  1. This mission report has me hooked! I really enjoy the storytelling and dialogue from the Kerbonauts. Also, what did you mean about "horror stories" involving the Kerbalism CME mechanic? I play on a Kerbalism save and I want to know before I do anything beyond Kerbin.
  2. What do you mean, "CIA/Secret Service" part? There was never any secret space program. The only space program endorsed by the Federated States of Vankadia is KASA. I will not be excepting any more questions involving this nonsense. Thanks! I've put extra thought into the storyline and lore this time, so I hope it'll be a more cohesive story than the previous one. *** In other news, I'm updating my KerbalX with the two craft shown in Chapter 1. I'll be adding crafts as the report goes on. The first two are pretty much identical to Pathfinders 0 and 1 from Sky's Not the Limit but craft will be more different from here on out, although probably with similar names.
  3. We're back! On the Road to the Stars is OUT! Go check it out! I spent all day working on this and it is now pretty late but its worth it!
  4. Alright, you've waited long enough... On the Road to the Stars: A KSP Mission Report On the Road to the Stars is a "reboot" of my old mission report, The Sky is Not the Limit. It is about the Kerbal Aeronautics and Space Administration (KASA), a space program founded in the Federated States of Vankadia to counter the Telosteni Union's space program. If it all goes to plan, one day this space program will blossom into Kerbalkind's top space program, spearheading the way into the cosmos. The save settings will be a custom difficulty with no Kerbal respawns, G-force limits, plasma blackout, and 1.5x science rewards. There are also a large number of mods, including Kerbalism, Outer Planets Mod, and Exploration Plus. The full list is below. Modlist (Updated 9-7-24) Table of Contents: It's definitely been a while since the last update for The Sky is Not the Limit (a bit under two months), but I'm really optimistic that I can finally do what I dreamed of doing in the original report with this one. My modlist is drastically reduced, the forums are stabilized again, and I'm in a Kerbal mood again. There's no point doing any more procrastination. Before we start, I'd like to thank some people. I know, it's a bit cringe and cliche but I really want to give some credit out. @Kerbalsaurus, for giving me help planning the new report as a fellow mission report writer and reader. @Toaster355, for giving me tips on how to improve the visuals and photography of the report, and even lending me his superb TUFX profile. And finally, to @Kerb24, @Maria Sirona, @Kimera Industries, @dsplaisted, @Watermel00n, @Royalswissarmyknife, and @Venturer2Space, for being supporters of the report since its beginning. But I don't want to keep you waiting any longer. So, let's jump right in... *** Volume 1: Race for Space - Objective: Land a Kerbonaut on the Mun and return them safely to Kerbin. Chapter One: Clear Skies Author's note:
  5. Belka did lots of things wrong, and the Osean Broadcasting Corporation is a very reliable news source.
  6. I've encountered this issue as well. When you load a quicksave or leave and enter your vehicle via the tracking station, if any Kerbals have that suit with a custom texture it kind of breaks. It happens only with the "Vintage" suit so watch out.
  7. I know it's been a long time since I've talked about this, but work is being done on the reboot. Just wanted to let you guys know.
  8. I updated the thread to be an Ace Combat/Project Wingman thread. AC and Project Wingman come hand in hand nowadays anyway, so I thought it'd be good to let you guys talk about Project Wingman as well.
  9. P 1 @ColdJ, @Kerb24, @Iapetus7342, @dsplaisted, we really need to get out of this endless loop soon.
  10. I believe you're thinking of Signatures. Signatures can be set in your Account Settings and can be filled with links, quotes, pictures, and other little bits.
  11. P 2 @Iapetus7342, @Kerb24, @dsplaisted, @ColdJ, we're outnumbered but gaining ground!
  12. Ervo Kerman was sent by himself on a mission to Onrefni, Kcalbeloh's innermost planet. It was known to be covered in lava and the surface cracking from the harsh tides. However, science was to be had, and perhaps unique resources to be uncovered. Ervo was one of the highest skilled pilots from TP-2 and was launched by himself on a Prospector scout SSTO. He was assisted by an automated flight computer, but while preparing to do orbital insertion over Onrefni, the computer was confused by the strange gravitational dynamics of a tidally locked planet with a black hole, and mistakenly started burning to increase speed. Ervo was too busy conducting science over Onrefni to notice, and by the time he did, it was too late. Prospector had already expended all its propellant and was on a descent trajectory into Kcalbeloh. Gale Kerman - Testing an experimental lander while landing in the Munar night...
  13. Eurika Kerman was giving orders to explore underwater to search for anomlaies on AZ-82b4. Surface expeditions hadn't yielded results, but anomalous signals had been emitted from deep underwater. An underwater excursion vehicle was built on-site at the colony and released over the coordinates by a separate boat. Eurika continued to dive downward toward the Area of Interest, but soon the pressure limit was closing in and she prepared to abort the mission. Seconds after she radioed the surface vessel however, her controls immediately disabled. She continued diving downward at the same attitude she had oriented the vessel, and for her final moments she watched as the altimeter ticked away... Vitoze Kerman - going on EVA over Rouqea (Kcalbeloh Planet System) to repair the space station.
