Thank you everyone for 6 Amazing years of BDB! You’ve completed hanged KSP mods forever and set the new standard for modding. Keep up the good work! Saturn SA-1 SA-1 was the first launch of a Saturn I, and the first launch of a vehicle from the Saturn family - so certainly a historic launch! Back in 1961, NASA didn’t use all up testing like was done for the Saturn V, and basically every rocket nowadays. Instead, only the S-I was active, with the S-IV being a dummy stage with a Jupiter nosecone topping it off. The Flight Objectives of SA-1 were simply to test the structure of the launch vehicle during a suborbital flight I think this is one of the best replicas I’ve made - It’s come out so good! I also have a video of the launch that I’ll post soon, but I want to sync it up with the actual launch Audio, the one where all the engineers scream “GO!”

Hey everyone, here’s a bit of an update on Freedom Since Sunday, I’ve been busy, and My computer hasn’t been too cooperative either. I haven’t had the time to launch the next Mission to Freedom, and when I did, KSP auto updated and corrupted the save. Luckily I had a backup. I’m also getting my new computer very soon, so that will be a delay to Freedom. Also, I’ve started learning Blender with the end goal of possibly/maybe starting KSP modding with another person. All of this is to say that Freedom will be delayed and it might be a small while until the next launch, but I’m not quitting. I’m committed to this and I’m gonna try and get the missions done when I can and as quick as possible. Thanks

Would you or @CobaltWolf not possibly think about making the ETS Artemis landers either before or after Atlas Semi-revamp? Firstly, the MAH mod is incorrectly scaled for the Apollo parts, especially the new ones. Secondly, the artstyle matches the old Apollo parts and it would look 100x better in the new Apollo style. Finally, it doesn’t seem like it would be such a big project, as it’s only a small/medium set of parts. I know BDB isn’t an ETS mod, but I think it would be a really nice addition, considering that there is a lack of nice lander parts in KSP, and it could even be Used as an Altair by slightly kitbashing, for people wanting to recreate Constellation. And it would go great with the Apollo block V parts and the Saturn H03 10m barrel fairing (The one it launches in) I think it would just be a great all around addition to BDB, but just imagine how good this would look in the new Apollo artstyle!! Edit: I just forgot to say that judging by how fast you make parts Zorg, you could probably get through these in a week or less!

Node 2, Harmony. January 1990 Relations across the Atlantic had been once again improving, and the European Space Agency was invited into the Freedom program to design and build a new European Laboratory for Freedom, the Columbus module . In return for providing the launch service for Columbus and delivering it to Freedom, the ESA were asked to finance the construction of two Multinode hub modules. NASA were to build the modules themselves, funded by the ESA - a joint venture Named Unity and Harmony, they would be multipurpose modules, with general equipment such as crew quarters, a galley and a few science racks aswell as some external science palettes. Each were fitted with 4 radial docking ports and two Axial ports for Apollo / AARDV docking and Future expansions to the station. Unity was launched earlier in the construction of Freedom, just a month after Challenger. But now a year and a half later, it’s Harmony’s time to launch. Umbilical retraction, T-25s T-9...8-Ignition sequence start-6... Launch Commit, Launch Commit, Liftoff! Tower cleared! Roll program complete, command the start of the pitch program T+ 30s, flight data is nominal Throttling down for Max-Q T+ 2 minutes, J-2S Chilldown initiated Approaching S-IF burnout Separation confirmed...we have good indication of Ullage and retro motor ignition J-2S Ignition Pitchover has Started T+ 4m25s. Spacecraft health is nominal, good indication of no external damage. We also have a nominal SECO and J-2S burn. The vehicle is clear to progress to orbit and rendezvous T+ 8m, S-IVB burn is close to complete Burnout SLA jettison Harmony separation The spacecraft now enters its coast phase Phasing burn 01 After a day, Harmony begins its approach to Freedom 200m out Expedition 4’s CSM, Ares, can be seen docked to the Zenith port of Unity Views captured from the Multiple docking cameras on Harmony Harmony continues its final approach 50m 10m Soft Capture complete We have confirmation of a Successful docking Next time?!?! I upgraded the S-IF core over the weekend using tweakscaled BDB Titan LDC parts - I think this looks much better than what I’m currently using! Have a great day my dudes

Hey sorry to bother you guys, but does anyone know of a mod for the ETS Minotaur parts, or at least something similar? KNES has “Minotaur” parts, but they are just a cargo version of the MRK named in honour of the Minotaur. However I’ve seen this floating around. It was posted to the KSP subreddit like 7 years ago. If anyone knows what mod was used here that would be a great help for the next Mission to Freedom - Thanks

Hey I thought I would ask here since I haven’t asked before, but would anyone like to join the crew for Space station Freedom? So far we’ve had 3 full crews of custom Kerbals go to the station, and a 4th to be launched today. If you haven’t already signed up, just reply to me what you want to be named, and I’ll put you on the mission list Yes this is relevant to BDB because of these nice photos- definitely BDB related
