  2. AC Music Appreciation Post 1: Keep in mind that I don't really know anything about music and I'm just like "if it sounds good I like". Some of the most underrated songs in AC7 are the LRSSG Briefing songs. LRSSG Briefing I's combination of military horns and drums really sell the feeling of being assigned to the real, elite military once again. LRSSG Briefing II is a large change from the previous briefing. It's simple and quiet, which fits the tone of darkness and confusion after the satellite network goes down. LRSSG Briefing III might be my favorite out of the four briefings, though. After fighting for survival in chaotic times, Osea and Erusea are putting aside their differences to end the war and go on the offensive against the remaining insurgents and the Arsenal Bird. In this briefing, the music is brighter and hopeful to symbolize that the end of the war is in sight. LRSSG Briefing IV is music of the final briefing of the campaign. Once again, it's quiet, almost somber, but turns more hopeful at the end as the song gets brighter in tone with the letimotif. Basically, I really like the LRSSG Briefing music because, unlike the other briefing songs, they convey a lot of the moods of the missions that follow them.
  3. floppa is a cat from a meme. Beluga (not the whale) is a cat from a meme. The two stare each other down in their PNG formats. It's a draw! Rock-paper-scissors-shoot, anything you want to do!
  4. I cleared it with the F-15C + PLSL after a few tries (when I got to the shipyards I was almost immediately downed by 15 missiles and thousands of tons worth of lead in AA). The PLSL made the Mimic Squadron bossfight especially easy, too.
  5. Got all three of Ace Combat 7's DLC Missions. Unexpected Visitor was pretty easy. Anchorhead Raid was a pain because there's approximately one billion CIWS and AA cannons on you at any minute. Also, I'm playing these on Hard, so anti-air is actually difficult to deal with and not just a slight annoyance. I did those two missions yesterday, and today I'm going to do Ten Million Relief Plan. Wish me luck...
  6. The F-117N "Seahawk" was proposed as a navalized F-117 Nighthawk. Just imagine that. The design is very different from the original F-117, as it now possesses two engines, horizontal stabilizers, a different leading edge, and a bubble canopy. This design was received poorly by the US Department of Defense due to its limited mission-capability, since it was designed as an attack fighter and had limited payload capacity. But it looks hella cool.
  7. @RedAl1en1, you were the third poster in this round, so you would have to judge the previous two entries. And @ColdJ, you have to judge the previous two entries, however there were three last round due to error. Now with that out of the way... *** The Kerbals jump from the "trampoline" into the swimming pool, where they get to eat pudding. It's a draw! Rock-paper-scissors-shoot, anything you want to do!
  8. The Falcon 9 touches down in the beautiful field, unfortunately scorching the flowers around it into dust. @Aviator01 wins! Rock-paper-scissors-shoot, anything you want to do!
  9. Are ---> Were Ace Combat 8 is pretty much confirmed, there was a leak on a VA's resume, I believe, that said an "AC8" would release in 2025.
  10. I've been thinking about this mission report for a long time. As of now, my KSP game is quite horribly optimized, and the lag is still painful anywhere in the save file. And for the mission report itself, I've noticed that the bulk of any updates I've added for the past couple of months are just retcons. Even now I'm not completely satisfied with the storyline. And it's hard to fix these issues, especially the optimization, because removing mods will probably break the install. Also, old screenshots don't align with the changing storyline. So, I made a decision. I've put a lot of thought into this, and I've decided that the best course of action is to shelve this report. BUT this won't be the end of The Sky is Not the Limit. I'm going to start an entirely different thread and a new save file. Consider it a reboot, if you will. I'm doing this so that I can safely remove mods without breaking vessels to optimize my game better, and I can revise the storyline and make it something that I can build upon for not only the report itself, but perhaps some spinoffs, too. The same space race and KASE plots are still going to continue, and once the new save and mission report are created, I'll make it my goal to quickly catch us back up to where we left off. It was a hard decision to undo a literal year of progress, but I want to be able to take this save to big places. The TL;DR version of this is that this specific thread is going to get shelved due to lag and stuff, but the storyline will be restarted and continued in a different thread. However, like I did say, this report was already a year's worth of dedication. While I promise that I'll go through with the reboot of this report, I'll have to take a bit of a break before I start again. I'll also have to take that break so that I can lay out a storyline that I'm satisfied with so that I don't have to do nearly as many retcons. I hope you guys are okay with this decision. I'm sorry if the wording is a bit confusing, but I promise this storyline will be continued, just in a different thread, and potentially with a name change. Thank you all for the continued support of this mission report. -TwoCal
  11. Banned for being able to sleep and not giving us your secret!
  12. Floor 5050: An empty gray void. Your feet stand on nothing, and there are no walls to border off the room. It seems the building itself has given up after the calamity of the previous floors.
  13. The Abrams tries to shoot at the nanobots but keep missing due to them being so small. The 20 nanobots climb on the tank but they're too small to do anything to it. It's a draw! Rock-paper-scissors-shoot, anything you want to do!
  14. Granted, but you have to get it at the Department of Manned space Vehicles (DMV). Have fun. I wish for an actual concept of NASA's lunar base and deep space vehicle.
  15. Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown If I'm the average person, I'd say I'd have a roughly 50-50 chance of survival depending on where I live. If I live in Osea, for instance, I'd have a near 100% chance of survival. If I live anywhere in Usea, I'd probably get killed by a stray missile from a fighter jet participating in one of the like 15 wars they have there every second. If I'm a main character, I'm invincible because of the plot. That's that.
  16. "Actually, it's called the Thunderbolt II, not the Warthog."
