  1. nah it would be cooler if there were actually cities with tall buildings and all that would also really nice to see the cities light up at night
  2. So the function basically the same as a submoon would but on a larger scale. like if you look at IC 1101 it is so big i wouldnt be suprised if it has some large satellite hiding behind it we cant see that might have tinier galaxies orbiting it. they might be rare but i guess the laws of physics can permit them just like submoons.
  3. could you make it so that smaller and farther objects are less visible. in real life you cant see uranus or neptune in the sky because they are too dim but i can see urlum and neidon shining in the sky even though they are so far away and i can even see the tiny dwarf planet plock
  4. is there any plan to make an outer planets mod for KSP 2 because i couldnt live in KSP 2 without my outer planets
  5. i use it all the time. i couldnt survive without im sure my bases would have already been finished by kraken attacks if it werent for that mod
  6. parking brake. up to date for 1.12. u can just press "engage parking" brake and the vessel gets frozen and it works for rovers and even boats.
  7. galaxies unbound adds 10+ star systems i believe so i think its viable to pack some star systems like that into a maybe 5 ly radius. it could be like the pleiades cluster with some prominent blue stars and smaller yellow and orange stars maybe some black hole lurking around and maybe even a rogue planet which would be an extremely hard target but an awesome pitch black one indeed
  8. there are just normal star clusters out there with 10-100 or so stars and they can be located inside nebulas (maybe lots of protostars) so that could also be viable if u arent willing to procedurally generate an entire cluster but look at space engine. they can do that easily
  9. Globular clusters are very interesting places that as far as I know have never been featured in the game and they are cool because stars are very densely packed. This is why the sent some radio signals to them because the higher amount of stars increases the chance for life. I read some article also speculating that since stars are closer interstellar travel would be easier and we might see signs of a civilization trying to colonize its cluster or an ongoing war between two species inside one. So it would be nice to have a mod that places you on a new homeworld in the middle of a globular cluster with many big giant stars, black holes, neutron stars, and any other type literally at your doorstep some as close as 1 light year and the grand centerpiece would be a black hole at the center for you to check out. Maybe a mod that places you in the area of a cluster but not inside of it so you have to fly to it yourself. Anyway I just thought it would be a good idea because it would make interstellar travel more easier and also give you a mini "galaxy" to fly around.
  10. But shoemaker levy 9 was a comet which caused impact energy millions of times of the biggest nukes we have. im saying what if you were to drop a tsar bomba on jupiter or saturn or the ice giants. would the mushroom cloud expand down because there is no ground so it would be like a double mushroom cloud going both up and down?
  11. I do not have a very good understanding of nukes other than that they split atoms and get a lot of energy to make a big boom. I also know that in a vacuum with no atmosphere there is no mushroom cloud so the fireball just keeps expanding and does a lot more destruction but I don't really know how it would work on other planets with atmospheres I guess on venus it would be smaller cause of the thicker atmosphere. i remember there was some drawing i saw of some future space bomber dropping a nuke on a hovering soviet base on jupiter and there is a massive mushroom cloud but would that actually be the case. so please tell me guys how it would be different
  12. I want there to be the original game modes but with online counterparts, career online could have the option to cooperate with other people, or space race or it could be like GTA online where its just tons of people completing missions for money and getting bigger and bigger and the more $$$ you get more toys to play with and to bully your competitors with. there could be some chaos mode like sandbox where anybody can join up and ppl just go crazy
  13. does it work on low gravity places like the mun or duna
  14. I had been wondering of the guys who make OPM would port it to KSP 2
  15. Inner Planets Mod- Adds hypothetical planet vulcanoid asteroids and the planet Vulcan adds a trojan asteroids to Moho and Eve
  16. And if so can there be an option for "proximity chat" where if you are not connected to com net of another craft you can't voice chat with that person.
  17. Here are Jupiters rings if they were bright enough to be visible: Basically Jupiters rings are dust, you cannot see them with your own eyes unless you go behind the planet and the rings get backlit. So basically Jools rings would be modelled after this, they would be very sparse and the biggest particle would be maybe 10 m. So going in Jools rings will just look like floating through an disc of dust with a few tiny rocks floating in the distance
  18. So in normal KSP all the asteroids including comets have plenty of ore. Thats nothing to think about close to the sun but past and inside the asteroid belt IRL all the asteroids have ice so for the sake of realism it would be really nice if there were different types of asteroids with different compositions and amounts of ore depending on where the are from their star. So here are the classes I came up with Hot: Hot asteroids that are molten, most of the ore is unusable due to being lava, can be found in hot Moho neighborhood parts of star systems Temperate: Perfect asteroids, entirely ore, can be found in habitable zone areas. Cold: These asteroids are part ice and part rock, they can be found in asteroid belt like areas. Frigid: These asteroids are entirely ice, good luck trying to mine them, there is no rock to be found. They can be found beyond Jool neighborhood areas and in interstellar space. (Note: if life support is a thing in KSP 2 they could be mined and melted to give Kerbals water) There is also a question I have, will you be able to take ring particles and mine them, if so it would be nice to add very thin basically invisible rings to Jool that can approached for mining.
  19. Like this: (and yes I know this might not be the most realistic bc call of duty)
  20. I'm sure a lot of you nerds are imagining star wars stuff but I am talking modern 21st century space warfare. By this I mean anti satellite missiles, space interceptors, space station raids, nuclear missiles exchanged between large space ships or stations in orbit. I also think it would be nice to bring up what astronaut vs astronaut combat will be like. Floating around in 0G shooting at enemies inside a space station will be an entirely different kind of war. And this kind of war is very likely to play out soon. So what do you guys think the first war in space will be
