  1. I’m sure someone else has pointed it out, but in case no one has noticed, Northern parts of Canada, Greenland and Russia are stretched toward the North Pole, like the warping you get toward the poles on a rectangle map. I’m pretty sure the south pole is like this too.
  2. De collisions get applied to trees? I have collisions on and tried flying through some of the trunks with a prop plane at around 70 m/s with no impact. Am I going too fast?
  3. Try reinstalling Parallax and Kopernicus. Do not overwrite the old folders, completely delete them before you install new files
  4. I'm glad to report a great performance increase on my side, too! Glad the issue was resolved, even if it didn't pertain to Parallax.
  5. This also happens when you attempt to EVA when you can't. It looks like it's the same issue with changing craft, and will likely get resolved with that fix you're working on. Switching to IVA and back does fix it like the other problem. Thought I'd share if it was of any use or relevance
  6. Scatters will indeed be consistent, in the same spots and shapes and sizes and all that, from scene changes to restarting the game***. Just find a spot without too many rocks *** @Gameslinx confirm on this
  7. CobaltWolf doesn’t wanna add Saturn C8 because it’s an “Ugly thing” and then makes this /j awesome work especially with the textures!
  8. I guess performance varies. The only other variable I know of is that my FPS was tested on the surface of the Mun, but I’m not sure if that affects performance.
  9. Gameslinx asking ME for guidance?? Anyway... Obviously, you need Sigma Dimensions (at least, that's what I used). I use the 2.5x scale config from this. It's an old release, but it still works. The same settings in these configs can be found in Settings.cfg in SigmaDimensions, which is why I guess it still works after 2 years. In that instance, I changed the landscape multiplier in the downloaded config from 0.4 to 1, so the land doesn't look pancaked compared to stock. 2.52 is 6.25, so I set the density multiplier to 6.25 for my game. Most of the information can be found in the readme in Sigma Dimensions, and the rest is easy to infer. That should be everything you need to replicate the performance issues I was having.
  10. Sorry, badly worded message, I meant the opposite. To compensate for rescale, I set it to 6.25 density, then came extreme FPS issues. I did a reinstall of parallax and forgot to change the density multiplier and turn collisions back on, so FPS was much more bearable. GameData/Parallax/Config/ParallaxGlobal.cfg open that, change the collisions to "true".
  11. Pretty please? Also, KSP.log from the test trial with only parallax (and AVP, Scatterer, and EVE ). The log is much smaller this time, so if there is anything to investigate, it would be in here. EDIT: Reloaded the game today, this time with collisions set to false. Relatively smooth 35 FPS all around. Not sure why this is the case. EDIT 2: it was because my density multiplier was set to 1 when it should have been 6.25 to compensate for rescale. That could be it folks, performance loss with density multiplier because of rescale
  12. If it helps, my screen resolution is 2560x1080. Thought I'd mention since you said something about ballisticfox's resolution
  13. After finding outsthat Harmony is a new dependency of Kopernicus, I ran the game with AVP 8k, TUFX, Parallax, EVE and scatterer. FPS is around 25 with no scatters on screen, and 10-13 when panning the camera around. Verdict: scatters have a considerable performance impact (who knew) but somewhere in my massive modlist, one or more things are making my game unplayable, but only while looking at scatters. Are the OPM scatters unique like the stock planets, or just mun rocks painted whatever color necessary?
  14. Hence the footnote Anyway, I'll be trying a save with 90% of my mods cut out in a second and get back to you on that. 1.12.3, latest version
  15. This is me. Task manager says GPU is at 100% and memory is at 77% when its at its worst (5 FPS!). CPU is really low, only 16%. ksp.log (google drive) Specs: Edit, to note: I have a bunch of mods, so I would understand if it's not Parallax's fault for the performance. However, I believe it is indeed Parallax's fault because performance jumps back up when there are no scatters on the screen.
  16. If you have BDB and PhotonCorp installed, The parts won’t show up because the parts getting added are just copied from BDB and PhotonCorp. The RL 20 B2 engine from BDB, the Delta Cryogenic Second Stage(the 3.125m one) from BDB, and the SRB-5 booster from PhotonCorp are the parts you need
  17. Engine reliability has been removed from Skyhawk Kerbalism because its calculations for burn time and ignitions are, well, unreliable. My best guess is that is what all the missing entries are related to.
  18. I was gonna make a joke along the lines of "you cant post pictures from (other game)" but no other game is as good as this
  19. I know how you feel, and I share your frustration. However, BDB is a hard dependency of SSS, and without it, a good chunk of all the nodes in the tech tree will be empty. I switched quite often between BDB/SSS and stock with TETRIX tech tree because of just how much the loading times and VAB part list is impacted. But there are essential parts in BDB that I can't live without (the Gemini Landing Legs being a huge one, because there are no other flat landing legs in any other mod), so I eventually got used to ignoring a significant amount of the parts in BDB. I would suggest Janitor's Closet mod to filter out BDB parts or the entire mod itself. It might not be very helpful in early game, because of essential parts for progression are from BDB, but it helps
