  1. Haven't watched it yet, hopefully there's something juicy in there
  2. That is SO crispy. That type of payload bay, the sounds, the animations... all of that is fantastic. Very hype.
  3. That's a pretty dang good tutorial! I'm excited for the rest of them. I had no idea the rotation of a body can give rockets a boost like that, and I call myself a KSP enthusiast...
  4. CM Dakota (the new one) said that the screenshots we've been seeing as of late are potentially months old. I suppose we can assume that even the early "Beta Gameplay" stuff is at most ~6 months old. Lots of changes happen in between each screenshot, so only time and early reviews will tell what the game really looks and feels like. I also told Dakota goodnight and he replied with "gangnam," so I'm a little scared.
  5. Likely an issue with teleporting around. Maybe they started on the launch pad and teleported to Duna orbit, and that's why things are a little out of line; I've heard it can happen in KSP1 so maybe they're having a similar issue here. Not really sure though. I'm really quite impressed with the lighting on the yellow/gold section, that looks really nice.
  6. Control surfaces can be adjusted to your liking, although idk if we'll get things like "the whole wing can turn like all all-flying tail" or whatnot. As for fuel, maybe we'll see some simple volume calculations minus some % for internal material and that's that (above a certain volume anyway, where fuel tanks would actually fit).
  7. Night is dark now, would you look at that! Someone said "put a kerbal in it"
  8. Some of it isn't really... relevant info? "Duna still has ice caps" and "Specific launch times will be released early Feb" aren't really things you'd put in the knowledge repository (okay the Duna one might be but you get the point). There's some stuff thats relatively minor or unrelated to KSP2 content or gameplay.
  9. If I had to guess, maybe it was built in the VAB and then teleported to Duna orbit for the shot, and the teleporting system isn't as perfect as it needs to be. Some values for part locations got rounded or were off by a few thousandths or something. Space is big, and numbers are big too. Sounds like we need another thread then. I try and keep on top of things going on in Discord, but I'm sure I miss (and forget) some stuff.
  10. So looking at those Duna/spacecraft pictures, and specifically the gif that was posted on the discord, I noticed some... weird stuff. As you can see, there's an odd gap in between the cockpit and cargo bay behind, as well as the last 2 sections towards the engines being all out of alignment. Looking closer at the ship, there are all sorts of parts with this issue. I have no idea what may cause it, but I sincerely hope it's been fixed or will be fixed before early access, cause that's quite alarming. Everything looks good, except that.
  11. It might be a LOD thing. The visual quality of all the "Beta Gameplay" screenshots has varied wildly, so we can only assume they're testing things and getting values sorted prior to EA.
  12. And seeing as I'm both here and there, I'd say you're correct on this. We also get the chance to hear immediate feedback on ideas/suggestions/questions from devs and moderators over on Discord, which is nice. One thing we heard from Nate Simpson the other night is that Duna still has its ice caps, although I'd imagine they're quite small since we don't see them on the more recent Duna pics and the gif.
  13. There's a million different reasons things are the way we see them, but I'm becoming less and less hopeful for the graphical side of the game. All I've seen as of late is downgrades from what was shown off before in Show and Tells and feature videos, which makes me sad It's possible it was done to improve FPS prior to optimization, but again, that's one of a million possible reasons.
  14. Dang I sure hope so because it's quite disappointing to see graphical downgrades after everything they've been showing off for the past few years... I just hope they're running on low graphics or haven't fully implemented all the systems yet.
  15. I would hope so, but it says "Beta Gameplay," so I would assume its the game.
  16. I think its a loop. At 2:27:15 it had a stutter and flashed the "Rating Pending" thing in the bottom left. Snazzy, well done!
  17. I've seen stars + reflections (flashing sometimes), that red streak through the sky, and minor flashes across the whole screen, but nothing particularly out of the ordinary.
  18. It's just a timelapse of the KSC; there's screenshots already on the forum, but if its the music you want then you may be out of luck.
  19. I hope we get some in depth camera tools, similar to games like No Man's Sky and Horizon Zero Dawn. Even though I do have some gripes with the visuals we see here compared to what we've seen before (clouds specifically), I can already tell that cinematic montages of KSP2 are going to be mind-bogglingly beautiful.
