMensae's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Can we make a tracking station in other planet? I remember that in RT, Kerbin-Jool communication have high delay. If we already colonize our 2nd home-Laythe, why don't make a tracking station to take over Jool-system space traffic?- 51 replies

I think the mk2 series need a XL size cargo bay like the Airbus Beluga
-
I suggest the full size wheels should able to roll in low speed (e.g 1 m/s) when retracted Otherwise, we can't move it out from ramp

I know the higher AoA theory, but turn red on 59KM atmosphere edge??? I can't raise AoA very much in the edge of atmosphere , the plane will bound back to space. We can't add ablator on it nor use radiator to cool it down, it just hope less... Could Squad just raise the heat tolerance of MK2 cockpit or offer some counter measure part to make our life easier?

mysterious force acted on craft
royying replied to royying's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
I don't have KJR , Do you know what else mod also are the amplifier ? -
After the unity upgrade, can Squad add the atmosphere back to eeloo?

I found that my craft orbit will change by itself, when the craft in vacuum and all engine and RCS are off. For example, when the craft near the Pe, the Ap will keep changing attitude . If the Ap is very high, attitude will change more significance. It feels like a force acting on the craft Does anyone had encounter this situation?

I think ion rover is the only type of rover that can work on low gravity body before 1.1, so it is not a challenge for me

Spaceplanes need to handle heat when reentry, especially the leading part, but deploy a Thermal Control System radiator is not possible when reentry So, I suggest a new part call Thermal Circulation System, it like the Thermal Control System but without radiator, the "pipe" circulate the heat to whole craft to avoid the head of the spaceplane overheat And because it don't have radiator, it can be a inline part and not create extra drag.
-
I also think the MK2 cockpit have low heat tolerance, sometimes the F10 thermal display turn the cockpit to red in the edge of atmosphere, way before the burning effect start. And if I increase the AOA in that moment, the spaceplane will start to climb up, really hard to predict the landing point

Are you using patcher to update? I found that it will rewind some parts to old version.

Part Obsolescence
royying replied to thunder175's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Rather than make part obsolete, I suggest part upgrade. Like the unshielded solar panel can't retract at beginning, it should be retractable after player unlock the shielded solar panel. I had put a unshielded solar panel inside a shuttle cargo bay before, but it is not retractable, force me change it to shielded one, it is wired to put a shield inside a shield(cargo bay) -

Kerbal Space Program 1.1 Hype Train Thread.
royying replied to Whirligig Girl's topic in KSP1 Discussion
10 hours without game crash? That was awesome -
I am a beginner in career mode, I want to know how to maximize science point harvest except recover the craft every time, it is too costly. Now I dock the science probe to my orbital lab station and put all science result to lab data Does 1 data point equal to 1 science point after the lab processed? and how much science point will I loss with this method? Thanks

You need to compensate for the occupational deafness of the kerbals
